Does anyone find the interior cam distracting? The way the steering wheel lags behind my actual inputs and is incapable of hand over hand really messes with my driving.

It has bugged me, but not to the point I don't want to use it, there was a thread about the hand movements somewhere here...

Cockpit view - the view from the cockpit - as opposed to the interior view - which sounds like one of those design shows on the cable TV channels

Everyone cries about seeing the steering wheel; I look beyond to where I am driving to-and yeah sometimes I am driving to the gravel trap

Cockpit view when I can. looking forward to having the fun of approaching the corkscrew at Laguna Seca with interior view on,
having the added challenge of having the A pillar & hood obscuring the view. :)

Am not sure if i already answered in this thread or not, but

IF playing with 6Axis, mainly with the Chase view, but on rare occasions, i will switch view with the rest (Bumper, Hood, Roof, Cockpit...)

If playing with Wheel Setup, it will be Cockpit view (if available), and sometimes i will/would switch to Bumper, Roof or Hood (but NO WAY Chase?! it's too weird to see your real steering wheel floating above the on-screen car  we are not playing arcade games for crying out loud!)

I cant believe standard cars will have no cockpit view at all.
look at the Standard/Premium thread right now, it seem that you might have to chance to see cockpits in standards...

Cockpit for hairpins and chicanes , sometimes switch to chase view in the straights.
I would do the opposite! :D I feel that i can better place my car in the hairpins and chicane if i have an exterior view...

I mean that the chase cam isn't focused, on the car you drive. That's what i mean.
What are you talking about, i think Chase cam in GT5-P is very very focused on the car! I didnt play with GT3, so i have no idea what you refer to...
BUT in GT5-P, it's very good i think.

just my 2cents

Interior view for Premium, Bumper cam for Standard ;)

I normally use "bumper cam" as that is where I seem to get my quickest times but saying that on long straights I will definitely be switching to "interior cam" on the premium cars.

It's been "bumper view" for me since GT1. And believe me when I say I really want to use "interior view", but for some reason I just can seem to get the feel of the car in that view. My times are also faster in bumper than in interior. Without a doubt though, when GT5 comes out I'll continue to testing using the interior view.

I never could quite get the hang of chase view. The feedback from the car in that view felt "delayed". Its almost as if the farther away you are from the car the less feedback you get from it... thats just me anyway.

It depends on the track. For Suzuka I use roof cam and Daytona Road I use bumber cam. I've never tried interior cam much. I'm never setting fast lap times when I do use it tho that's for sure.

Borrowing some stuff from GAF :)

No more roof cam for driving, we have a proper hood cam now, about time too!!!!
I'll be using this instead of the "bumper" cam from now on

old build, Prologue'ish - roof cam

new build bonnet cam - the camera is set at head height in front of the windscreen
