It's whatever I have or do not have on my feet at the time. Or if my feet or cold. Or if I'm too lazy to go upstairs and find a pair of clean socks. But I don't race with shoes on my feet - no pedal feel.
I do not like driving in competition with shoes on my feet - but the SCCA doen't like that - so I usually find the thinnest sole shoe I can find with a leather upper. Those racing shoes are so durn expensive!
I used to prefer to just wear socks, but ever since I inverted the pedals wearing shoes feels much better. I also used to like to wear my old flimsy shoes but now i prefer wearing my new stiff shoes.
I wear socks, but my socks are made out of mostly bamboofibers, wich have several good effects on your feet. Keeps you warm when cold, and cools you down when too hot, and they´re surprisingly grippy!
Bare foot...easily the best way to play..you get more control with it Socks...wow I am shocked people play this way....it must be slippery unless they have glue under their socks!
I wear socks with my G25. I find barefoot to feel too funny in my opinion and sneakers take away too much pedal feel. If there was more force feedback or any at all from the pedals i would be able to wear sneakers/shoes. For now socks suit me best. I don't seem to have any problems with feet slipping or pedals feeling slippery. 👍
