Oh really, I didn't know that

Another thing you might not have known is that the watt rating for cheaper companies can be at a lower temperature, which could possibly be why it passes your stringent tests at various agencies.

Totally agreed. Also you have to be really careful getting cheap PSUs because fluctuating voltages will harm your components.

Also look at the voltages of that Eurolabs PSU.

Sure it's '750W'. But you got 40A on the 3.3v and 5v rails. Which is useless really. All that runs on the 3.3v rail is RAM so you definitely don't need 40A on it.

42A on the 12V rail is relatively decent for maybe a 500-600W PSU, but obviously they don't have too much faith in even that cause they only supply one PCI-E connector. Together with only a One-Year warranty, when most power supply makers are doing Five, even Seven, year warranties, I wouldn't trust that thing in my opinion.

I'm backing up the files from my ipod classic onto my external HDD so I can exchange for the newer classic at best buy. I'm doing this because I noticed that my three year warranty with best buy was going to expire on December. So I'm giving back my 80GB classic from 2007 and I will be getting a new 160GB in exchange. A deal that I can't pass up for yet and I can't keep on waiting or else Apple might close the classic product line. I just can't take that chance.

EDIT: I backed up about 41GB of data from my ipod. I had some more files but they are worthless now.

Downloaded an image build of the Chrome OS and Virtual Box to run it in. Looking at some reviews.. it's a good idea, but it's too early - not many people want all their stuff stored in "the cloud".

Well I could not get a new ipod because best buy changed their policy a year ago. So now my $60 3 year warranty is useless.

I have gotten the software for my cell phone. Exported the pictures and put them on facebook. Amazing picture quality for a cell phone.

Well, got Chromium OS, and it's really laggy on the virtual box (well, I've got like 1.5 GB RAM and a 64mb integrated graphics). It's essentially an OS for a person who lives on the net... It doesn't even have something to sync with your iPod, mp3 player etc. Of course, it's got a word processor, and excel stuff, but that's on the net. and same with the music - you've probably gotta go onto you youtube just to listen to it...

I was thinking Chromium would be good for me, then I remembered I actually do stuff on my computer, like store things, and play games.

I was thinking of almost replacing it - then realised that I actually have a computer, not a tiny tablet PC.

Today, I bought a ton of Wolfgang Gartner with an iTunes gift card, and I arranged to sell my 3rd gen iPod touch so I can buy the 4th gen tomorrow.

Burnt a DVD made from old family film, have to print up the case insert eventually. And I cleaned up some useless files from my external HD.

Defragging, overclocking graphics card, playing SC2, trying to free up space, updating iTunes.

Lovely trip back into Windows 7 :L

Today, I consolidated and updated my backups because I think my hard drive on my laptop is on its way out.

Well I took the plunge and tried Chrome out properly (DLed it yesterday) and I am very pleased with it. Simple, fast and effective it's worked perfectly for me for everything I need with less clutter at the top and just a little more swiftness from page to page. I was told to beware that the flash isn't always great but I've had no issues and it wouldn't be one for me anyway, recommend it to anyone for at least a try 👍.

I then decided to optimise and re-arrange my toolbar, quick launch, desktop to make my life easier and then some keyboard shortcuts to open any of the 3 main browsers plus my most used programs (along with toolbar icons for each so the other folk who use this thing can find the one they want in one click). In my personal opinion less time spent using the touch pad on this laptop is always a good thing.

I'm taking a Digital Imaging class as my sisters wanted me to have a "fun class". Since they use Photoshop CS4, its been fun learning new things. One hilarious thing I've already learned to do is taking someone's head and putting it on another person's body. Now I can ruin people's lives the way I want to  I did one assignment for homework by putting the head of an actor I do like on the body of a certain racecar driver I don't like and comedy essued :D

I just added Stykz to my Mac. You can create little stick figure animations and .gif. It's great. It's a freeware program too :D (we all like those)! Click here to download it. :)

Replaced my rear case fan, installed an intake fan in the front and added two side exhaust fans to help prevent dust buildup in the case :) 69cfm total intake, 149cfm total exhaust.

At the moment I'm running 276cfm in and 200cfm out if I max out the fans. It's basically a wind tunnel which is what I want, but hence why I need a manual fan controller. I know a lot of people want negative pressure but I think it's not suitable in all cases (snap!).

Also got another 5770 for Crossfire. Yummy.

*Though exhaust doesn't include GPUs

I dont want to start a new thread. But here I go again.

I want to build a PC from Scratch.

AMD VS Intel
Which one? I know AMD I can get cheaper over Intel, but Inel right now is the King.

So anyone could build me a PC (not including screen, Mouse, Keyboard, speakers)
Nice and Cool case,
At least 6gigs of Ram, and at lest 800w+ supply
Newegg and Amazon stores only.

Price point, 1200-1500 (cheaper the better, but not too cheap so it will last me bit some time)

I was building month or more ago AMD build on newegg, but many have conviced me to go Intel because of the quality they have.

I need to clean out all the 🤬 out of my Mac. But the problem is, it's still under warranty, which means I've got to pay $150 to clean it out.
