Honestly, though nobody wants to hear it, PRACTICE. If you don't need it right now, go away for a while and race and race and race until you do need it, then come back and try again. Practice racing with cars that are not as powerful as the competition, so you're forced to drive well to beat them.

I was frustrated, and laid off trying the S license for about 3-4 months. After completing Amateur I came back to it and got the S in about 1 night.

try doing it the final (if thats where you're stuck) in manual transmission if you dont already, and use only 3rd and 4th gear. tried hundreds of times in auto (lazy...) and then switched to manual and stayed 3rd and 4th and beat it in like 3 tries.

no, dont listen to them!
all you have to do is use the ghosts. it gives you something phisical to beat rather than an empty track.

4 words.

Practice. Manual. Third gear.

OK, but perhaps others who don't have the S License can read this thread, and not have to start another thread just like it...

But anyway, you could try studying the Ghost Demo before attempting the tests.

Watch the replays over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Then watch the demo over and over and over and over and over and over and see where you are losing time.

learn the manual tranny...i've shaved more than a few seconds off my standard lap times this way. worth the time and effort...trust me...better yet, learn to use the manual while taking ur tests

Class - and almost exactly what I'd have said.

"This bloke is looking lost, and he sees a guy walking down the street with a violin case under his arm, so he goes over and asks him for directions.
"Excuse me?" says the man. "How do you get to Carnegie Hall?"

(punchline pending) :D
