I just thought that this might be a fun thread to answer to so im gonna kick it off.. I just got the hang of this drifting thing today ... and I used a FTO LM Race Car... ok now its your turn :)

ive drifted s13,s15,rps13, r32 gtst, fc3s, cwest s15, toms chaser, r34vspecII, ae86, jza80 and others i cant think of right now

all standard . with all mods except turbo, lsd& weight red other i use it ...too all cars ...:D pretty easy to drift with that even long...samre like lanevo make a vids . i cant send vids sorry

oh sorry you said first car

my first car i successfully drift was the rps13

im still pretty new at drifting but i first used a FD3S RX-7. then switched over to AE86 and im learning with that now and i also use the S13 and S14 sometimes.

Sorry to spark a little bit but no you didn't JDM, cause a Honda civic type R doesn't drift. Now, the first car I drifted with was a FC3S. And the cars I've used
FC3S, FD3S, LM F3SS, S2000(Normal And Type V), LM S2000, Spoon/mugen/spoon race S2000, 240SX fastback, Cwest Silvia, Silvia S14, 22B, 3000GT, Supra, EVERY Skyline cause they're all almost identical -.-, and others here and there.

My first car that I drifted successfully with was my Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 V-SpecII. Then I conquered my ZZII and then the Subaru WRX LM and then all of the FRs and the MRs :)

My first girlfriend was a silver Spec-R aero S15...
then my mistress is now a lightnin' yellow R34 V-sepc II

Ah well, maybe I'll learn that your first love is not necessarily true love...(brings back bad memories... :( ) *sob*

The first car I actually drifted some corners with was a 2-tone green/grey S13 that I added some hp and sims tires too...it was extremely hard to learn with because my settings sucked and it slide around like it was on ice. The first car I actually got pretty good with was an FD RX7.

first drift cars
GT3: Cudaman's FC
IRL: '87 300ZX

current drift cars
GT3: Lancer Evolution V
IRL: '85 RX-7

my first real life drift car was a holden commodore (not the best choice)

now it is a RPS13:)

actaully it does, akina_86 did one with a Spoon Civic, https://www.gtplanet.net/gallery/photos/gt3_video/Spoon_Civic_Drift_Showoff.wmv , just copy and paste that in a new widow and u'll c, actually jsut click it

FF's can't do that, that's why it's a GAME, FF car's azz drag, and are forced to e-brake, there is no way for a FF car to have it's rear wheels slide out from behind it and remain in a foreward motion. There's alot more reasons why FF cars can't drift, but that's one reason. Yeah great some guy can do it in a 2D video game, doesn't mean it's REAL huh?

hate to see the flat spots on those rear tyres of that spoon civic:D

Well here's what I do, make it about 450 HP, but medium slick tires on there, TCS/ASM off, and lowered, and that's about it. But all the drivetrain mods, tripple plate clutch and lightened flywheel and carbon driveshaft.

my first car that i was sucessful with was the s2000 type v... i then moved back to my unsucesful cars... which included the fc, fd, rx8, ae86, and then moved to the 400r, subbie Sti Version VI, and laods of other cars... my personal fav is the speedster... and that is what i do everything with in this game now... well almost everything... cant neglect all the other car s i ahve lol...

for slicks use anyting between 400-600 hp for 4wd vehicles... usually i find that lightening one step makes the lighter 4wd cars easier to drift... and lightening all the way is best for hte heavy mo fo's...

for sims anything between 300-400 hp should be good enough... use close gear ratios all drivetrain mods... use stock lsd put chamber to your liking... and you have a choice changing vcd or keeping it at 30 or 40 or whatever... if you do the latter you will have to work a bit more to drift your car... but its possible just feint and brake to loose grip on all tires on med to low speed corners and fient on high speed ones... i believe there is a good vid maybe by lan evo or someone that displays 4wd drifting... not sure if they lowered vcd... that is definitely the easier way becuase it requires almost no change from fr and 4wd...

you must also remember that torque will be given to your front wheels whenever you gas... and countersteering coupled with gassing will pull you immediately out of the drift... basically gassing, braking, and letting of the gas is all you will need most of the time to control the majority of mid drift motion... search for 4wd drifting... i know that some exist and there were good explanations in some threads about a month ago...

IRL... ff cars can drift the "same" as any other vehicle... its just that with wider slip angles ff vehicles will not be able to prolong the drift like fr mr or 4wd because no force is provided to the rear wheels and the only way traction is used is to keep the vehicle stable... that is a simplified sense of what occurs when an ff car turns... traction can be exceeded just like any other car even without hte use of e brake... its just maintaining this at large slip angles is purely a function of initial speed, slip angle, and time until the speed runs out... however 4 wheel drift can be acheived and controlled with ff cars... well at least on turn where this style of driving will prevail... but its not drifting in the sense that fr 4wd and mr do it ( whether for exhibition or racing purposes)... i guess you could refer to ff drift as a type of sliding and that is it because no other technique can be used for exhibition or four wheel drifting with ff... e brake excluded (which is stupid)...

1st off its 3-d, 2ndly were talkin bout a game dip****, get it straight, who the hell was talkin bout real cars, stop bein a fuccktard and just cope with it, as u already said its a game, its not real, i know FFs cant drift like FR's in real life, i never said they could
