GT5 is also a video game. What sort of video game is fun when you have to commit to a very specific schedule that can possibly interfere with your real life?I can see youve been in this situation before. I dont know about you guys but I am after a simulated race experience. In reality as a race car driver , championships dont start when you have the time..... if you want to race , be there on time. There are plenty of leagues to choose from so I dont see a need to start your own , although it would be nice I agree , you probably should race in already established leagues to get a true race simulated experience.
I'm not saying that race series on GTP are bad in that regard, all I'm saying is that you make it sound as if even unnecessary elements of real life racing should be incorporated into GT5.
Sports games like 2K Sport's NHL series have done it right with regards to that, where you can advance days to your liking, and are not committed to playing on certain days.
