Now this I totally agree with. If you want to play with hybrids, 2.11 should be good enough - take yourself offline and play with your toys in peace. Continuing to attempt to hack in order to find a loophole that will allow hybrids online is just ridiculous.

This, I completely agree with. But in all honesty, I doubt they'll want to stay offline forever, and instead would want to hack the game yet again. Some of PD's staff may have to AGAIN lose focus on GT6 to fix this crap... Geez.

It is a fact that you cannot cheating the PP system (with engine swaps, chassis swaps, body swaps, grip multiplier). Everything you do affects the PP.

I will give you that the hidden tires will give a unfair advantage.

But i have been finding some interesting things about the tires. I am pretty certain that what I have figured out about the tires is the reason why all of the choices are not available.

Like comfort hard tires. With all the tires there are
Comfort hard
Comfort hard (C)
Comfort hard (V)

Ok pretty much everyone in the drifting community knows how fast the 2010 Camaro SS and the Corvette C6 are drifting.


Well from what I have gathered is that the tires produce another type of grip.

Basically what i am getting at is what I think PD has done look at the cars in real life that have more grip.

They apply the different tires (for each type) to that particular car.

As a example
I am pretty sure that in the Comfort hard class that the default tire for the Camaro is Comfort hard (V)

The description is pretty self explaitory. But i noticed it though testing them back to back.

But not every car need say the V version tires on. Makes them unrealistically grippy.

If GT6 is to be a PS3 game, maybe there is a way everyone could be happy. Most online games have a certain period after they become obsolete where the online portion still functions. So when GT6 is released, undo V2.12 in GT5 and allow hybrid cars online again. This way, people can share their hybrids in peace and show them off in online cruise lobbies, while using GT6 for legit gaming.

GT5 has a slow menu, period. Sometimes it takes longer the usual, sometimes not but even when it works it is SLOW compared to other stuff. With rF you can be on track in seconds. Well, let's keep it simple we don't even need comparing it to other platforms, let's stay on PS3.. what about GT5 Prologue. That menu was so much better, not only better looking, it was way faster. Try yourself if you have a copy.

For GT6 they better delete the whole menu and start from scratch.

The menus go slow when your internet connection or PSN is lagging. Next time its going slow just sign out of psn.
The only real issue I have with hacking in general is the restrictions,such as DRM,future games will have.Thats sorta why I dont want to see 2.12 get "hacked".I wouldve prefered PD just put restrictions in the seasonals that would revert the car back to OG state, or even just not allow the car.I doubt anyone would find a work around for that.Maybe when or if they find a work around for 2.12. They wont go as far as to ban entire PS3s.Only thing Sony more than likely would do is make PD implement some form of DRM in future GTs .

You expected the game to change after release? Interesting.

Also interesting, if your opinion of PD is so low, why do you bother playing their games? If you recall the news article in which Kazunori-san talked about the first GT and how he only went home a few times in that last year. That is focus beyond the call of duty. Quite a few of PD's staff also sleep on site.

You may not agree with what they have made, but calling them unfocused is unjustified.

As for the second part of your post. As PD have already responded to the hacking, that is a sign that they will not give up, even if that means more restrictions. A lot of people wanted further customisation options, so how favourably do you think PD will look on continued attempts to circumvent their patches for a thirty month old game?

Give them the chance to change it in GT6 or GT7 if 6 is on the PS3. They clearly were not happy with the state of the options in GT5 which is why they were never activated. It also shows that they were happy to include broader customisation option but possibly due to the GT5 game engine, it couldn't be implemented in the way they were happy with.

If you incite further hacking, they might just say no to putting the extra work in and you'd have only yourself to blame.

Once someone with experience of working with the GT5 game engine comes along and says: "yeah, all of that is really easy to do..." I'll believe it. Until then, all of these comments about how easy certain features are to add, are just wishful thinking.

Nope, RSS are still in the game, PD didn't deem that to be important enough to include in the update. Nor did they deem it important enough to keep out the 2500 hp/550pp car as well. Enjoy your hybrid free lobbies!!!!

I don't know what language GT5 is programmed in (probably C++), but I'm fairly confident in the belief that functions in their code can be commented out so they no longer work (btw, I don't know of a language that doesn't have comments, but it might exist). That would make save file modification irrelevant, since the supporting code would not be in place.

It's the opposite of impossible. A comment is a very simple thing to do.

Not being shamed on that, but being frowned upon (and laughed at by me) for managing to do the exact opposite of what everyone wanted. People hated hybrids because of the garbage million horsepower cars. People who hated hybrids because of the possible replica's and endless enthusiast cars, just don't get it.

As do all the unpaintable cars (that are paintable through hybriding). I think that if that's your only hybrid Eks, then you can make it again/borrow glitch it again in 2.12.
