Stage 5 supra is a beast.
KiroKaiPeople did try it. The game got an additional check on start-up of your currently used car so you can't swap parts or use HP multiplier anymore. There are work-arounds for this (using alternate ways of manipulating power output) that end up in insane HP figures, but the interesting realistic modding & swapping's pretty much killed.
Why can't these hackers hack tracks?
There would be less arguments
Sonygamer455I have heard that the cars are saved on the "game data" and not "save data" anymore, but not sure if I believe it. Can anyone confirm if this is true?![]()
Sonygamer455Can you still do the old marketplace trick of backing up your save on usb, sending a car, then copying your save back so you don't lose the car?

What will one do with a "hacked" track? Swap a corner from the Nurb with Sarthe?

if you're clever you're able to keep the swapped sound from engine swaps
I've been wondering, since racing super softs appear as 'sports hards' on most street cars then, are you able to enter them when the tyres are restricted?
You do realize that a mod car still required a great deal of tuning to be competitive, correct?
FastGT23That wasn't my point. My point was I'm using the game specs as they were given to me. Someone else is using same car but with better parts or whatever. How is that fair to me? I don't care if other people hack but don't come in a non hacked lobby and then use one
OdeFinnL2L, swapping or anything will change pp's yeah.
If specs allow people to tune car to maximum PP to that car, it gives modder/hacker/swapper possibility to gain advantage easily.
Many car on different tracks are on best when not full aero used, everyone have full tuned powers on their car and then comes modder/hacker/swapper who uses that "spare PP" what left from aero to adding bit more HP to his car.
Or taking bit more weight to drop PP's and adding more HP to car, over that limit what anyone else can do, defending at it wont help when getting weight first is not a point, weak tires and few more kg's will help on turns and fly on straight.
You still say at those type of cheaters can be find?
Okey, if doing multiple different checks then stupid cheater will be found,
if guy is clever he is not having HP's over maximum of normal car, but he has limited his HP's to gain better HP curve and long rev area where maximum HP exist.
That type of cheater you can't simply get out even doing 10x checks on lobby.
Happy defending for modder/hacker/cheaters league.
HylandAs we speak, there's a Gold Chrome'd GT40 Race Car and a S15 that is missing its front bumper in the lobby.
I couldn't care less but I thought it was no longer possible and was removed with the latest patch. Is it one of the things that the patch didn't fix?

Not defending them. Just saying with doing swaps, power multiplier, grip multiplier, downforce, ect affects PP. It was impossible to cheat the PP system with that. It has been proven many times too.
I went for the two region solution.
My old save games with quite some hybrids stay at 2.11 and i started new ones with a different region that is updated to 2.12. So i chose both answers in the OP question.
Works like a charm on 1 ps3. 👍
To bad my stealth cars won't be going online anymore. But that is a small price to pay to have the best of both worlds available with the switch of a disc.
This option has been mentioned in this thread about twice already and i think it is the best one available. 2.11 for offline and 2.12 for online.
What exactly did the update fix? there are still tons of modded hacked cars online, especially on route X... nothing has changed
It's extremely easy to hack..still
can still easilly make a negative PP X1...it's a complete mess.
Of course i had to make a 1000 hp supra, evo and skyline..that's just a given, and wingless.
ok, But you missed my point, what did the update "fix" if there are still Modded cars online in GT5 lobbies. You can no longer swap parts from other cars like engine, drivetrain, chassis, etc. The game will just reset your car.
