I see a purple formula gt in the used lot now but I'm 2 mil short. Guess I will have to resort to the birthday trick to get the money...

Is there a better year than 66, by selling the shelby cobra, to make money?

how much money does that give you?

If you have a 2010 birthdate then PSN, and GT5 won't let you online, I know because my son is 5 and he can't play GT5 online with me on his regular account.

Not sure if that's entirely right.. I was under the impression that as long as you set all parental control setting on that newly created acct. to "none" you can still do the BD glitch. There's plenty of people here getting '92 and later cars already.

Umm... My birthday is on the 28th of January, but I was born in '92, so I've got a Ferrari F40!
Or... A Honda Beat Version F (I love this one, my third GT4 car)
Or even a Jaguar XJ220!
At last, I can get a Peugeot 905 Race Car!

On the other hand, it's unfair to have a million-euro car in less than 5 minutes, while some people keep saving during weeks to buy a car kinda like a NASCAR Ford Fusion or even a Dodge Viper SRT10, nothing else.

Well for a lot of us, we have jobs and lives outside of video games. I can play an hour at most a couple days out of the week and a bit more on the weekends if I'm lucky. I paid $60 bucks to play a game, I don't have the time nor desire to sit and grind out a game for hundreds of hours to drive a fake car. If you are still in high school or college and have nothing but time, great, I had my chance as well. Now I don't.

GT5 is supposed to be fun for me. At a certain point driving the same race over and over just to rack up fake money and xp is the exact opposite. So you'll forgive me and the rest of us who love this exploit think the "it should be work" argument is retarded. I play GT5 when I don't want to work, not to have a second job.

I think Strada is right, because we have to pay a reasonable size of money to play a game rarely.
I know it, 'cause I have to study hard to get those max notes: 20s, 19s, 18s, 17s. Also, Strada's last phrase is right, because we don't have to get addicted in something unreal, we have to connect to the world.

I think I had one last word to say:
- Play safely and, as when of your birthday, have a good level.

I couldn't agree more, after all it's not like we're getting the game for free ANYWAYS. Most people already paid $65 for GT5, not counting all of those who bought the CE for $99. If you want to play by the rules and win the cars the "right" way(which btw I did until I was up to Lvl 20) and found about this thing, so be it. I don't have 3,000 free hrs of play time like most people.

Can anybody confirm this?

Hello everyone.

Are you annoyed of the one car per day limit? I think there is a solution:
To be able to send another car as a gift, sign out from the PS3 XMB (the leftmost column). This forces you to quit the game. Sign back in and put the game back on and you're ready to send again. Repeat as many times as you want!

Please tell here if it worked for you. At least it worked for me in a few trades! 👍

Correct.
I'm in the UK and had to do the Hong Kong master account trick to get post '92 accounts running.
Like you said, just make sure the chat and spending account settings are unrestricted.

Has anybody tried 2006 yet. I ran through the list and there are about 20 different cars. All are either racing cars or high end sports cars (Ferrari, Aston Martin, Z06, Viper) with the exception of 2 Alfa's and a Nissan and Infiniti sedan. I might give that a go in the next few days. I'd like to know how others have made out. Tonight I plan to try 2010, but all those Nascars seem to get in the way.

Is it me or there's a tendency for Race cars to come out much less frequent than regular cars? For example, I was trying to win a '54 Mercedez-Benz coupe 300 SLS or something like that(can't remember the right name for it now) and I got about 10 of those ugly Citroes 2CV as gifts. Another thing I noticed is the game plays a diferent "more exciting" song whenever winning a Race Car or a car that's worth a lot of money, anybody else noticed that?

I'm from 1948 (old man) and I have no idea if there is a car from that year in the game, so I guess I'll have to walk the tracks :)

'48. Ha, young puppy! Try my BY 1941. I bet there isn't one car car that goes that far back. :grumpy:

BTW I tried this a couple times and got nothing but slow Japanese sedans. Not a single race car to be seen...

As mentioned numerous times, you need to allow subaccounts to 'chat'. When making a subaccount on your main account, after the sub is made, you must continue to the end where you can toggle three options: allowing chat, spending limit, and restriction of content based on age. Change all to no and you're good to go.

Went through 2010 and 2009 last night. Went through about 30 each, and unfortunately no 905s or Bugatti =[ got everything else.

I signed up a sub account with a 1996 year and gt5 wont let me online because chat is disabled, but i have parental control set to none, and still says i cant chat. WTF

I've noticed that it plays different music when you get a race car.

Can you do this offline??

Or you have to be connected to the internet..?

Just going to ty and get the old cars.

Cheers in advance.

Got 19 Nascars, 19 Nascars today from farming 2010! It's like it knows I'm being cheeky and punishing me.
I'm going to throw out a suggestion, write down the log in details for all the accounts you're making so in a year if this still works you can make some more money if you need it in a year.

Tried it tonight for grins using 1970 and the first car I got was the Chaparell (sp?) 2j. Whoo hoo! Tried it a couple more times and got nothing but a couple early muscle cars. I really want the Toyota 7 but that looks to be really rare...

I tried to do it FOREVER to get a 908 and it never worked, I just kept getting Nascars. I got so sick of looking at Nascars I just went to a different year (I think I got something like 9 in a row).

What the heck? I just wasted like 30 minutes getting Kubelwagens, went to my main account, and I didn't receive any?

92 is the biggest cash so far I think, 138k for the f40, best car that year link to list

This spread sheet was super cool and really saved me a ton of time looking through this thread and the car list! Has anyone have a spread for the years not on this list? Other than 2008-2010. those years have been covered pretty well on this thread
