More new Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges are becoming available to players around the world, bringing a fresh set of five challenges — including some using content from the recent 1.63 update — to take on over the next week as your local clock ticks into Friday morning.
Weekly Challenges take the form of a bonus game mode, available only to players who’ve finished the main GT Cafe career. The events frequently feature some of those you may have missed, giving you a good excuse to mop up events to hit 100% in your dashboard, particularly with the bonus rewards.
Along with the four events from existing World Circuits races, there’s a fifth “special event” created just for the week — although there are some changes coming in December — and you can find the events in a special, green box in the World Map, World Circuits, and individual track selections.

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges – October Week 1 Races
Japanese 4WD Challenge 600 – Lake Louise
There’s a literal ice-breaker in this week’s events, with the lowest-paying challenge being a four-lap race at the Lake Louise Short Course. You’ll need an all-wheel drive road or tuned car from Japan for this one, and naturally equipped with snow tires, and there’s 38,000cr available for taking the win.
Historic Sports Car Masters – Grand Valley
Two races this week give 55,000cr for victory, and the first is in the Historic Sports Car Masters. There’s a lot of limits for this one, as you’ll need a road car built between 1960 and 1989, with no more than 580PP. It’s a short, five-lap blast at the reverse version of the Grand Valley South course — which in this direction somewhat highlights the differences from the old Grand Valley East course. If this race doesn’t show for you, it’s one you’ll need to unlock.
Special Event – Watkins Glen
This week’s Special Event requires the Hyundai Elantra N, making an unusual triplet of Time Trial, Daily Races, and Weekly Challenge in the same car. You can tune the car however you like, and watch out for the yellow lead car which has a fruity tune of some kind that’ll require around 600PP if you want a safe victory over the four-lap race at Watkins Glen Short.
Vision Gran Turismo Trophy – Nurburgring
Next up we have one of the new races from the 1.63 update, in the Vision Gran Turismo Trophy series — featuring the new Opel Corsa as the thumbnail car. The race, over five laps of the Nurburgring GP course, requires any VGT car at 850PP or less, and awards 100,000cr for victory. This is another of the series which you’ll need to unlock before you can access the event.
World Touring Car 800 – Autopolis
We finish on the traditional WTC event, this time in the World Touring Car 800 at Autopolis. It’s open to any car of any kind, so long as it’s fitted with a Racing Tire and doesn’t exceed 800PP, with the AI all using Gr.3 cars. High tire wear and fuel consumption rates might play a role if you go off-script with your car choice, with the ten-lap race worth 160,000cr for the win.

For this week’s bonuses we’ve got the regular variety pack of specific Ticket types and some credit rewards, all of which you’ll need to redeem from your Garage’s Gifts to claim.
Finishing any one race awards you a Six-Star (Parts) Ticket, containing any Ultimate part from the Tuning Shop for any car, while checking off any three awards a 150,000cr ticket. Finally there’s a Six-Star (Car) Ticket, which can award you any car from Brand Central valued at over 500,000cr — including Invitation-only cars.
You’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access to the Weekly Challenges. The events update at midnight local time on Friday mornings, so we’d expect the next set on the morning of Friday October 10.
