A new set of the refreshed Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges is becoming available, starting at midnight Friday morning in your local time zone, and this week’s event list brings one of the new challenges introduced in the Spec III update.
The general format of Weekly Challenges remains the same as it has been since introduced in Spec II, comprising a set of five events you’ll need to complete during a seven-day window, offering bonus rewards. However the Spec III update brought a small change, with the introduction of different “Special Event” types — so they may now be a standard race or a time trial or mission event.
This bonus game mode updates each week, usually offering a quick way to get a decent boost in your credits and check off some races you might have missed from your Event Directory — especially post-updates. However it is available only to players who’ve finished the main GT Cafe career.

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges – December Week 3 Events
European Clubman Cup 600 – Alsace
We’re starting with a regular low-paced event in the European Clubman Cup 600 at the Alsace Village circuit. You’re limited to road cars from European brands — the “600” of the name referring only to a Performance Point value for a competitive race and not a limit — which gives plenty of options for victory in this three-lap race. A meager 25,000cr awaits for victory, so don’t overthink it.
American Sunday Cup 600 – Road Atlanta
Despite a similar level of competition, the American Sunday Cup 600 offers some 40,000cr for winning the three-lap race at Road Atlanta. This time it’s road cars from an American brand you’ll need, and the same note about suggested Performance Point values as above remains true for this event too.
Special Event – Brands Hatch
The first Time Trial Special Event is an interesting one. It comprises a couple of sectors of the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit, ending just before Pilgrims Drop. You’ll be using a Mitsubishi FTO provided to you with Racing Soft tires, and you’ll need to beat 50 seconds to secure the maximum, one-time prize money of 60,000cr. Thankfully, it’s not especially tricky.
Nissan GT-R Cup – Deep Forest
You’ve got a wide range of choices for this event in the Nissan GT-R cup, essentially comprising every roadgoing Nissan Skyline GT-R and GT-R in the game — including the new GP-Tuned car from the Power Pack. Whatever your selection you’ll need to make sure it’s below 700PP for this five-lap race of Deep Forest, which offers 68,000cr for victory.
Gr.1 Prototype Series – Yas Marina
The final race this week is one with an extremely healthy 300,000cr payout, and one of the new races added in Spec III. You’ll be racing in the Gr.1 Prototype Series in a 15-lap race around Yas Marina, and it’s a bit of a complicated one. Despite the name, it’s not limited to Gr.1 cars, and you can use anything on Racing tires (of any grade) so long as it’s within a 950PP cap. Tire wear is middling, but you’ll need to keep an eye on it if you’re going for softer options.

Completing Weekly Challenges earn bonus rewards, with higher value bonuses coming as you finish more events. They’re sent as tickets, for finishing one, three, and five events, to your Garage’s Gifts section, which you’ll need to redeem to claim the prizes.
We’re back to just money this week, and you should know what to expect by now. That’s a 100,000cr ticket for completing any one event, a 200,000cr ticket for clearing any three, and a 500,000cr ticket when you finish off the whole set.
In order to have access to the Weekly Challenges you’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie. The events update at midnight local time on Friday mornings, so we’d expect the next set of the new-look events on the morning of Friday December 26.
