Three years after the Gran Turismo movie hit theaters, one of its most recognizable costumes is up for grabs: the Nissan NISMO racing suit worn by Archie Madekwe as Jann Mardenborough, complete with a belt nameplate reading “J. Mardenborough”.
The suit is one of two Gran Turismo lots in the upcoming Hollywood Memorabilia Auction from Icons of Pop Culture, a company that handles film and television asset liquidation and acquired the pieces directly from the production. The company reached out to give GTPlanet readers an exclusive first look at both lots ahead of pre-bidding, which opens this Sunday, August 30.
It’s a complete five-piece Puma set, including the white racing hood, the sponsor-covered jumpsuit, gloves, socks, and the red and white racing shoes Madekwe wore on screen. According to the auction house, this is the only complete Mardenborough costume from the film currently being offered publicly.
The second lot is the Michelin Motorsport podium cap worn by Madekwe, offered separately from the suit.
Both lots run on the iCollector platform, with pre-bidding open from August 30 through the sale on September 19. There are no reserves and no estimates: bidding on each lot opens at $15, and the highest bidder wins.
Each lot comes with a Certificate of Authenticity carrying a tamper-evident hologram and serial number.

This isn’t the first piece of the film to head across the block. The hero Nissan GT-R GT3 driven by both Madekwe and the real Mardenborough was auctioned at Silverstone shortly after the movie’s premiere in 2023, though with a price a few orders of magnitude above $15.
The suit, of course, represents the actual true story of Jann Mardenborough, a driver who went from Gran Turismo player to GT Academy winner to professional racer. Mardenborough, who spoke with us around the film’s release and served as Madekwe’s stunt driver during production, returned to racing last year with Ford in GT World Challenge Europe.
