GT Academy champion Lucas Ordoñez scored his first Super GT victory in the series’ latest round at Thailand’s Chang International Circuit last weekend. Lucas and his teammate Kazuki Hoshino held off highly experienced driver Jorg Müller in the Studie BMW Z4 GT3 car.

The EuroSport TV network has begun airing GT Academy: Masterclass to document the wild success of champions Lucas Ordoñez and Jann Mardenborough, while providing a glimpse into what the European and International competitors faced during Race Camp this year.

Beginner Level Supercar Festival

The new “Quick Match” online races which were brought to Gran Turismo 6 in update version 1.12 have been live for a few weeks now, and appear to be rotated on a weekly schedule similar to Seasonal Events, with new races becoming available late Tuesday / early Wednesday.

A minor new update has been released for Gran Turismo 6 to address numerous glitches and bugs. Weighing in at 9.5MB, it includes the following documented changes:

A new batch of events are now available in Gran Turismo 6, featuring a series of new drift and super lap challenges exclusive to the Lexus LFA, race cars, 4WD non-race cars, and non-racing Lamborghini sports cars.

The next generation of the Nissan GT-R will be heavily influenced by the design of the Nissan “CONCEPT 2020” Vision Gran Turismo car released in GT6 last July, according to a report from Motoring.com.au.

Yesterday’s release of GT6 update 1.12 brought with it some enhanced force-feedback configuration option for steering wheel controllers, allowing users to adjust the torque of the wheel. Unfortunately, Logitech wheel owners quickly noticed this had a negative impact on the G25, G27, and Driving Force Pro, with drastically reduced wheel resistance.

The latest update for Gran Turismo 6 is now available, and it is one of the biggest yet, bringing one of the longest new tracks ever to be featured in a console racing game.

2012 GT Academy U.S. champion Steven Doherty scored a first-in-class victory in the final race of the Pirelli World Challenge while behind the wheel of his #94 Skullcandy Team Nissan TC Altima.

In a brief post on the company’s PitStop blog, Polyphony Digital reports they have received a “large number of applicants from around the world” for Sound Engineering positions, and that Kazunori Yamauchi and the Sound Production team are currently reviewing all of the resumes which have been submitted. They also thanked applicants for their enthusiasm for Polyphony’s “projects ahead”.
