Thrustmaster T700 Appears on Various Online Retailers

A new Thrustmaster peripheral has started to appear on various European online retailers. Product pages for the Thrustmaster “T700” and “T700 GT Edition” have been popping up online, and the correlation of price and product names between the pages suggest this is no mistake.

Shared on the GTPlanet forums by user Simmpa, a post on the sim racing sub-reddit shows retailers from across Europe hosting new pages for the rumored T700 peripheral. There’s little-to-no information about the product but expensive pricing indicates a high performance wheel.

The price hangs around the €750-800 range, which suggests a top tier steering wheel from the American accessory manufacturer. The exception is Amazon.fr, which has the T700 listed at only €643. Wheels at this price tend to be direct drive, which certainly aligns with what we know about the unnamed official GT Sport wheel.

There’s no confirmation that wheel and the T700 are one and the same, but the listings do mention a GT edition of the wheel. It seems like a safe bet this piece of news is related to the peripheral. Thrustmaster has delivered Gran Turismo–branded variants of its flagship T500RS and T300RS wheels in the past. Could the supposed T700 be next in line?

The official news channels have been quiet on the peripheral’s specifics so far.

We’re now over a month into the Gran Turismo Sport beta and players are starting to wonder where the next GT-flavored news will come from. Thrustmaster hasn’t shared much regarding the GT wheel since it was shown off at the Copperbox a year ago.

If these listings are to be believed, perhaps an official confirmation on the wheel’s existence isn’t too far away.
