GT5 Missing from Sony’s Rumored E3 Lineup

e3-worriesA rumored list Sony’s list of games to be presented at E3 2009 has popped up, and it has a lot of people talking – not for the games that are on the list, but for the game that is not: Gran Turismo 5.  We have anxiously been waiting for what Sony has called one of their “biggest events in the past 11 years“, and many legitimiate sources have hinted that GT5 and Gran Turismo Mobile for the PSP would both be making an appearance at the show.  Of course, it makes sense, given the fact that it has been so long since we’ve heard any news about the development from Kazunori Yamauchi, and the next big game show (Tokyo Game Show) doesn’t hit until September.

Before you get too worried, though, keep in mind that this is a rumored list from a questionable source.  Even if it is the “real deal”, the author mentioned that ” there will be more [games], but they will be surprises.”  Hopefully we will get a better idea of what to expect as June draws near…  Stay tuned!

“Gran Turismo Driver”, I don’t take kindly to false information being posted here – in fact, it’s clearly outlined in our Acceptable Use Policy. If you are or have a legitimate source of “inside” information, please contact me privately so that I can verify your integrity.

Sorry to drop the bomb but Gran Turismo 5 maybe push back until the end of the year or won’t be released until next year due to the final devolvement. Mr. Kazunori Yamauchi, Polyphony and Sony want to give you the best simulator on the market. Mr. Kazunori Yamauchi has ordered the programmers and developers to remove all bug and glitches from the simulator to keep people from cheating. As you all know the players who have cheated in Drift, Time Trail their scores and video have been removed. What you didn’t know is every time you race your time and car setup is saved so we can review them. So we know what areas to fix in the simulator so no one will be able to cheat or glitch. This is a driving simulator a training tool not a cheating tool. For the people who cheat and glitch you are helping us to refine Gran Turismo and that’s why Gran Turismo 5 Prologue was released. Once the final version of Gran Turismo 5 is released the people who are breaking real world track times won’t be able to come close or even break those times due to they didn’t learn how to drive. They just learned how to cheat in another way. For the people who are coming or breaking those times with out cheating we commend you on your true driving skills. We just hope you can translate that skill on a real track. We’ve already found one driver that can hope we can find more in the future. And yes we do read this for and other portaging to Gran Turismo.

if there is no announcement on GT5 I will smash my PS3 and send the little pieces to polyphony.
and I will do it on camera.

this is pathetic at best to not even give updates to such a massive following, its shocking marketing, and im disgusted

Gees, why is this even news?
Amazes me how some jump to conclusions or panic.

Tell me something is FM3 listed as appearing at E3 either, no because its expected to make a “suprise appearance” or announcement. Thats the thing you see for maximium effect you SURPRISE PEOPLE.

Id assume whats to be the last E3 before GT5 release we would very much get an E3 appearance and details of the game.

If its not at E3 it would be the most stupid thing Sony have ever done particulary with FM3 speculation.

Well at least IGN has Rumors on Forza3!!! Which i’ll get also if GT5 hasn’t been out yet during Christmas 2009 or next year 2010 :(

  9. Zedux

if Sony doesn’t give some concrete information on GT5 current situation at E3 this won’t be good at all!

Sony must understand their days as the consoles King are over 360 install base has almost 8 million advantage of the PS3! Better give us a data at E3!!! They can’t play the powerful no more!!!

If this happens, tons of people will be very disapointed with Polyphony Digital, and we (the GT fans) don´t deserve that, because its because of us that the GT franchise is a sucess.
We deserve some news, even if it is just a minor thing.

It’s gonna be there in some form. I don’t think they’d shoot themselves in the foot not to show anything at all for such a long time.

  12. Brad

Well for one thing…it’s rumoured…Ive seen a ton of site do this same “E3 Games List” thing, reputable ones at that. Maybe it’s still too soon to say…maybe they might surprise us ..who knows.

Not showing it would be a big disappointment though.
