Lamborghini, Bugatti Coming to Gran Turismo Series

Gran Turismo 5 Gran Turismo PSP August 4th, 2009 by Jordan

It’s a great day for Gran Turismo fans around the world, as it has just been revealed that the both Lamborghini and Bugatti are bringing their cars to Gran Turismo PSP and, presumably, Gran Turismo 5! The news came as Sony announced a special pre-order promotion for GT PSP, which entitles you to some type of code that gives you access to one of the following cars from “day one” in the game:

2009 Bugatti Veyron
2002 Enzo Ferrari
2008 GTbyCitroen
2009 Nissan GTR V-Spec
1974 Lamborghini Countach LP400 (more Lamborghini’s are also coming)

Their blog post is a bit scant on the details of how this will work, but they promise to reveal more on the program soon. Nobody’s too worried about that right now though, as most of us are still picking up our jaws off the floor. Enjoy the new screenshots of the cars below!

BTW – I suspect that this means these cars are “unlocked” for Arcade mode – not GT mode!

If im not mistakin the SLR in NFS Most wanted sounded almost exactly like that. I could be wrong though, Been a while since i played that game.

This may seem like an odd question, but how come NO game to date, not even Gran turismo, has got the Mercedes Mclaren SLR’s engine noise right? If you look at GT5′s trailer it sounds nothing like it (don’t worry im not a Forza fanboy lol) im just wondering thats all.

Guess you haven’t seen the SLR Mclaren in GT4. The air break start to come up when you break, and it’s in GT5p, too, on the Audi cars. I’m sure they will apply that too in GT PSP and GT5 judging by PD attention to details it’s a very nice feature even other rival games haven’t done this.

Great news.

Now, to get closer to a perfect list of cars available in GT series, I would like to see ’73 911 RS, 550 Spyder, all the GT2′s, GT1, 959, last 2 GT3′s, Carrera GT, a 928, a 944 or 968, latest Boxster and Caymen, and call me crazy but I think the RWD 400hp Panamera and AWD 500hp Panamera would be cool to race/tune.

Then I would be overwhelmed with joy.

Ruf is cool (80′s Yellowbird is one of my fav’s) but authentic Porsche would be better.

I wonder if the spoiler on the veryon will be raisable? By that I mean when you reach above 75mph the spoiler raises.

I hope that we will see Mclaren F1 and mu favorite car Mclaren F1 LM in Gran Turismo 5!!!!! We see Mclaren F1 GTR long trial in GT4 so I pretty sure that he will be in GT5!!!!!!
