Traces of Mazda Vision Gran Turismo Car Found in GT6

Mazda may be close to unveiling their Vision Gran Turismo project in GT6, according to a mention of the car in the game itself. GTPlanet user @smasherguy1020 noticed the “Mazda LM55 Vision Gran Turismo” appeared in a list of eligible LMP-class cars in an online racing room and reported it in our forums.

2014-12-21 13.45.36Unlike some of the other manufacturers, Mazda hasn’t offered any hints on what their car might look like with sketches or drawings.

However, it’s obviously a Le Mans Prototype (LMP), and, according to early leaked reports, will recall the iconic Mazda 787B which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1991.

Of course, this isn’t an official tease of the car, so there are no detailed specifications or a suggested release date.

However, the fact that some data about the LM55 is now in the game does indicate it might arrive soon, and will certainly fuel speculation that the Christmas GT6 online service maintenance might bring more than just new Seasonal Events to GT6. Stay tuned.

Glad to see GTPlanet covering game-content besides GT Academy, even if it is an “unofficial” catch.

That… actually gives me a GT6-meme idea, lol, I make it tonight.

The good news? At least it close to being a real (LMP) world product. And perhaps it will have tuning options and a interior. The bad news? Still not La’Ferrari, no McLaren P1 and so on and so on. Come on PD, let’s get real…………….literally.

As the Person who found out about this (Which was me) i have to say thank you for putting my thread up on the news i didn’t think this would get so many view’s and like’s and comment’s. Thank you guy’s so much on the community and have a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Cheers :)

It’s not all about the interiors now son. You would know that if you tested out the Suburu VIZIV. The VIZIV was one of the good VGT cars that didn’t have a interior because of it having one of the best engine sounds in the game.

      @poke
Actually, the VIZIV DOES have an interior. It’s blacked out during racing. Take it into photomode, and boom, an interior. This also applies to the Toyota VGT.

Right. A “simulation” where you can only drive the most hyped current content while clinging on the roof, from the bumper, or flying from behind. Makes sense. Who needs a cockpit view in a sim when you have all those realistic options?…lol.

    4. Johnnypenso

All racing sims have a cockpit view, it’s all part of the definition these days of actually being a sim. They also have all other views as well, but in a sim, a detailed cockpit view in all cars is a must. Console or PC.

No I hope they do a Chapperal 2X2X with better handling, better preformance, dual lazer engines, and with 9,000,000,000,000,000 BHP! *Sarcasm*

This will be cool, but I’m just saying, Mazda as a company just needs to get more original. All they seem to do is pay tributes to the 787B that won Le Mans by making concept cars, and using the livery, and putting 55 on everything. I mean the 787B tribute idea has been done and redone by Mazda, so we’ll see how this goes but idk if I’ll be too excited because like I said, this is nothing new for Mazda.

Amen! Who cares if no other Japanese manufacturer has ever won Le Mans (to date)? Who cares if Mazda won with a rotary engine?
What’s next? How about a “boss” mustang and a “stingray” corvette? Or how about Jaguar build the e-type to original specifications again?

    2. Grandea GTR

And yet nobody said anything about the Toyota 86 not being original, being a tribute (kind of) to the AE86 and other models…
