North America’s Bonus GT5 Downloadable Content Details

Although Sony has still not explained the seemingly bizarre last-minute delay of Gran Turismo 5‘s DLC in North America, they have now detailed the “special bonus” the region will receive when the content is eventually released next week on October 25th. From the company’s latest PlayStation Store Update:

We are confirming that the Gran Turismo 5 DLC update will be available to download on 10/25. We apologize for the delay in the content however as a gift to our eager fans we are offering free bonus content. For those who purchase the “Complete Pack” by November 7, we will throw in a unique GT Academy dynamic theme as well the Honda NSX GT500 Stealth Model. Just to be clear, both the dynamic theme and the car are free with purchase of the Complete Pack. Again we are sorry for the delay and hope that fans will enjoy all of the fantastic new content to come for GT5.

The Honda NSX GT500 Stealth Model was originally only available in the European GT5 Signature Edition, or to those who pre-ordered GT5 at Wal-Mart in the United States. Thanks to irmopars for the quick tip!

The Ghost car from THE WRAITH (MOVIE) it was a prototype ahead of its time and was insanely fast there were only like 6 ever made my Grandpa had one and the Government seized it because of its suicidal speed saying it was to dangerous and unsafe for street use i think there’s only two left in existence as four i know were destroyed one was hidden for 15 years and the other i be leave stayed in a showroom museum.

my wish list for new dlc in the form of a premium car would include an Atom and the ascari. Want all these exclusive cars to become non-exclusive, be it free or for a price.

I agree with the fact they r giving away pre order specails and I hope.to god they don’t get a whim and rrlease the chromeline cars u get for C ed. I bought ed cuz of the perks and pre orderd it to get the SLS stealth at gamestop. I think if u want the chromeline cars go get the ced if u can. Pre.order perks r nice.but it looses incentive to do so wen the perks r later dished.out.like candy to winey immature children!

But u can’t plz EVERONE! I just glad to.c a developer acually care about their fans!!! (TWO WICKED AWSOME THUMS UP). but to give the exculives for sig ed preorder or c ed is.outrite dumb cuz then they get the idea of.y waste.time effort and money to buy the excusives to own right then just to givin away later. I mean think about.it! If this.keeps.going on wen Gt6 or 7 releases ur going to a market of less po and c.ed salez.cuz u dish out the perks later.

  I’m sorry to complain everyone. I’m sorry PD to go off (if your actually reading this). I truely am. I just don’t want to see such a great game and racing sim just go down in flames. GT Academy is proof that this game IS REALLY GOOD!!! Just look at the drivers playing GT. I just don’t want to see GT go down. That’s all. I know it’s better than this.

I’m really pissed of because I play the USA version of GT5 (Because it includes the Nissan GTR minuature car) on my EU Account (Because that is wher I have all my friends, I live in the EU),
But because the DLC is Account-locked the only thing I can do is buy the European version of GT5 and play the game all over again (I am now: A-spec level 38 and B-spec level 40) !!!

I think this is insane !!?!??!?!

i really dont get what the big deal is…i mean…i get it if you have more than one person that plays gt5 on the same ps3 with different accounts, but for the other guys…what is the POINT in creating 2 accounts…

  B-Spec. So you can online B-Spec from 2nd account and improve your main account drivers because the account running race only gets one entry. Lots of other reasons too.

It seems many of you appear to have missed the part where it says “November 7th”. In other words, its only on offer for a limited time thus in actuality its still retains some exclusivity. I relize some of you paid extra to have that, but lets not forgot its only one out of the many cars you paid extra for so you aren’t exactly being cheated out of anything. Seriously, the about of self entitlement in these boards and in these comments is just astounding.
