The latest Time and Drift trials have just become available in Gran Turismo 5‘s Seasonal Events, both of which feature the new Toyota 86 that was added to the game last month – for free – in update 2.02. Here’s a closer look at what’s new:

so far the V12 vantage is the most fun to drive :), i just love the sound of it and its tail happiness
Rally, rally, rally!!!! Why not a rally seasonal??!!!!!
Because this is GT, not Dirt 3.
@Witless76 You surely haven’t played Gran Turismo for long enough: GT4 did more for rally than Dirt3 ever willl.
@Ezekiel76 I wish we had Pikes Peak in GT… Sceptics would no doubt love rally and the hillclimb discipline after that!
A time trial for the Toyota 86 GT. As soon as I buy a new one and make one oil change for it, it is above the limit for the trial. WTF?
Turn the engine power down a bit then, surely.
Great TT!
Next could be Nurb with similar settings.
How I wish I owned one in real life… This car is simply gorgeous! (I hope my Fiesta’s not reading this :-p)
That picture above is amazing! What wheels were used for that GT86?
its that 5 spoke wheel near the very right of the wheels selection, might be a PDI one i dont remember, im wondering what the parameters set on the camera taking the picture was, colour looks amazing
RAYS Trinity V?
Stage route 7 in an event. Impressive.
86 drift trial is bloody awesome, even playing field allround and my first time getting to 158th with 15.2k. Im pretty happy with that
Finally! The reign of the TVR Speed 12 bourgeoisie has ended!
Rise up proletariat! Take back what is rightfully yours! The crown shall be overthrown!
No but seriously, this is pretty cool as I still haven’t seen a Speed 12 in my UCD. We should be seeing some new names in the top ranks.
Still at work so don’t know but,… I thought “yes no car choise” now it realy comes to the driver. So I hope tuning is not alowed. Anyway FINALY a TSUKUBA TT. My fav. track
Thanks Jordan for using my picture.
So excited!
A drift trial on Route 7?? Oh boy…
I used my SS Commodore, need heaps of speed so u don’t hit the wall I had to do it 5 or 6 times just to get past the first corner then the next time I made it thought all the corners and got gold.
1st and 3rd corner’s narrow as hell, and 2nd corner takes time to understand. lmao
GT-86 should be fun, although I still prefer my AE86 for drifting. That said I’ve hardly driven the GT-86 since I got it.
Hmm SSR7 drift trial not the best choice, theyre will be no using my Genki Hyper Silvia for that then…
the gt86 actually is a very underpowered car toyota says it is 200hp but recent dyno says it is around 170hp and the torque curve has an unusual torque dip. i was actually looking forward about this car in real life but those numbers are very disappointing, VERY.
Dyno numbers are calculated at the wheel. Meaning some of the power is lost due to friction from the drivetrain.
Take 170 and multiply back in an approx. 12-15% then you’ll find that it is about 200hp at crank.
No A-Spec? WTH!
LOL, yup I meant A-Spec type races.
“Toyota 86 GT Madrid City / Reverse Drift Trial”
Why the “Toyota 86 GT” part here? Copy/paste gone wrong? :P
Ignore this remark…
Sounds good – ditto on the lack of Speed 12s and Specials :D
It’ll be a good opportunity to get to know the 86 – kinda got lost in all the awesome cars and updates that were added recently!
finaly a scoreboard not filled with speed 12
This is one of the best drift events yet! Its nice to have an equal playing field! Not all of those Cerbera Speed 12″s!! :)
Finally!
Getting pretty bored now. Thought we would have something more inventive by now.
