The Tribeca Festival, one of the largest annual film and entertainment festivals in the world, has selected the Gran Turismo Sophy development series “The Team Behind GT Sophy” as a finalist for the prestigious Tribeca X award.

PlayStation’s promotional push for the upcoming Gran Turismo movie has seen the film’s stars, producers, and director attend the glitzy Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix over the weekend.

Gran Turismo 7’s new 1.34 update is now available, bringing some new cars and a surprise new feature which expands the game’s tuning options.

As most regular GTPlanet readers know, the upcoming Gran Turismo feature film will tell the true story of 2011 GT Academy champion Jann Mardenborough. Now, Sony Pictures has released a new promotional video for the film featuring Jann himself talking with actor Archie Madekwe who will play him in the movie.

Sony has announced that it is developing a new PlayStation handheld device code-named “Project Q”, which is designed to allow players to stream any game from their PS5 console using Remote Play over Wi-Fi. The device has an 8-inch HD screen and all of the buttons and features of the DualSense wireless controller and is set to launch later this year.

In addition to the new car content coming in Gran Turismo 7’s 1.34 update Polyphony Digital will unlock new tuning abilities that have previously been restricted to chance occurrences, with engine swaps and special parts becoming available to purchase directly.

A year on from its first title in the new F1 Manager series, Frontier Developments has announced a sequel coming this summer: F1 Manager 23.

The latest Forza Monthly stream has revealed the full breadth of the Series 21 update to Forza Horizon 5, which lands tomorrow ahead of the start of the series on Thursday May 25.

Racing simulator developers Straight4 Studios and Reiza Studios have issued a curious joint statement announcing a strategic partnership, which could have some interesting implications for the former’s GTR Revival title currently in development.

Snow has returned to the UK with a vengance this week to mark a new Winter season in Forza Horizon 4. Players aren’t going to be beaten by the elements easily, and will stop at nothing to complete the latest round of events in store.

It’s the last week of the current Forza Horizon 5’s Series, with Spring coming to the game and rounding out the four-week cycle of Series 20.
