Blundell on Massa's possible penalty.

"It doesn't look like nuffin will happen"

Surely the main point of a commentator should be that he can actually talk?

EDIT: A Pole for pole? :D
And when he mistook Raikonnen for Massa in the final qualifying and had to do the "Massa, can he do it, can he take pole" all over again.

Hahaha, I guess the heat is getting to him!

I can't wait till tomorrow now, the chance of BMW getting pole is really exciting!

Is it me or is Trulli doing a magnificent job once again?

I mean, we all know Ferrari, Mclaren and BMW are un-catchable, but I think Trulli did really well placing his Toyota after the big 6 👍

I'm not happy about Kimi:grumpy:. But Kubica did an stunning lap, so eat that Massa.

I have a feeling Kubica or Nick could get the maiden win here, two 2nd's in 2 races, I think that with Ferrari on 2nd race engines and mclaren seemingly off form, they can take it.

Do you believe yet?

I want too. Kubica is hungry for success, especially after losing 6 kilo's for this season to aid in ballast placement. Nice to see Button & Alonso congratulating him, he certainly deserves respect.👍

I dunno, I'm far more impressed with that Honda on P9.

Looks to me like Alonso and Button are going heavy on the fuel-loads - and Alonso's mistake in the first sector on the final hotlap screwed it for him.

Gonna be a strange race with this result, very good to see kubica on pole :) but kimi and heidfeld were dissapointing, hopefully it has something to do with fuel loads but im not so sure it is like that :(

That was James Allen, not Blundell.

Care to elaborate?

I don't think he's got the fuel of the cars immediately around him. He's been quick, but not Ferrari quick.

That doesn't mean I don't want him to win - I'd love to see a BMW, preferably Kubica, win the race. I just don't think they've got the overall pace of the Ferraris.

Care to elaborate?

I shall.

Both Ferrari & Mclaren have a better race pace. I can't see Kubica with a heavier car than Massa or Hamilton. Just as Roo has already said, I'd love it but can't see it.

But then again, everyone thought he was oh-so-light at Melbourne, and he came in only a lap before Hamilton. Same went for Massa at Sepang, when he stopped just a lap before Raikkonen...

I see your point, but I still think the better race pace isn't with Kubica. He could be down to 3rd by the first corner no matter how light he is.

Do you believe yet?

I believe you. That was one amazing lap by Kubica. I think BMW will not make the same strategic mistake. But yeah, if only McLaren and Ferrari happened to make a mistake....

AWESOME AWESOME for Kubica in the BMW, so good to see a non FERRARI/Mclaren at the front.

It's really heating up to be a great race.

I saw JV in ferrari garage during qlf
what the *****? :S

1. His Gilles drove for them.
2. He still has friends in F1. ITV said he was there because of something to do with Massa as they were team mates a few years back. Maybe he was just walking around.

ahah anyway seeing him at ferrari garage was very ironic :)
maybe he was there because he was having a concert :D

Missed the races on EuroSport :(

thanks metar for the info 👍

Just watched quali.

Kubica pole!! i am so happy for him and BMW! On their way to their first win, possibly here!

Good job for Kubica!

It's too bad Kovalainen couldn't qualify better.

I was too surprised to see a new face on the top of the leaderboards!! :dopey:
But I guess he's feather weight on fuel... BMW's always are the first ones to pit-stop. But I'd like to see him on the final podium again!

And hopefully Massa will do better this time.. he had won in Bahrein before, it's just a matter of self-control now...

Metar, your better than ITV 👍
I really loathe sticking up for them, but Louise interviewed Jaques and he told us why he was there. They also said in the commentary why he was in the Ferrari garage.

I didn't hear, I was switching between F1 and FA cup. (Post 55#)
