I really loathe sticking up for them, but Louise interviewed Jaques and he told us why he was there. They also said in the commentary why he was in the Ferrari garage.

I know he is in some support race there and I saw a shot of JV in the Ferrari pit, so why was he in the Ferrari pits?

1. His Gilles drove for them.
2. He still has friends in F1. ITV said he was there because of something to do with Massa as they were team mates a few years back. Maybe he was just walking around.

But still, can't find that article that daan said about.....

i think Robert Kubica or Kimi Raikonen will get 1st. i'd like to see a BMW win it

wow he has a FRIEND in F1 :P

lol, yeah. We need that confirmed from Massa first!

Race about to start, I must be crazy to watch it live.....anyone out there??

Live timing, friggin' university TV package.

Oh, and bed comes AFTER the race for me.

Edit: Oh yeah, great start for Ferrari, terrible start for McLaren, and BMW takes advantage of it.

Did hamilton have a run on Alonso or did Alonso lift off? If he did then i'll be livid.

I'd so laugh if Alonso gets pulled up for causing that accident on purpose. Brake testing anyone?

TV said Alonso is heavy. I don't think he brake check lewham

More importantly, will Massa spin!?!?

Spin/Spin/Spin = jackpot!!!! ding ding ding dning dingggg!

I like how ITV dont even consider Hamilton MIGHT have made the mistake.

Good form from the Empire so far. ;)

Running 17th-20th.

Looks like Jenson is going to get the **** kicked out of him now.

Kimi lighter than Massa!

Indeed.

From what I saw even if Alonso slowed down Hamilton had time to move out of the way. I saw him slowing down at least a second before he hit.

The TV is now being used for GTA, so I'm relying on you guys for updates!

wahahahahah.

Someone NEEDS to make a T-Shirt with DC saying that on it.

BMW FTW.

Nakajima is apathic when the blue flag rises.

Amazing! Massa might actually finish a race. :dopey:

Fingers crossed for Kubica podium.

formula boring :(

congrats to tifosis
and congrats to alonso. he finished where he started. a real performance lol :D

Lewis noooooo:(. And it had to be Alonso again:grumpy:

And i agree with Daan, Kimi lighter than Massa:eek:

I see Jenson did well again then..

Might as well have a look at Alonso, if he did lift/tap the brakes in a corner where all cars should be on the throttle then it was effectively causing an unavoidable accident. That said Hamilton probably could've done with being a little further away, but at the same time heavy or not, I didn't recall seeing any other cars catch up so quickly to the back of Alonso like that on the first few laps...

Either way, at least Massa has relieved some of the pressure on himself and good to see the Beamers actually beating one of the top two on two consecutive races, rather than a one off.

Dudes... Hamilton had like a whole second to dodge Alonso. That was quite a NOOB error from him.

Yeah, Massinha! Nice drive from the man. Also, also a bonus when Massa does well is an appearance by Rafaela.

What is the deal with Kubica, always struggles in the first stint. Same thing happened in Australia where Hamilton was dropping him like a duck. Seems he needs a few warm up laps to get going.

This is just as expected. An all Ferrari dominating weekend. :grumpy: But BMW did surprise everyone, especially outpacing the McLarens! Even though Kubica didn't exactly get that win, but achieving 2 podiums in a row (and 3 for BMW) is a great achievement in itself. 👍 The battles pretty boring, only 1 or 2 that really stands out. 3 retirements doesn't really say a lot about an atrocious race. :indiff: But this statement really says it all about the race.

formula boring :(

I feel asleep when the race has 20 laps to go and woke up when the race was 5 laps to the finish. 👎 But again, is it me or whenever Ferrari dominates the weekend, the race is pretty dull...... I practically just stupefied by this. :dunce:

Not so easy to dodge when someone's arsing about in the middle of the track these days. Bet if it was vice versa it'd all be Hamilton's fault.

I doubt so, if Alonso was the one hitting Hamilton like that, I'd just facepalm in shame.

The 'accident' happened right after leaving a fast chicane. Alonso was way heavier in a slower car, so Hamilton was significantly faster than him during those two turns, so... Here's the video.

It's pretty clear, IMHO.

One day, I'm going to put darkfinal and <_Spike_> into a room, lock it, and let you both just fight it out.

I know! They were basically assuming Alonso did it without any proof!

Personally looking at the vid it looks like Hamilton was just a bit too eager to get past him due to his bad start and all and over cooked it... I think Alonso will hang that rear wing on his bedroom wall now!

Also what was wrong with James and Martins commentary this weekend? have they been smoking pot or something! James was going on about the hole in Alonso's rear wing looking like a shark bite and Hamilton is afraid of sharks.. WTF!!

They really need to shut up about him, its getting annoying, yes I know he's the best hope for the UK since sliced bread but stop going on about him for god's sake... I think they said his name at least 100 times throughout the race and this is the very reason why I stopped watching F1 when Shumacer started winning every year, it was all about him and no one else!

Plus James and Martin kept manging their words, making mistakes and talking in a really sloppy fashion... really very odd. Maybe they know their luck is up with the ITV rights so they arnt bothering anymore...

Was an OK'ish race, slightly sad to see Kubica loose P1 in like 2 seconds! I liked seeing Bahrain and its definitely one of the better circuits.. Tamara Ecclestone looking hot! :sly:
