I wonder how long until her sponsors get tired of this BS and leave? Yeah Go Daddy has been around for 10 some years with her but that doesn't mean much anyway- it isn't like Jeff Gordon was running so bad in 1994 that you were hearing whispers that Dupont was leaving
GoDaddy dropped James Hinchcliffe, a guy who is extremely marketable and actually won multiple races last season in favor of continuing the sponsorship of Danica.

I think it's safe to say they don't care how good/poorly she does on track as long as she's a woman.

FTFY, Though I should note I only ever thought she looked somewhat good in the commercials outside of those I think she's a bit mannish

They needed something. One driver in the top-20 in points is pretty poor for that driver lineup, and Danica isn't the lowest in points for that team.

True but that doesn't make her their ray of hope either based on the past two weeks, and though she may not be the lowest her standing isn't anything to write home about. Also it's not like she's beating Busch hand over fist in the points, she's only 2 ahead. I get that you don't like some of the users calling her out in what at times seems to be sexism in the last place that needs it (a nascar discussion) but she needs to foster results in order not to be made fun of. And that goes for any driver in my experience that gets tons of exposure but nothing to really show why they deserve it.

EDIT: Almost forgot, even though she isn't lowest she might as well be considering Kurt has a win to his name.

Sexism? If anything, I can see GoDaddy being one heck of a sexist sponsor right now.

Also, despite Patrick being above Busch in the standings, we should remember Busch has been having some terrible luck this year, and the quality of his results on a good day greatly exceeds Patrick's (is that a 3rd and a win I see in the tables?).

How hilarious would it be if Kurt Busch won this weekend in the Indy 500, and Danica won the Coke 600? Maybe Montoya could finish it off with a Brickyard 400 victory this summer. Josh Wise could win "Most Popular Driver" over Dale Jr, while Dale Jr wins the Cup over JJ, Kenseth, and Gordon in the final race at Homestead.

I'm not saying that I agree you all are sexist, since I obviously said it has more to do with popularity that has no real reason of being given. Also the rest seems more directed @GTPorsche than me

Also I found this

So they tested and found something... How does that make it groundbreaking?

Also, glad to see Scott Riggs' name show up again. I always liked him

It's ground breaking because obviously it's something they never tried or thought of prior to this test and it yielded results beyond their pre-test comprehension.

But the point I'm trying to get at is that if it had been the (insert any other major NASCAR team) that did that, it wouldn't have been a story at all other than maybe a mention during the actual race broadcast. It's a non-story being made into a big deal because it's Danica.

The problem is it's worthy because a driver that did horrid before and seems to have another up coming weekend turn into a potential good result, is an interesting story on the premier league. Not really to me but others. Also we have no idea what they did and thus it could be quite innovative since mechanical changes as well as general setup changes were made by race engineers on the team. I bet if it were one of the other top names as well who has just run a long drought of bad races and finally started to get it together they'd get a story too.

But probably not on ESPNW. ;)

 funny that you say that, because this is the first time hearing about the women website for ESPN, so obviously you're right that makes all the more sense why it is a story. But I don't think CN realized it either. I'm sure he'll claim he did now after the fact.

Kasey Kahne has had a horrid year by Hendrick standards and qualified 3rd for the race coming off of a season best at Kansas. Where's his breakthrough?

Well he doesn't have woman parts that's what the W in ESPN stands for. Also I'm sure if there was some ground braking performance gain they found, they'd probably get an interview as well but maybe they're just having a good weekend and it doesn't warrant a news group asking.

Oh 🤬 didn't see the W  Carry on :dopey:

Wait, ESPN has section specifically for Women?

Hey guys, how come did Phil Parsons racing run a ford at 'dega but a chevy every where else?

That's what I want to know, because the ford package doesn't seem like it's better more so at the plate tracks. But from what I've found they plan to do that at the next two plate tracks as well. I'd really like to know myself.

I thought that was interesting too. Maybe they bought a car from another team, or they get equipment from either hendrick or Childress (for some reason, I'm leaning towards Childress since all the satellite teams they have are one car teams).

My guess is that they run the Ford at the plate tracks because they don't care if it ends up in the junkyard after the race

Knowing Roush, this probably means that Carl Edwards is leaving at the end of the year. Ricky Stenhouse and Trevor Bayne are great prospects, but I would rather have Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards.

Yeah I agree, neither of those two can fill the shoes of the others at this point. What the main issue still seems to be is Roush themselves and their cars not nearly being as competitive as they were, and what hurts more is that Penske a new Ford team is doing massively better. If I was Carl I'd be asking for a third car there.
