20 to go as I write this, and I have to say that this the best NASCAR race that I've watched in a very long time.

Dang. Watching Kyle Larson race is like when my brother and I play rallycross in Dirt 3. BOOM hit this wall, BOOM hit that wall. Ad infinitum. good stuff

Truck Series, for years now, has had the best racing in NASCAR.
That's one of the reasons why we dumped our Sprint Cup tickets and replaced them with truck tickets. Kyle might be able to steal this one!

EDIT: Right as I posted that, Kyle did his truck in. Still got to tip my cap to him because he gave it his awe to try to win that that wounded truck.

That Guts and Glory award should go to Larson for literally beating the piss out of his truck. but then again, 1outta 2 aint bad

Larson looked like 10 year old me playing NASCAR Thunder 2004 for the first time.
Did you disable Auto Brake when you were 10 , that was actually the 1st video game I ever played, when I was 6 on Christmas day 2003

How does wheeling the hell out of a battered truck and almost sneaking a win with it constitute as stupid driving?

Got to hand it to my man Darrell "Bubba" Wallace Jr. on the win in the 2014 Mudsummer Classic. All Bubba Wallace had to do was keep the truck in one piece as Kyle Larson was pushing, and he did just that. I'm a fan of Bubba Wallace. I'd love to see what he can do if and when he steps up to Nationwide and (especially/eventually) Cup. I'm proud for Darrell Wallace Jr. and what he's accomplished last year and so far this year.

As for putting Nationwide and Cup on dirt, I second Blitz24. While I'm not a fanatic of this style of racing, I do think this would provide diversity and fun for the other two top Touring Series. Why not put Nationwide and Cup on Eldora... or maybe even Knoxville? Maybe it's just me, but I wonder why NASCAR doesn't make the Mudsummer Classic as three equal 50-lap segments rather than this 60-50-40 alignment.

I saw most of this year's Mudsummer Classic and liked it. VERY cool concept.

Ironically enough, as a GTP member, I must admit that the first game I ever played was the original Gran Turismo. On the topic of NASCAR- "Bubba"'s victory is the 12th consecutive win for Toyota in the truck series, and Ryan Blaney has taken the points lead in the series with a four point lead over Matt Crafton.

So I saw a reair of the race yesterday and as I predicted, it was action packed. I however wasn't betting on Toyota keeping its streak alive at Eldora and holy crap, I was terribly wrong. What a improvement for Darrell Wallace Jr, he goes from barely staying in the top 10 year last to leading and even making that winning pass for the lead on the restart. Happy for him to get another win and at another big event 👍 I was for sure Larson was going to pounce even with a vehicle that he stepped a country mile beyond the limit with, but that one hit finally did him in on the last lap. If people weren't already convinced how amazing he was, that drive right sealed the deal.

Also found out that was the final truck broadcast with Rick Allen in the Booth. I was shocked to find that out but looking at the way he's been going back and fourth to NBC for NASCAR America, I guess it had to happen eventually but what a race for him to go out on.

And finally, IMS has a new scoring pylon:
