No, why. Just don't bring these up here. They're a desperate attempt to be funny and makes the NR community look like drooling 10 year olds laughing at "LOL FUNNY MEMZZZ :P XD" all day.
O.o I get a kick out of some of the bits...

Don't know the validity of this but supposedly, Carl Edwards will be announced tomorrow at JGR with a new sponsor to NASCAR, Arris (Communications technology company specializing in the design and engineering of broadband networks), to adorn his No. 19 Toyota for roughly half the season

Arris' involvement in NASCAR will go far behind just sponsorship of Edwards apparently.

I'm pretty sure JGR is confirmed if so, then I can say I told you so to the thread (like you like to do) since I claimed that as a viable option a few months ago. Also I think people would receive you better if you linked where you get your info from, I'm glad you are taking this approach to avoid another argument however. 👍

Source please?
EDIT: According to another forum the source on that is Jim Utter

Hadn't heard anything about car number or sponsor, but it's confirmed that the JGR announcement planned for tomorrow is Carl Edwards.
source?
Do you think Arris sponsoring all 4 series is the "unprecedented announcement"?

read it on NTG forum so I wasn't so sure about linking to it lol

@samurai8juice #19 apparently, see my post just above.
18,19 & 20... I don't think this bodes well for James (Denny Hamlin) past 2015!

@Jahgee1124
the "official" number should be slanted to the other side.
Gonna work on a nice paint scheme in NTG...

I don't see why Gibbs would drop him considering he has been the most consistent Gibbs driver since Tony left and FedEx seems to like him.

@Justin
you know how it is, there's always the "4th driver" aspect, Kahne at HMS, Danica at SHR. Perhaps Hamlin knows this and would look to another ride, with FedEx following him.

@Jahgee1124
I meant that the right side doors shows the number slanted to the wrong (for lack of better word) side compared to the "official" one, the common one you see on the front of the car, the rear panel, the left side door, the hood, nascar.com, etc...

18-martinsville.jpg reversed

14-600-18.jpg"normal" numbering

As an Arris modem user, Carl Edwards fan, and a fan of Gibbs because of his NFL past, I approve of this! :)

If True

Edwards to JGR, new GT6 update, new GTA update, Bristol Wednesday, Friday AND Saturday night, Milka Duno in Nationwide*, home alone... nice week!

*kidding! hopefully she doesn't make the race, there are 44 entries and she must qualify in Top 36, I duno about that :sly:

I'm looking on twitter and only mentions of 19, Arris and Carl Edwards are coming from Jim Utter... :indiff:

Edwards to Ganassi to replace Jamie Mac you heard it here first :P

JGR could use #81 or #02 for Edwards. #81 was used for Sadler's attempted cup events and #02 was used when Gilliland was at JGR (and I think for Logano too).

Ratings for Michigan were up, which I think was a first for this season.
Two weeks in a row, break out the champagne!

Considering the overall performance of NASCAR this season, the relatively strong performance for Watkins Glen would seem to be an anomaly. Entering Sunday’s race, only one NASCAR race all season had an increase in ratings and three had an increase in viewership.

http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/201...-gets-rare-increase-under-ugly-circumstances/

I don't know which other race went up in ratings this season, but Watkins Glen was only the second of the year, and Michigan was the third.

You would think the fact that both Sprint Cup road course races had increased viewership and the growing popularity of the truck and Cup Jr. road course races would get them to add some more to the Cup schedule...

Going to JGR seems like a lateral move. I guess Edwards wanted/needed a change, but JGR isn't really doing much better than RFR this year.

JGR cars are at least all in a position to make the chase, RFR excluding Edwards won't make the chase this year

I'm sure ARRIS has a bunch of money, being an IT company. Much like Jeff's paint sponsor, it's an unknown to the majority of the public, especially NASCAR fans. Too bad Subway didn't come with Carl. Carl is good at marketing. I'm not expecting ARRIS commercials to be common like Subway during Spongebob.

Carl Edwards saw what Matt Kenseth did last year, winning 7 races in his first season with a new team, after barely winning 2-3 races per year at RFR. You can't tell me that didn't open his eyes and make him think, "Why didn't I go there three years ago when everyone in the world thought I was!?"
