The fact that you trash NASCAR in a harmless NASCAR discussion thread, and one of the most historic tracks in racing.

If you want to debate NASCAR, make a new thread. Please, leave us to our discussions, if you want to join, fine, just don't trash the sport.
Except, I didn't trash NASCAR. I trashed a track which I've always found "boring" and overrated.

If you take NASCAR out of the equation, and read what I'm actually saying (read: I don't like tracks that don't have elevation change,) you'll understand that my opinion is valid.

Stop defending NASCAR from an attack that it's not under. That's like defending New York from a nuclear bomb while someone's transporting uranium to a nuclear generator in Japan. I'm not attacking NASCAR. I know better than to attack NASCAR in a NASCAR thread - too many fanboys. But, I'm entitled to the opinion of saying that I would not enjoy racing at Daytona, and never will.

An utterly legal Fox channel. Ahem.
 Ok. Just wondering. :)

Just stop. Now. Leave.

Or get banned. I really don't care...

Don't bother trying to make sense of Andrew. There's 2 ways to make him go away:

1. Let him have the last word so he thinks he's won and ignore him.
2. Keep arguing with him and eventually he'll have a hissy fit and leave.

Personally, I'm happy to leave him on my Ignore List, even if it means some of these posts become senseless.

I don't. It's too much paperwork for me.

@ITCC_Andrew - If I have no interest in a subject, let say, for example... rally or a particular course that rally uses, I simply don't go into a thread centered on that subject. It would be in your best interest to do the same. I'd hate to ruin a perfectly good Sunday with paperwork.

Understood.

Enjoy the race.

Tracks gonna be grippier and faster as well. 👍
Cooler air means more power. Expect a few engines to blow up, as they were all tuned to run during daylight hours. The long cooldown isn't going to help delicate engine parts survive, either.

But cooler air means less overheating, wouldn't that mean longer engine life?
Maybe not.

I don't know why I keep hearing that this is "the longest rain delay in Daytona 500 history." I'm pretty sure the 2012 Fireball 500 was held on a Monday night because of rain.
