1993 throwback.
I should have elaborated... complete with police-lineup-worthy mustache and mullet.

I'd say Gordon, had a good balance of that greasy look and just the right amount of party in the back.

Looks just like the gen-6?

Basically.

They should have stuck with the "late model" look of the K&N cars.

I agree, just loved those cars. Now ARCA is the only series left with those and I'm praying they don't go to a new car.

Ahh, probation, not suspension...

Still, what the heck is the difference between the two? Did it do anything to him?

Probation is just basically an order to stay away from the individuals you tangled with. Suspension means not allowed at the track. Think of when Chad Knaus got suspended.

Oh... Well that's quite pointless then.

Where did this silly mustache thing come from? Have we already run out of topics for the season?

He was responding to my post regarding to the difference between probation and suspension.

I'm glad someone else has some logic to what's been going on. People want to blame Joey, Kyle, Brad, Kevin mainly the first 3 for winning so much BUT Roush was just as bad or even worse back in the 90's. The biggest difference between today and then was anyone could almost build a car to go race in Grand National, you might not be fast but you weren't riding around either. Roush always had the top car with Mark in it, then you can add Dale Earnhardt, Mikey, and a handful of others on a weekly basis for most larger teams like RCR. It's all a wash unless someone does step in a ban them, which I think has pros and cons, I'm not against it either way.
I'll just bring this one up and add my viewpoint. As someone who's seen dozens of 90's Busch races, I don't think they can be compared with the post-2005 whooping. Yes, Roush had pretty dominant equipment back at the day, and in the mix were also drivers like the Labonte's and Jarrett, but at least those days the majority of the races were still won by Busch drivers every year. After 2005, all hell broke loose in a manner never seen before, and despite there being some (false) hope after Cup drivers were excluded from scoring points after 2010, things still haven't calmed down sufficiently.

Why is that such a big deal? No one really goes to the Nationwide/Xfinity/Busch series races whether Kyle, Kevin, and Joey are racing or not

Mark Martin raced the Busch Series for many years with a full time Cup ride like Kyle Busch still does. Nobody cares. Jr enters some Nationwide races every now and then. Nobody cares. They just wanted him to win. Not that 54 car though.

And again, how many actually good drivers have actually come along as of late? If anything, Nationwide is more becoming the Truck series in that its more the series of former cup drivers/drivers that didn't go to cup and less rookies looking to move up.

Quite a few, how many get an opportunity with a top-tier team is quite a different story. I don't think you can really blame this on NASCAR either, all you really need to do is look at the ages of the drivers for the top teams.

Hendrick:
Kasey Kahne - 34
Jeff Gordon - 43
Jimmie Johnson - 39
Dale Earnhardt Jr. - 40

Roush:
Greg Biffle - 44
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. - 27
Trevor Bayne - 23

Gibbs:
Carl Edwards - 35
Denny Hamlin - 33
Kyle Busch - 29
Matt Kenseth - 42

Penske:
Brad Keselowski - 30
Joey Logano - 24

Stewart-Haas:
Kevin Harvick - 38
Danica Patrick - 32
Tony Stewart - 43
Kurt Busch - 36

RCR:
Austin Dillon - 24
Ryan Newman - 36
Paul Menard - 34

A majority of those driver still have another 6-7 years before they even consider retiring, which leaves very little in the way of open seats for young talent unless one of the 2-3 car teams can get the funding to expand or a smaller team picks them up.

Did they, seems like it was pretty close to how it is now...just different Cup guys winning. It wasn't between 2 teams usually.

Let's wait and see first. I know Kurt is Mr. Rageaholic but for all we know he may of been acting in self defense. Don't forget how the internet crucified Stewart before all the details came out.
This. We can't really say anything until we know the facts. I'm waiting for the evidence to come out before I form an opinion on the matter.

The fact that the incident was reported to be the same weekend of the Dover Chase race - where Busch got eliminated - leads me to believe that this is indeed true. Although, it is strange how the incident was not revealed until today.

With literally no information released to the public right now, we can do one of two things. We can either crucify him now without knowing anything, or we could wait for the police to give us the information on the events that unfolded. These charges, if confirmed, could potentially end his career. Look at NFL as a reference, of these three (Ray Rice, Greg Hardy, and Adrian Peterson), Ray Rice may never get another job in the NFL, Greg Hardy may never play again either, and even AP might not play, but since he literally is the Vikings' offense, he might return to the field. Now is not the time to make judgments on the matter. We have to wait until the evidence is released to the public.
