Never been to a NASCAR race, but saw Ken Schrader, Sterling Marlin, Kasey Kahne, and Matt Kenseth in a race at a paved oval. Saw Kahne, Tony Stewart, Kyle Larson, and Dave Blaney at a race or more at my local dirt oval. If I ever get a chance to go to a NASCAR race, well... I'm goin'!

Been to Watkins Glen, while it was fun I'd recommend going to an Oval first. With Road Courses, you only get 10 seconds of action every 1.5 minutes during the race.

The race I went to was Richmond in September of 2000. Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt battled it out for most of the race and Jeff came away with the win. Had good seats as well since I could see the entire track, minus the pitlane as I was about halfway up in turn 3.

So much for pushing the start of the race up, since now it's scheduled to start 30 minutes after it's originally planned start time.

I've been to Daytona, Dover, Martinsville, New Hampshire and Watkins Glen before. I went to Daytona when I. Was 8 and we had seats on the superstretch. Every time the cars came around, everyone stood up and I could barely see. Haven't been to a race in a while, would like to go again sometime soon. At Dover we camp out in the mall paring lot, which is not your traditional camping spot for a race. At Martinsville, we got parked up on the hill, and got stuck after it had rained. We luckily got pulled out though

Alright, finally saw an ED commercial, the season may now commence without feeling as though something is missing.

Remember if your erection lasts for longer than 4 hours talk to your doctor. That could be an awkward phone call...

Here's his "Smokin' Hot" wife Lisa and the little E's

I would just have him do the pre-race prayers all season long. That was the most fun one I ever heard before a race and might be the only one we'll ever hear for a long time.

Well, with the track looking as slick as it is, I'm not sure how this race is going to go. I predict some multiple multiple car truck crashes

I've gone from not knowing who Ben Kennedy was to being sick of hearing his name in the span of 45 minutes.:yuck:

What would you define as "action?" Races aren't just passing. It isn't that either cars are passing or nothing is going on. Even simply increasing or decreasing the gap between you and a competitor is an accomplishment for one or the other.

A friend was doing multiplayer races with me in FM5 and he had trouble making the pass because it's a road course and requires effort and skill. Another friend famously ridiculed that as "follow the leader" or something like that, criticizing drivers for staying behind rather than passing. In reality, passing is a feat requiring time, effort, and skill... on a road course. Had it been an oval, he need only pull along beside me.

I think his point is more along the lines of only being able to see a small section of the track at a road course, where you can usually see most of an oval.

Well at road courses, you can't see the full track from where you are standing. That means for about 10 seconds, the field passes and you see the cars pass and all that. Then they are gone, and you wait again for them to come around

Tree'd

It really depends what track you go to, on my local road course (we don't have ovals) you can see all of the minute lap.

I mean seeing the cars in general, unless you sit close to a Jumbotron, you will only see the cars for a little bit.

Reach up, pull those belts tight for the first time in 2014, boogity, boogity, boogity, let's go racing boys!

As per the course whenever a driver bearing the last name or relation to a significant NASCAR figure comes along. Expect to have your sanity tested come sunday.
