NASCAR demonstrating just how nice it is to see a race with minimal ad breaks.

Also Paul Tracy was enjoying the race until he realised it was last year's...

Edit: Err, yeah. What GOTMAXPOWER said.

To keep everyone entertained Robby Gordon is retweeting everybody who is confusing the race being shown on TV with the 2014 Daytona 500, apparently Danica is surprising a few people!

Included in the list of confused spectators is Paul Tracy https://twitter.com/paultracy3

Molly McGrath's giving tight-faced reminders every ten minutes :)

Restart at 4:40 EST is 9:40 GMT, isn't it?

The restart is probably not in 10 minutes. There's still a line of storms moving by.

She said they would resume coverage. There is no way the track will be dry in such a short time.

There will be COVERAGE in 10 minutes. The race will NOT restart for at least a few hours.

I still want to know what would happen if it started raining while the field was going 200 mph.
Caution would be thrown, but if it's not done in time... This:

This race was crazy, what I can't believe is NASCAR didn't notice the rain, lol.

Watching the 2013 coverage on FOX and a commentator mentioned the "6th generation Ford Fusion." I assume that refers to the 6th major change in NASCAR? Only aware of three major variations of the production car.

Yes. The cars we use now are NASCARs sixth generation. The cars are referred to as "The Gen-6 Cars"

Thank you kindly. Had the term been applied to anything in addition to the Fusion I probably would have come to that conclusion on my own.

The problem is that you just skimmed my post, I pointed out that re-engineering would be required.

I went on to say that actually implementing rain racing wouldn't realistically be feasible. It wouldn't however be impossible.

@GOTMAXPOWER

Is the restart 10pm GMT?

No, I saw it after I had posted my original retort, kinda hard to see new post when you're writing one yourself. Anyways the fact remains that if you have the solution I'm sure many would love to hear it but it isn't that simple. And it actually is at this point impossible considering that the tracks make their own streams.

@LMSCorvetteGT2 ; you say "First off these drivers do have the talent, I'm guessing your knowledge on said drivers is quite limited cause if you were aware of other racing endeavors they've done or accomplished you'd know better. You don't."

You're sure they ALL do? I'd disagree, but I wouldn't presume to tell you what you do or don't know to be your own opinion.

I know the form and endeavours of the bulk of the field and stand by my opinion that some of them are really not good racers, just good lappers. Sorry!

I never said they all do also what I said was this "Same could be said for many F1, WEC, WTCC, and Rally drivers that have average skill behind a wheel what's your point beside wanting to cast light on the obvious?"

You seem to be putting more weight in series outside of NASCAR, most of the drivers in NASCAR have talent they'd need to to run in 43 car pack at 200mph or more for multiple laps going three wide. Also it isn't opinion should I list off the drivers that have raced in other series multiple times or won in other series that are current drivers? It seems that turning left isn't all they understand but you think this is opinion so...

You don't know the bulk of the field and just like any series there are always a group of professional racers that aren't good. You putting this model (alone) on NASCAR Cup series is asinine.

Please tell me this viagra advert
Man I just read all the #AirTitan jokes from SHR, and apperently, the Air Titan is the new Chuck Norris.

Also,

"Hi I'm Jimmie Johnson"
"Boom, confetti"

Better than the Viagra advert that's been on.

Honestly, if I had an erection for more than four hours I wouldn't be taking time out to visit the doctor.
