Last 32 draw

Valencia v Rapid Vienna
Fiorentina v Tottenham
Dortmund v Porto
Fenerbahce v Lokomotiv Moscow
Anderlecht v Olympiakos
Midtjylland v Man United
Augsburg v Liverpool
Sparta Prague v Krasnodar
Galatasaray v Lazio
Sion v Braga
Shakhtar Donetsk v Schalke
Marseille v Athletic Bilbao
Sevilla v Molde
Sporting Lisbon v Bayer Leverkusen
Villarreal v Napoli
Saint-Etienne v Basel

Some really good ties there, I think the three English teams do have a pretty favourable draw

Sky sports were so heavily focusing on the English teams as usual they didn't really mention the face that we had Dortmund and Porto slugging it out so early on.

Ah, the Lotus Europa League. The abortive afterthought which only becomes relevant if you win it. The League Cup of the rest of Europe.

If an English team does well: "We are a proven competitor in European football"
If an English team does badly: "Pfft, who cares about the Europa League anyway? League is the priority"

Although if the stars align and the dates work out fine, I might go to Vienna and watch Rapid vs Valencia. Maybe.

Villareal vs Napoli
St. Etienne vs Basel
Borussia Dortmund vs Porto
Anderlecht vs Olympiakos

There's some interesting ties there.

Dmitri Tarasov showing his 'Putin, the most civilised President' tshirt after losing with Lokomotiv against Fenerbahce.

He can expect sanctions against him, as political and religious gestures aren't allowed on the pitch. But praying to whatever god you're into never gets penalised.

The Lokomotiv bus had also been bottled. Tarasov a fool to understand this would add even more fuel to the tension of the political charged game.

No Rooney for United, not clear why yet but he hasn't travelled, there will be a protest from the 800 United away fans tomorrow because of the £77 they had to pay for their tickets, it was the Danish club who sets the prices, it is ridiculous...

No Hugo Lloris for Spurs, he is out with a shoulder injury.

LVG just said he didn't know how long but it could be two months :indiff::indiff::indiff:

United team, De Gea Love Smalling McNair Blind Herrera Carrick Lingard Mata Memphis Martial, not a bad team despite all the injuries....

That's why we need to win, because of people taking the mick, forget everything else that's gone on lately, we need to get the job done over the next three games!

Want to know what's wrong with Manchester United?

Just look at how Depay celebrated his goal. He acts as if he is already a great player.
van Gaal is being let down by a bunch of players who think way too high of themselves.

What a bunch of uninspired asshats. They're playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. It should be 90 minutes of working and fighting for the ball. Like Midtjylland is doing.

It says something when your goalie is the best player on the pitch. And he seriously saved Man U from a further ass kicking.

Well...

... at least this means they can concentrate on the league...

We actually lost to a team that was formed after I was born. Credit to Midtjylland, they wanted it more than us and were actually the better team bar about the first 15 minutes of the second half. What a shocking performance from supposedly some of the best players in the Premier League. I don't even think you can put 100% of the blame on LVG either. There was only 1 United player on that pitch that was consistently good throughout the whole match and that was Romero which is embarrassing considering he isn't even our first choice GK.

Smalling? Martial?
Smallings maybe top 5 in terms of Centre Backs.

United are a bunch of average players that are expected to do well just because millions has been spent on them, the saving grace of what they have now is potential in the like of Martial and Memphis(even if he has been underwhelming) but I frankly see no reason for them to be considered at the sharp end of the premier league.

Realistically, if a PL best squad was to be formed, there wouldn't be a United player in there.

Basically, they're Liverpool circa. 2009/10. They need to rebuild for the third consecutive summer and could well struggle to get anybody of high quality and in their prime.

Wait and see what Mourinho does when he takes over but I've a feeling it would be another year of transition (like Chelsea 2013-14) next season before United can be near the top.

Or they could slide. Like Liverpool.

Smalling? Martial?
Smalling is no longer as one of the best in the Premier League and he is sometimes solely to blame for most of the goals, and he would fall outside of even the top 10 as compared to; Koscielny, Alderweireid, Otamendi, Zouma, Vertonghan, Sakho, Shawcross, Cahill, Stones etc.

For Martial he is potential to be the best but for currently that isn't the case.
