Honestly kinda suprised a thread hasn't been made, given that the St. Pete weekend is underway at the time of posting.

Dennis Hauger has been rapid in this qualifying session. Pretty impressive to see a Rookie get into the Fast 6.

Edit: Homie qualified P3, a tenth up on Palou. That's terrifying.

You'd think Ferrucci would be overjoyed to be touched by #47.

I am surprised that Dixon and the Ganassi crew of all people managed to botch a pit stop that badly. That usually does not happen.

I was a little skeptical of this Arlington track after P1 but it seems to work as a race track. Nice job by Will pointing out they the cars will be full throttle for the entire straight. ;)

The craziest thing about that wreck is that he said, "It looked worse than it was." It's surreal to see that because it could have been fatal. given the way the car went through the fence.

TBH Long Beach has been a snoozer for a while. Last year they had 0 cautions and Kirkwood led, I think, from flag-to-flag. This year, after that random caution and Palou jumping Rosenqvist(?) on pit lane, it's like idk what I expected

Being there in person at the right grandstands definitely helps; last year I was in the bowl of turns 9, 10, and 11. That seat was boring as hell--very little chaos in the hairpin, surprisingly. This year I was at the grandstands at turn 1 and there's definitely way more action there with drivers making risky inside overtakes, but it's wild to me that, two years of going to Long Beach that there hasn't been some insane crash of a driver making a dumb move and paying the ultimate price for it.
