Yeah, like jabbering on about the wrong car - cutting Hindy off, who was simply trying to point this out... then jabbering on about how far tyres might roll as if he's never seen a crash coming out of the Elbow at Bathurst!!!
Wait until his second stint when it's dark.

He does like the sound of his own voice and takes and age to make a point at times, usually when he's saying something very obvious but he's been a bit of a constant in my motorsport viewing through the years so I give him a bit of a pass from time to time.

He's better than he used to be, to be fair. I've "met" him twice... when I say met... I mean stood next to him, thought about having a chat, then decided not to. The last time was at this very race in 2015, where he and Matt Neal where have and were having a Wurst and a chat at the stall next to the roundabout outside the circuit. After 3 days on my own in Germany I desperately wanted to have a chat to some English people... but then I thought... it's Matt Neal.... and it's Martin Haven.... and decided to wander off into the night alone again!!

edit: because words are difficult

I find it absolutely insane that a driver would get out of their car on the Nordschilefe mid race! Lots of trust in the track crew to 60 up. I also think its awesome a driver is taking care of the car like the old schoolers would do.

They should perhaps stop rambling on about everything but the race, took them a good minute or two to realise there was a lead change just now...

Damn, the 98 is only BMW anywhere near contention...

Hopefully the M8 manages to perform better in the future.

Although I'd hope that BMW went and build a true competitor to the AMG GT with a v8 from the factory, and then turn that into a race car instead of those big lumbering coupes they have now.

Thats it for the #8 for now, I doubt we see it come back from the pits after that.

Gotta admit thou that I've done that many times myself. But in GT only.

That could've been a far uglier event with the Audi threading between the Cayman and the limping Mercedes.

Is the N24 not usually mentioned on the GTP home page? It's a shame this thread isn't busier. Best race of the year, better than that there F1 **** and better than that French endurance race.

I think it has been covered on the front page in the previous years but no idea why not this time. Also not sure who has been the original thread starter in earlier years and if that have anything to do with it. @Famine?

How many of you in here are planning stay awake for the whole race? only 16 hours and 15 minutes to go.

Also, anyone have a link to a live ticker which would feature gps tracking with track map?
