I just hope that during this year PD worked on the the engine note of the Sauber Merc and the GT-One... I've said this a thousand times... my electric shaver sounds 10 times more aggresive than those two...

Funny, never said I love any game. I gave Shift2 plenty of critisism. It has game stoppping bugs on the PS3, that will never be fixed. The difference is, I dont pretend its the best thing since sliced bread, like you, and many others do with GT5.

I am not blindly in love with PD, sorry.

Missing the point completely. You said I am all over FM4. I am excited since its close to release. But I play many other games, and like them as well. The problem is, if somebody doesnt "like" GT5 they are the enemy in your eyes.

I do love it for the tracks, among other things. Dont get me wrong, it IS a buggy game in many areas, but it also excels in more. It wasnt playable until after 2 patches, yet there are still issues. But tracks, cars, sounds, tire model, body roll, tuning, the great AI, the fun single player campaign, and...did I mention the tracks? I am guessing most people that didnt like shift didnt take the time to get into it. It isnt a pick up and play game. It did take time to tune the cars to even make them drivable, but damn once you did it was great.

And worse game...ever? Thats is a pretty bold statment. Unless you have only played 2 games in your life, its also a very dumb one. But hey..your opinion, and you are entitled to it.

And I dont defend EA. I wished the NFL never signed a deal with them to be honest. But unlike many people on this forum, I dont cry about sour grapes, or look for something to "hate". I know EA and the NFL made a deal...so I move on, and deal with it. I wont buy a Madden game....no not because I am boycotting them like other nuts, I just dont care for the games. I guess, I am not a fanboy, and dont have to jump on a side and fight the other side.

to be honest most game journalists barely scratch the surface of games at all these days

the funniest thing was when a forza 4 preview came from IGN and they talked about how gorgeous night racing was when it wasn't even in the game.

If you read the post above the one you quoted, it was a repsonse to someone saying S2 was the worst game ever made, and asked if I loved it for the tracks. My repsonse was a cheeky reponse. Again taken out of context.

The only reason I give GT5 fanatics so much crap, is because they use the 1000+ car count as a +postive. Like the guy I was poking fun at when he talked about the 400,000 or so poloy's on a front bumper of cars in GT5. It isnt true, when only 30% have those poly's.

Also, it seems many (not all) GT5 fans, seem to not be able to look over the fence and see another game. They are blinded. I am still willing to bet people who think GT5 is the best game ever have not played anything else in the genre.

However, depending on how the DLC and Spec 2.0 update goes, i'll at least buy the DLC and check out the updates for GT5. But I just don't see this game being relevant anymore, even with that new content.

Between the inconsistent quality, lackluster car sounds, poor track selection, mountain of technical issues, features missing that have been very common in racing sims for the last 5 years, and the fact that the game shipped in an almost beta state; I don't get how you can say it's funny to state that FM3 was better.

GT5 wasn't a bad game, it overcame a lot of its short comings, especially in the months after release. I have to give PD a lot of credit for continually patching the game and still supporting it, when other developers would have dumped it by now. But to say it's better than FM3, is being very dishonest.

If you like an arcade racer, then FM3 is great for you casual racers. Enjoy. Although I like shift as a better arcade racer.

As for your FM3 is better than GT5 well normally i would launch into a list war. But being the gentleman i am. I am going to on a different tack tonight. Sounds to me as if you played the game. And by that i mean GT5.
