Laguna Seca Historic grassFX...
Put it into the laguna seca historic folder. I would like to see if we have some more skilled people than me adding some better grassfx here.

WilliamRiker2701 seems to have already published a config to GitHub. (so auto downloaded by CSP)

I was just on Laguna Historic and I thought it had grass effects. Like big grass effects. Weeeeeeeeds....

Must be just after a thunderstorm when the desert blooms.

Wonder if anyone could modernize/enhanced this track. It really needs some love.

Howdy,

I built this track from scratch with a buddy years ago.
I've still got all the original working files if someone capable can update the textures, trees, grass etc...
It was made originally for rFactor 1 with BTB, and someone volunteered to port this into AC long before the game itself was even out of Early Access, lol.
It Shows! Ha!
But at the time I didn't care, it was just exciting to get it into AC.
So ya.... Let's do it.
Hit me up!

Since we have the 2.0 version of FD2 Civic Type-R mod now (which drives very nice imo)

Will we be having a remake of the FN2 mod? (It looks okay in the preview, but in game it is much lowered and scraping everywhere)

Anyone here have problems with some URD cars tail lights not working (not the brake lights) when front headlights is turned on? For example URD Arthur Merlin (Aston Martin) and Bayro (BMW) cars just for examples. Also, I'm on CSP 1.61 and SOL 1.6 alpha 5.

There is a fix for the lights of all URD cars somewhere. Can't remember where I saw it though.

Does anyone have links to the Stock Car Brazil mod I saw screenshots posted of the other day?

Go for alpha5 --> delete all sol... folders in \steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\weather before installing it!

http://www.mediafire.com/file/kzybk66lj1jv88y/Sol_1.6_alpha_5.7z/file

For the life of SOL, correct way was to drag the four folders into AC root and confirm overwrite.
Has something changed?

hi guys,
trying to have a constant 90fps in VR with around 20 car on the grid i would like to know from what size skin have a huge impact on fps because i can see often100mo skin ?
which app to use in vr like sidekick (suck fps or not?)
thanks

A field of 20-30 cars with 4K skins can have a major impact, compound that if all of those vehicles (assuming one car) had 1 LOD in them. Super mega wammy hit.

Those 4096x2 skins can be reduced to 2k with resizing them one by one.

Yes, the weather files have been changed from alpha1 till alpha4 so it is mandatory to do these steps before. Use the uninstall.bat Peter provides at discord for uninstalling SOL properly. It works like a charm. I don´t have any issues with alpha5.

I cannot find it in discord. In which channel it can be? In config-chat or configs-library?

Config library, nearly at the end.

Guys, anyone knows how to edit the driver's name on side rear windows?
I am in the process of making this skin for Patrick Marek 1998 BMW 320i STW.
Skin is loosely based on 1993 APTCC winner at Macau. I have tried to edit the file from other skins, but still not successful. The original name will still appears, no matter what I do to them. I am using photoshop cc btw.
Thanks in advance.

I see that there is currently an rF2 conversion of Zandvoort 2020.............

Where is it possible to see?
As far as I know, new tracks in RF2 are protected, and they can’t be opened in 3dsimed. If someone found a way to make Zandvoort conversion, then in the same way it will be possible to transfer other tracks - Sebring, and Monaco

[sagasti9pro]

Is there any skin for the 1975 Monaco track layout??

Thanks FallGuy, is this the same for earlier versions of 1.5?
Time to sit down with AC again, lifes allowing it finally. Couple of months behind.

The Zandvoort 2020 one which was available here and on RD was a rip from RF2. At least I learned this from the comments on RD so it was taken down after reporting from their site then.

No, I doubt so. I think Peter introduced this for 1.61 afterwards. There is no need to use 1.51 further since 1.61 is such a great process. The clouds are looking fantastic and no ugly 3d clouds any longer.

From my experience, a grid of 4k skins didn't have that much effect on FPS. They just take longer for the game to load. I'm sure system specs play a big part. But definitely a yes to those cars with only 1 LOD.

[pk3r72owns]

When the only thing you got right is the layout its a pretty fair review.

The elevation might not be 100% but it's pretty damn close considering i'm a one man band on the other side of the planet.

I thought it was version 2020 based on original Kunos track. But it seems you are right - I found this video. It is definitely not based on the Kunos version of the track. But the links are not working. Does anyone have a working link?
