Look at the position of the collider underneath the car in CM Showroom. Make sure the collider is lower than the floor plate so that it scrapes ground instead of coming through model.

can i move that collider w ksEditor ? Or i need (to (learn) 3DSMAX or Blender for that?

You can move it in the ini files within the data. There's a floor collider and then a whole model collider. The floor one you can size in the data.
Here we can see that the lower collider works pretty well but the model collider has just been taken from another car and isn't a good fit. (you can adjust it, but you need to use software, or search for one that's a better fit)

Here someone did a good job of matching the model collider to the car. The lower collider is good too.

So the issue is not with the collider , as I moved it down, and still there's these weird texture things going on in the floor of the 917
It looks like even when standing still and moving my head, some of the textures become invisible depending on where i look (??)
 
Hello all, I'm currently working on my first mod, making the Mach 5 in AC. Is there a way to animate the collider mesh such that the car can effect the environment? (Say for example extending a wing or lifting the car). Currently animations work but they're just decoration. Also here's a proof of life video:

LAST NIGHT: well now that I'm finally getting my whole ideally modded version of Assetto together I should finally see about this whole RainFX thing, maybe throw $5 to Ilja even though he hasn't posted on Patreon since February

TODAY: Ilja posts on Patreon for the first time since February


Lots of interesting things in the preview, and apparently he was just gone because he was busy? Who knows with these kinds of things, but glad to see he's not been vanished off the face of the planet.

Yet to discover the differences between #5 1977 - 1978 though, if any :-)

Thank you so much Jeroen! At this moment I haven't found differences yet on the net on the Andretti skin, so I decided to simply copy the 1978 livery on the 1977 one. :) It's not a so "clean" work, I know, but I really doesn't find any differences on real photos.
But as ever I'm ready to receive advice and tips on this. ;)

for those interrested in that specific car (the amg gt3) a bit of a progress report with some wip shots. it will release eventually, is done by new convert of the car and will replace my old version when it is going to release somewhere the next months.

Any news on AMG? Eagerly waiting for your Mercedes-AMG GT3 update, mate. Your Audi, Lambo and Bentley are masterpieces, listed in the top 10 of my collection of 500+ cars, I don't expect anything different in your rework at AMG. The version I have of her is nice, but not like the others. Please continue the work. Peace... and thank you.
 
I must share this... I've been playing with ai lines and ai_hint tweaks, and find that much can be done. The big difference seems to be when my ai line is created driving the actual race line (instead of what seems to be driving down the middle of the road (in some cases)) the ai have much better laptimes. Then applying an ai_hint file to it makes it even better (duh..). Just didn't know how much. Makes racing them quite harder. And you can apply these hint tweaks in a track skin folder. Currently have separate tweak/skins to apply to low grip cars, med. grip and high downforce. (This is for Limerock Mtn, but I'll be testing it all over) 2nd last column is with new ai, right column is with hint/tweaks... (similar gains with 70s and 90s cars)

Can you please explain in detail, how you did that? Did you just copy an ai_hints.ini into a new track skin folder?

For testing I tried that with a speed limit (MAXSPEED) for an entire track, but that didnt work at all. If this is really working, it can solve many probelms in AC!

There's a CSP config to make the wipers work, requires CSP 0.1.76 or newer. Installation instructions are linked in my signature.

you are one of the reasons, he won't release the update of the AMG. The cars you mentioned are leaked and not public. They don't belong in the hands of users. The mods were done privately for a league and people leaked them everywhere. Of course, many users won't know that that's true, but the chance that an update for the AMG will come is unlikely. Users are dming Bonny for his great work or problems and every time he knows they are leaked.

Lmao you realize we can drive these cars in ACC - from which they're from ? The absolute gall of that modder to think we don't deserve cars that we can drive in their original game because they were leaked.
Let me laugh man. Keep them then, it's not like these are uber exclusive cars never seen anywhere else eh ?
 
FYI for the floor panel issue in the 917 of Legion , a solution was posted on their site!

"For shadows coming through the floor on this and I suspect other cars, a workaround is to disable 'Fake Shadows FX' in CSP settings."

Bit off topic i know but anyone else here had issues with the new CM being flagged as malware?

I renamed CM exe to assettocorsa.exe and replaced the original one with this one, to start CM instead of the old menus.
It worked fine yesterday, but today Kaspersky Security shut down my Content Manager session, and removed that executable and showed me this:

EDIT: As solution I added exclusions in Kaspersky to trust this exe completely (figure it's a false positive anyway).
Just mentioning it here in case others have similar issues.

Maybe try create cm.exe shortcut then rename the shortcut to assettocorsa
