Two more Belcar 2022 WIP...

The 2020 cars have a little delay... but it will be worth waiting for, as the reason for the delay is one extra car coming to the set... an absolute beauty that will need some more love and time...

For now I will share two new 2022 additions that I've been working on during the week... This weekend I will try and present a sneak preview on the 2020 cars that are already ready to hit the track...
I usually don't partake in the teasing game, but damn. Come to my house, drink all my cola and leave me with tap water.

The Guerilla Toyota S-FR is now a bit more fun to drive in the rain - still no rain tires yet though and still decals in spots where they don't belong, but maybe this nice little car will get some love by GM just like the M240i did recently... @DaWallace

i installed the new CM yesterday and i've since had steam already twice "update" Assetto Corsa !
(it replaced the Content Manager exe with the vanilla assettocorsa.exe again.)
Not sure if my Kaspersky AV is first removing the exe, and that is what then triggers steam to "update" the game (since the exe is missing), or if steam just deems it nesc (maybe they implemented a sort of new hash check before launching... there was a steam update recently as well).

I'm using Oculus VR and was always using this starter method (assettocorsa.exe in the main folder replaced by a copy of the content manager executable which had been renamed to "assetocorsa.exe") and no such issues till now...
Now i'm searching for a way to get Steam to let it be (not update the game at all) , but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that!

Anyone faced the same (and found a solution)?

Does the body still become pink when damaged?

for those interrested in that specific car (the amg gt3) a bit of a progress report with some wip shots. it will release eventually, is done by new convert of the car and will replace my old version when it is going to release somewhere the next months.

you are one of the reasons, he won't release the update of the AMG. The cars you mentioned are leaked and not public. They don't belong in the hands of users. The mods were done privately for a league and people leaked them everywhere. Of course, many users won't know that that's true, but the chance that an update for the AMG will come is unlikely. Users are dming Bonny for his great work or problems and every time he knows they are leaked.
Well, I apologize for that. Thanks for your answer.
I would like to pay for these cars, if possible, as I pay for the CM, the CSP preview versions, the RSSs, URDs and all others I have, all the other donations I've made. That would be more than fair and that's how I like to operate.
However, given the post about the AMG above, published in a public forum, aimed at those interested in the development of the car in question, publicly, I imagined that all the others had the same nature.
Well, I also imagine that you are some kind of secretary to Bonny, give him my sincere message. Also say that the community is looking forward to his next work. Not offering his work would be a hell of a waste of talent - and why not to say, money as well - and that an adequate form of payment for his work be instituted. I guarantee that a significant majority of the community would be happy to pay for the content.
And I'm still, along with many others, waiting for Bonny's AMG update.
Tks

Thanks for this, it's a lovely little car even in its unfinished state. @benbaron @DaWallace any plans to finish it off? The roll cage and electronics boxes are still mounted onto thin air at the moment.

Did the sine-curve no-stutter vertical wiper trick ever get used, by the way? Here's a good car to implement it on.

It would be nice if someone could make real display screens for this one.

Have fun and have a nice day !
@TabsGaming42 any updates or news on this one?

Another Copersucar before "dinner", in this case the "FD04 of 1977, version of the Brazilian Grand Prix". Most of a game is the "front nose" of a car from another mod by Assetto Corsa itself.

Atm there was not planned to update the S-FR. Maybe if i get some time, i can look at this little guy😊

And I've just fixed the issues with the m240i and (hopefully) the last update. 😅

VR update, and some other additions and improvements
Another update! Sorry it took so long, as usual I kept coming up with new ideas and finding new bugs here and there. Here are few highlights:
• Major VR update: Single Pass Stereo (drawing the whole scene in a single pass) should reduce CPU load, Variable Rate Shading (currently only available on NVIDIA GPUs) can improve visual quality and/or performance (depending on settings). Oculus got ASW 2.0 support, and controllers now can be used to interact with HUD, touchscreens and cockpit buttons (if car would have a script setting those) and adjust mirrors (also, track or online scripts can add additional interactive elements for new racing modes or something like that).
• A lot of new server options: jumping due to connection errors cars can turn ghostly and not cause crashes, servers can force extended car and track physics, require certain CSP modules to be active, disable live settings changes, automatically reset cars stuck in walls or falling through ground, set custom rain racing line parameters and more.
• WeatherFX implementation scripts now can create new original effects using their own shaders, like auroras, lightnings, dust storms, tornadoes, etc. Default WeatherFX script already got auroras, rain haze (the effect that was missing from RainFX) and fog hiding upper parts of sky scrapers in foggy conditions. Also, now it has proper rain audio, and wiper sounds are now working by default.
• Now CSP comes with few built-in Lua apps: previously mentioned mirrors configurator and controls tweaker for adjusting FFB and more live, and a new app Setup Exchange for sharing and loading setups while editing car setup (and, of course, there is new Lua API allowing to create other tools extending setup menu like that):
1.png

• New showroom mode for AC with CSP: available from updated CM, in that mode CSP disables audio, Python apps and such to try and load the game as fast as possible, automatically adding missing things to showrooms like spawn points and physics meshes:
1.jpg

• A bunch of new shaders: changing height water for water drains, rainbow stickers, ChromaFlair car paint, car paint and variation of “ksPerPixelMultiMap_AT_NMDetail” with stickers mapped using UV2 and more. Also, AC finally got proper PBR shaders for tracks, but they would still need more work until they’d be usable for creating whole tracks (currently only basic shaders are available). And water shader got updated, now with optional depth-aware transparency (for fitting tracks) and caustics with ExtraFX:
1.jpg

• And a bunch of smaller things, like stopping AC from showing other tracks with no setups in setup menu, new optimizations, various fixes (new wipers are finally fixed!), an ability to replace AC AI and control cars externally and a lot of additions to Lua API. Here is the full list of changes. Also, not mentioned there: DRM cars now will have their rain tyres replaced by new CSP rain tyres, and rain got a few more effects (that rain haze and rain drop splashes).
Thank you so much for all of the support, and, again, sorry it took so long. I’ll try to get the next update sooner, or at least get some stable and shareable preview builds. Next on my list (can’t say for sure if I’d be able to do it, but I’ll try): try to get TreesFX to work, add Leap integration and try to add local reflections for VR, finish PBR shaders for tracks and, of course, work on all the documentation.
(Public CM update will be ready a bit later, I just realized fix for fixed setups online is not entirely complete yet, so I’ll need to quickly patch it first. Here is a preview build for it so far if you’d want to try new showroom mode. Simply use original AC showroom with a new option toggled.)
