Assetto Corsa PC Mods General Discussion

I did some research on google and i think that its a 64bits processor, so it should be able to manage a 64 bits S.O. I had a laptop with 32 bits Windows 7 installed by mistake by the previous owner, i reinstalled the system with a Win7 64 Bits and problem solved. If im saying anything wrong...

Has this issue for Long Beach been addressed? Trackside vehicles and windows of the stadium has this glowing blue windows.....

Assetto Corsa PC Mods General Discussion

That's very odd. For me, although the track gets wet, there's no rainfall effect in all but a few areas. On top of that, does anybody have any ideas what's causing this weird bug with emissive lighting on some trackside objects as depicted here...

No new Acura for Assetto released to the public yet... (ACF if you belong to their group). Plus, google around. There's stuff out there...

except....it got leaked and it's unfinished. And it wasn't meant to be out for the public atm.

Nice thanks, can this work for URD Tochigi(Motegi) as well? That track also seems to have the same issue...

Ferrari 512s Coda Lunga(v1.0) by F40 LM Lover

It is Required CSP 1.76 or above Version...

GOR-GE-O-US, a dream come true like always with your mods... but I don't have lights (except brake lights, that are ok). 😬 Sure is my fault, but I don´t know what to do. (Stranger Things are happening lately in my AC).

CSP 0.1.79, by the way, and I don't have configurated extra keys, only the default ones ("L" for lights, "alt+1,2,0" for wipers...)

EDIT: Keep on reading: the solution is few messages away... 🤦‍♂️

The solution has worked only halfway; the piece that was left over has disappeared... but the exhaust mouth has also disappeared, you can only see the hole through which that mouth should appear...

View attachment 1232365

I have been comparing your file with the original one to try to find out what the differences are, but my knowledge on these topics is very limited and I haven't been able to clarify it; although your solution is better than nothing...

Thanks anyway for taking the mess to help me! 😜

Lol, you are right, I haven't even noticed it right away. I tried digging into that, but can't seem to find an explanation why the exhaust position is interpreted incorrectly when shaking is enabled. And the regular messing with values didn't solve anything this time. Could be mod problem, could be csp problem idk. Anyway, for now I just disabled the shaking in ext_config (just commented out the code). The exhaust pipes (and interior safety nets) should be back in place now, so better than nothing, I say
Attached the updated file here, too!

Hello
Does anyone know if there is a version of Carteham Academy Lhd?
The benobro mod, 2020, version 1.5, only the rhd version...
thx

Yes. There is the Caterham Academy 2017 LHD from Ben. Version 0.93b seems to be the latest, at least the latest version I have.
As it seems it's not available on RD anymore, but I found a link. Sadly its v 0.7... and only two skins.
So here's mine: https://sharemods.com/5rywfqlh5vzi/bo_caterham_academy_lhd.zip.html

[Wlynsan]

Sim. Existe o Caterham Academy 2017 LHD de Ben. A versão 0.93b parece ser a mais recente, pelo menos a versão mais recente que tenho.
Parece que não está mais disponível no RD, mas encontrei um link. Infelizmente é v 0.7... e apenas duas skins.
Então aqui está o meu: https://sharemods.com/5rywfqlh5vzi/bo_caterham_academy_lhd.zip.html

OK Thanks for the help, I can drive the rhd, but it takes a lot of work to move the h shifter around...

You've kind of answered your own question. Look in the config, it's quite obvious where the relevant section is.

obvious to you, maybe... (if it was that 'easy' , someone would have done it already ... )

So I checked in the ext_config and didn't find any of the 2 components (EXT_004 or BODY_007) mentioned in there...
Then unpacked the data and looked in all files. Only in the proview_nodes.ini file these 2 mirror objects names are mentioned :

<snip>
NULL_mirrors=0
____RIGHT_MIRROR=0
____LEFT_MIRROR=0
____EXT_004=0
____BODY_007=0
<snip>

But I don't know what to change here to stop these from moving along with the safety net... Tried changing =0 to =1,
to no avail...
I've been looking on google for 30 minutes now, and can't find it, so please give me a hint (or rather just the plain answer as you seem to know it... ) Thanks!

Ah, sorry - I was on my phone when answering earlier. There's usually a section (often called 'wobbly bits') in the config where all this stuff (like shaking exhausts, mirrors etc) is.
If nothing like that is in the config then it might not be straightforward to fix.
Have you tried removing or commenting out the 004 and 007 entries above to see if that does anything (after backing up the ini first, of course)?

no problem...
there's no wobbly bits section in the ext_config.ini , and removing those 2 lines from proview_nodes.ini also didn't stop them from shaking...
have this setting in CSP Smart Mirror turned off,

so I guess it's not possible to quick-fix (and arguably it's not even nesc. something that needs fixing, just I preffer my mirrors to not shake )

Hello mate, having trouble playing this as my crsh Porsche GT3 r indurance isn't the same as the one in the championship.

Should be but I don’t have that track so I can’t say for sure. Using “Object Inspector” in game and checking the mesh name will feel you if there’s any emissive (aka “glowing”) properties for the material, then it’s just a matter of correcting the value in the config.

At Les Combes, I'm getting a section of grass with different color. This was present in v1.0 as well. Is this intentional?

My config: CSP 0.1.78, no SOL, no Pure

Have you checked in data damage.ini that was the old way to get things shaking before csp came along..

Not completely intentional, it might need to be SAND/GRAVEL or very brown grass/dirt. Historical videos have a bad angle to really see it clearly
Will have a look, thanks.

Hello!
You need to assign keys for proper work. I don't remember exactly right now.
Head light is assigned "L" as you mentioned.
High beam is assigned "H" in button section of CM Control.
And Fog light need to assign for "extra f" in patch section of CM

[jac0]

Have you checked in data damage.ini that was the old way to get things shaking before csp came along..

Thanks!!!
There was indeed a section in damage.ini for making the mirror shake!
(for ppl reading, this on the Volkswagen UP by Daniel Jimenez)

Much better without the shaking imho (esp in VR) , but arguably the creator of the mod thought different (and his good right).
Although I don't get why then only the left mirror shakes and not both sides ...

EDIT : pls note that the thumbs up from Mascot was only on above part

NEW TOPIC:

wow, check out this new release on RD ,
from the effort that went into the alone, this must be a good one (not tried myself yet)
and it's at version 8.1 ! (never seen such high version number )

ps: download now , as speeds are still ok on RD this time of day

EDIT : I tried it and it looks nice, sounds nice , drives nice, but... for v8.1 I would expect already rainfx and working wipers ...

Nissan 300ZX JGTC - Castrol Racing Liveries

These fictional liveries are almost done - currently fiddling with rear-body irregular angles that require more than your average nip-tucks adjustments...

This is another favourite mod (thanks @Greg_ST ) - it just needs headlights and wipers to be a complete car-package. BTW - any news on these missing items?

[Jack_NL]

Not original link, but sure, here it is.
1- D/L 1
2- D/L 2
3- D/L 3

Found this working version (with Google on Facebook )
I had tried that version earlier and thought it gave also the error
so I had your version working! but i see my altered structure is the same as in the link lol

Ok, thanks... I thought that with default generic settings was enough, since with other mods, the front and rear lights (not the fog, claxon or other accesories) works without problems...

EDIT: I'm dumb... In "Options/Assetto Corsa/Controls/Buttons" I didn't have the "Combine with keyboard" option activated... Sorry for distract you all with my stupidity...

Hello mate, having trouble playing this as my crsh Porsche GT3 r indurance isn't the same as the one in the championship.

hey, google the file name for the car and you will definately find it within a minute. the championship needs redoing as more livieres have come onboard

Wing is now fixed, seriously why would they put forza aero on this beautiful machine. The car is left open to put some stickers on the wing to there skins and I was researching for a 4.0L V8 sound for this car, I noticed majority of my Assetto DTM mods have inline 5 sounds or V10s IDK why. I've replace the sound so it sounds more appropriate to its IRL counter part. This car needs some work done to it. Unfortunately, I don't have the dedication for DTM plus I have other projects I'm working on. Someone else can do it. The download link will be up for a limited time.

-Have fun

Edit: ACTK has it save on their site: https://modsfire.com/0YZ996Qh47F33I5

[Wlynsan]

Hello I'm tweaking the physics of the MARC M2 V8, because the bop compared to other V8s is pretty uneven. I was able to tweak engine settings and stuff. At first, it even worked well, but in some curves, the AI passes right by. I wanted to know if there is any configuration in the physics of the car that prevents this? I notice that, when running with a grid using the V8corsa mod, the race flows normally, if that exhaust in the corners... Thanks in advance

[Kurt Woods]

I have a question for the guys who know more about modding than I do. I've been reading on the CSP Github about "emissive lighting" and I was wondering if its possible to light up an object that is attached to a bunch of other parts without lighting those as well or does the object, in this case, LED's which don't light up with the headlamps, require creating a new object in 3D software to accomplish this? Would you just "attach the items to the existing LED's that do light up?

[Perico Lospa]

... This car needs some work done to it...

If I knew how to do it, the first thing would be the fine mesh effect and the strange dizzying reflections from the windows...
