... If the previous tips don't work, I surely will try the Steam reinstall.
Thank you.
You're welcome!

By the way, now that I remember, if you finally do the reinstall, take a look at the messages after the one I linked to you before, since maximeerkat had difficulty when reinstalling Steam/AC since his hard drive did not have enough space to made the operation easily...

Hello.

After two weeks without playing AC (except installing a few new mods), this weekend, when I've got the mood to test some new cars and tracks, this happened every time a race started to load.

View attachment 1393311

No matter what car or track (tried with Kunos car/track combo as well), always the same Race cancelled window.

This is what I have set.
View attachment 1393312

And tried all these CSP without success.

Any idea of what is wrong, and how can I fix this?
Spent all weekend searching for online tips, but with no success.

Thanks for any help.
1.79 isnt the latest stable version anymore, @Peter Boese mentioned numerous time that Ilja need to uptade that info
Have you seen how old are the post?

Anyone manage to get the TGN Modding Mini JCW that was just released?

I paid for it on Patreon and DM'd him for the Encryption password but after 3 days of promises he just blocked me on Patreon  Seems he can't cope with the fact people were DM'ing him for the password then, shock horror, criticising him for not providing it...
As he blocked me I can't see the post anymore but I wasn't the only one to shout him out. Seems like a scam to me.

Silly really, first car I've been willing to pay for in a lonnng time but I'll just stick to finding them elsewhere and wait for the childish creators to grow up. In the meantime, don't give TGN your money - he's 'got more important things to worry about than writing a password for a £5 car'

all my cars/tracks are compressed. I only had 25g of space and when i reinstalled steam i had to re install assetto and all dlc's again which of course they were uncompressed and all kunos cars back (i deleted 80% of them). so when it came to re installing everything i did not have enough disk space. Took me 6 hours in the end to sort it all out.

thanks steam

the fact that if steam doesnt work you CANNOT play AC is utterly unfathomable to me and we should not be accepting that.......AT ALL

yes you can tick the "use in offline mode" or whatever it is called but if steam doesnt work your game dont work.......period.

i fail to see an upside to this

there must be a solution to this i just do not no it.

PART I

Okay guys. Every single 2005 and 2007 track has gotten period correct skins. Fuji is still WIP. So much work in that one.

I played these seasons and I simply couldn't stand watching the modern ads (DHL, Aramco, Pirelli, ROLEX etc) anymore. 99% of the ROLEX ads have been removed. Adelaide has orange surface instead of Rolex green, etc.

I also hated those DRS signs on the track.

I don't like the Kunos logos, either.

They have all been removed and replaced with 2005-2007 period correct ads.

I'm not saying they're in the correct spots but the way I did this was that I watched a hotlap from that era from Alonso or Kimi and saw what ads they used in the particular track.

For example Monaco 2005 had Gauloises, Hockenheim had Olympus, Mobil 1, etc.

So they're somewhat correct. But all should be period correct. I didn't want to use Santander that much as it was mostly used in post 2007.

I think these are pretty much ok for early 2000's too. You know Allianz, Vodafone, Bridgestone, Mobil I, Panasonic, Olympus, POTENZA, Repsol, ING, TAG Heuer, Fosters, etc.

Feel free to use them anywhere you want.

That was a lot of work I can tell you.

Some screenshots.

The video shows Monaco, Spa (with 2008 skins), China, Bahrain and also Barcelona with correct 2005 layout.

I upload the skins separately when I have the energy. But they are all inside the tracks. I also updated the season a little bit. All downloads in the video description as usual.

Just check the 2005_2007 skins from CM and it should all work.

And here's real Kimi's Monaco legendary lap in comparison. I was 2 sec slower although I clocked it at low 1:14 today.

That’s what I mean, to edit the heights of the 3D steering wheel in 3D space, similar to how we can move the 3D driver model’s position.
Not in content manager. Yoy need to unpack kn5 then open it in blender edit the steering wheel position then save the. Kseditor import the car and export as kn5

no that needs data.acd unpacking and editing the suspension.ini file
but you would not be able to join an online race with that mod any longer, correct?
(as it's not just a cosmetic update but one that impacts the performance of the car, so it would be considered "cheating" and you'd be kicked out of the server running that car with the original data.acd)

hi, thanks for all your hard work and effort! Amazing stuff

ps : could you not make the mediafire links clickable? (doesn't Youtube allow links in the description to Mediafire?)

You're welcome.

It used to allow but not anymore. If you add http:// the link doesn't show up.

But those are easy. Highlght, right click-> open in a new window. Cheers.

Well this just started popping up, I never seen this error before... Anyone know what this is? I search the thread and got nothing.
I assumed it had something to do with CSP by looking at the address, but I have never made any changes in the setting, just offline racing.

Fortunately there is no server hosting TRP cars so you don't have to worry about this

Has anyone managed to work out what causes the shadow flickering on the dashboard, driver's gloves, around the A-pillars etc in some cars? The frequency of the flashing seems to increase with car speed. At walking speed it's a very metronomic on-off-on-off, and at higher speeds it's like a strobe light.
It seems related to direct sun coming through cockpit glass as it's not noticeable in overcast weather, and only seems to affect some materials, but not others.
It's incredibly distracting and incredibly annoying.
Anyone found a solution?

Edit: found the culprit. Might just be a VR issue. If you're experiencing the same symptoms, DO NOT have 'Don't use in VR' selected here. Seems like it's bugged in the latest CSP. Select 'Use' instead and the flickering goes away completely.
Very glad to have that fixed, it was migraine-inducing.

Edit: driver gloves still flicker in sunlight. Bah!

Hadn't seen this skin anywhere yet so I thought I would share mine for the IMSA fans looking to fill our grids. Its the Inception Racing #70 Ferrari 296 for the urd_ferrucci_296_23 which debuted at Indy 6 hour race. Again, its not 100% but serves the purpose on track.
Enjoy!

Since it's been a while since the first version was released, have there been any improvements to the car by URD or is ChemFlummi's version still the best?

Hello to everyone! This is my first ever post here and I'm not even sure that my reply is going to look proper when I click "Post reply". I'm used to read your posts and admire the work that many of you have done, because this is how we reached to this day, a day with an Assetto Corsa full of content made by passionate people. The reason I'm posting today is to give my feedback for f302's Alfa 155, and by the way thank you for sharing these three magnificent cars. So, I have other mods that are using config files in their skins and everything is working properly, but for some reason the 155 appears to have all three sets of wheels on the same time. This happens only in custom showroom though. I tried to read the config files but didn't manage to find any mistakes I could realize, so I came to let you know. I don't know if anyone else cares about it or if I did help by sayin' it, but hey, it's my first post and maybe a begining of sharing whatever I have made or edited until now! :) Hats off to all of you creative people!

And since I started posting, I have a special request for @MrLonguinha17. I've seen over time some posts of yours with the Porsche 936/78 and I think that I've seen the Alpine A441 as well. Have you made these cars? Do you need help to finish? I'd be really interested to see even a low poly version of these two. I'd also be glad to know if I can help. I can do some easy tasks in 3dsimed and some more with Photoshop CS5 in case you need anything. -Thank you for all the missing cars you have already posted!

Thank you for the heads up, I do not have the issue, but then again my CSP version does not have the option. :sly:
And since I started posting
You are new, so a little advice from an old dog, this forum, for very good reasons, as a very low tolerance for double posting.
Welcome to GT Planet. :gtpflag:

Welcome aboard

There are very nice close siblings of the cars you're looking for, the 936/77 and the A442, over at Legion's GDrive. (@GzeroD)
