Thank you for creating the MOD. I was waiting for 155. I tried driving with AMG and Opel, but the straight speed of 155 seems to be quite slow. Was that actually the case?

Finally, the Schnitzer skin. Huge thanks to @racealot for providing the graphics!

Shouldn´t it read "Original" instead of "Genuine"? I really like that skin, though. Thanks for this.

It should, but it was the only graphics available, with the text already there. I tried removing the text and replacing it, but it didn't look good, so I had to settle with this German-English mix. I have seen some liveries with "Genuine BMW Parts", and other with "Original BMW Teile", but none with this mix... Before now! :)

@racinjoe013 The cat came back...no its not a bug, just me fooling around. 🙃

BTW, did somebody notice that the jumbo screens at Spa show still frames of cars exiting Raidillon, from Kemmel onwards to Campus? Also the camera angles look sometimes too close. I don't know how to fix it, in the ext_config-pyyer-spa-displays-2023.ini 🙁

Donington Park 2018 Mod

This is an updated version of the test mod I put out a few days ago. Because of the number of changes, it got difficult to do it as a mod to the original track. I made it a standalone track so as not to fool with the original version. All credit for the track goes to the original author Brun. It will come up as Donington Park 2023 in your track list, but the year is not indicative of how the track is represented. I just needed some way to recognize which track was which. You can edit the ui files and give it whatever name you want.

Please let me know of any problems or suggestions so I can try and make it better.

Donington Park 2023

Changes from past version:

-- Added original author's name and version number to the track ui files.
-- Made the 40 pit layouts from Paprika work with my changes.
-- Added geo tags to the ui files.
-- Animated all of the flags that were not animated. I'm not real happy with the new flags, but at least they are animated. I wanted flags that were attached to the pole and did not arc in heavy winds, but I couldn't figure out how to make them. Plus they have an odd shading. In some directions, they are very bright and in other directions they are darker. Most likely a fault in the way I made them from lack of knowledge. If I ever find a way to fix these issues, I will update the flags.
-- Some tweaks to the night lighting and also enabled the lights to turn on when it rains.
-- Incorporated my grass changes directly into the kn5 file so it would be easier for people to make their own track skins.
-- Little tweaks to the ai sidelines to keep them off the raised kerbs. If you use a 3rd party ai already, then you may not need this.
-- Re-made the starting position file for the 40 pit GP layout from Paprika. Thanks to @Quikslvr for pointing it out to me. It must have been created for online use because he had the cars lined up in a position of the road that wasn't part of the track. This caused the ai cars in the back not to move at the start. It's not perfect and the tail end cars take some time to get moving, but at least they move now.
-- Fixed blurry Paddock area texture
-- Added semaphore lighting to start lights

One thing I still want to do is find a way to bring back the mow lines that the real track has. I've got some ideas on a way to do it, but I didn't want to hold up the release just for that.

Track has been updated to version 2.03b. Use the link in the quote to get the updated version.

It's kind of an optional update because there have been no major changes. I mentioned a few weeks ago when I fixed the car shadows on the road lines that I wanted to revisit the grass and that's what this update does. The grass is now less saturated and a bit more natural looking. I still don't think it's quite right, but it's better than before.

If you decide to install the update, first disable and delete the Grass and Grass2 track skins from your current track folder. Then drag the contents folder from the download file to the root 'assettocorsa' directory and overwrite when it asks. The two Grass track skins have been replaced with new versions, but neither of them need to be used. They are optional and alter the grass colors a bit. Feel free to try them out if you want.

I think I mentioned this before, but it's worth mentioning again. The two Mask skins and Trees skin are optional. The Mask skins make the grass progressively more patchy looking. Again, you can choose not use use either one or try each one and see if you prefer how they look. The same goes for the Trees skin. It simply changes some of the tree textures to what I think are better looking trees. Your opinion may differ.

EDIT: If you already downloaded this update, please download again. I changed the grass_fx setting and it caused grass to spawn in the sand areas. That's been fixed. Sorry for the hassle.

Hi Guys

Here is my texture update for the Ford Sierra 89' DTM car.

If there's ever been a update that has given me headaches and problems, this would be no.1.

Interior decal texture has so many different textures including the AO.

I've had to rework every single one seperately, replaced some, repaired some and then still had to layer a few differently. Never want to see this texture again.

Hopefully you guys will enjoy this update :)

Please read the installation carefully before you proceed

Installlation:

You need to have the t78_sierra89_dtm by Tommy78 car mod installed first.
- Back up skins folder first before you apply my update, this will allow you to customize your interior as you want.

- Most or all skin folders have their own rollcage texture color, interior paint texture color, gear knob texture color and team logo texture.

My update will overwrite these textures.

- My update is a general update and you can customize your interior as you please.

- There is a seperate folder (Remove_mod_badge_from_dilsplay _dash) which will allow you to remove the mod designers logo from the display dash. Copy these textures into each skins folder as per file structure. This texture will not change the skins rim color or appearance, it will only remove the logo, allow to overwrite.

There's also a rim blur fix for car no. 31, 32, 33 included in this folder

- All my texture updates are in the ClimaxF1_t78_sierra89_dtm_texture_update, copy them as you want into each skins folder.

- There's a optional interior 2k decal in the Optional_2k_interior_decals folder if you want, copy this texture into each skins folder.

- There's a optional Pirelli tire texture in the Optional_Pirelli_tires folder, copy these textures into the extension/pirelli folder and each skins folder where car has Pirelli tires.

P.S. If you don't know how to install these textures or cannot find car mod, please send me a DM and I would be more than happy to assist :)

Since it's been a while since the first version was released, have there been any improvements to the car by URD or is ChemFlummi's version still the best?
@peppemuratore I would say that would have to be a personal preference as to which is "best." For me the URD template is a much easier skin simply in terms of layout and continuity, mind you this is the first time doing a 296 and I am mainly using it as a grid filler for offline racing.

Hey guys, two tracks that I would love to see converted from acc would be Indy Road course and Snetterton, happy to input some cams. Laser scanned goodness that deserves some love. I was hoping fenryr would get the ball rolling but hey ho... I live in hope.

In the ext_config-pyyer-spa-displays-2023.ini file, change the camera fov values to something bigger. I.E., change CAMERA_7_FOV = 7 to CAMERA_7_FOV = 20 (or higher).

Track has been updated to version 2.1. Use the link in the quote to get the update. Before extracting, disable the 'AddonTextures (Keep Enabled)' track skin temporarily, extract the update and overwrite when it asks, then re-enable the 'AddonTextures (Keep Enabled)' track skin. If you are using any of Pyyer's extensions, make sure to also extract the files in the 'Files_for_Pyyer_extensions' folder and overwrite when it asks.

All changes are suggestions by @rickety35235

Changes:

-- Added missing collision physics to certain guardrails and fences that did not have them.
-- Fixed areas of the grass meshes that a car could fall through. If you find any I missed please send me a pm with a picture of the area so I can fix them.
Hey there, there is also this intermediate variant available; are you able to rework the sector where you bypass the GP track a little bit (meaning smoothen out the curves, the yellow lines and make it less bumpier? In it´s current state it feels a little bit mediocre to use. I could send you the files if you don´t have them. Cheers!

Yes, that’s the fix I known before, nonetheless it still leaves the Jumbotron screens frozen on most parts of the tracks.
That is the problem I can’t get my head around. Let alone, which display uses which cam?

Good afternoon. Today I noticed a strange feature, I always played AC only in the "race" mode (yesterday the bots drove me crazy with their brake tests), and I switched to the "practice" mode. Having driven a fast lap along the Nords, I was very surprised, the time I set was more than 20 seconds behind my record, which was set in the "race" mode. Moreover, I drove very cleanly, the weather, wind, and asphalt conditions are always the same for me. Then I turned on the "race" mode and drove almost with my record, fell behind by a second, then turned on the "practice" mode again and again fell behind by more than 20 seconds. What is this connected with? I repeat, all the parameters of the weather, wind, and asphalt conditions are the same in both modes.
For the sake of interest, I set the "hotlap" mode and drove almost the same as in the "race" mode. This means that there is clearly something wrong with the "practice" mode.

Was it the first lap? In Practice mode there are tracks where the clock starts ticking the moment you load the track, not when you go through the starting line. Nords is one of those.

yes it was the first lap, thank you, you are right, I didn't notice that the timer was starting before the lap started.

It is currently being develiped in the le mans project discord server
So cool. Since we're on the 1965 Lemans edition i suppose, do you know if they're working on the 275p2 and 330p2 as well? Those cars are missing in my Monza 1000km preset as well. If you have a link to the discord i'm super interrested!

Question for the braves : if i need to switch to another skin for opponents in real time OR in replay, what's the best plan here? Avoiding the "erase and replace skin" technic

Gabiria-Legazpi port from RBR finally out for AC in the next weeks...Project started by original creators Jan Kaderábek and Lorenzo Clerici, finished and released by Superstage. Probably the best looking trees i have seen in AC.View attachment 1393768View attachment 1393769View attachment 1393770View attachment 1393772
Please send links when its released, looks amazing.

Edit : Oh boy it goes way deeper than i thought
Haha, I should have warned you it would be a rabbit hole, but then again I think you'd enjoy it.
