Assetto Corsa PC Mods General DiscussionPC

[Badgerman]

@Fanapryde - I just checked and they don't work with non of the GTR mod I used so I will try to adapt them manually to the car I am working on as a practise.

For now the biggest problem is adapting the rim color. When I tried, only front left and right rear rims were painted.

They do work, if you change the name of body.dds to assettogarage_work.dds.

Did you know philip island has a nice hot tub in the middle? To bad you can't see it from the track.

Which Philip Island is that? Pretty sure I only have one and it isn't very good. That looks decent.

I snatched the track here: (Phillip Island starts at 7:10)

For anyone who hasn't tried shuto revival with traffic. Great fun

I tried it with the F1 cars & it feels great. But i haven't got CSP to work tho...not even with traffic.

Too bad the person in the video does not know that is not the correct driving position in VR, it was a pain to watch

[Wusel]

My first attempt in making liveries.
I missed some good jobs for Diablo GTR, therefore I decided to make a package of various liveries for the lambo edited by Assettogarage from August 3rd.
I still have some issues probably coming from the learning stage like mirrored clarion logo on door mirrors since in the template there is only one of them.
I think once I'm sure it's perfect, I will be releasing this skin. I hope you'll enjoy it and if you have any suggestions for any future liveries you would like to get, feel free to introduce them.

would you mind sharing your version of your car? Didnt find it in this thread and my version of this car is pretty bad tbh.

would anyone happen to have the f1 2001 mod by simdream

Yes, I do.

[Barbe Rouge]

would anyone happen to have Mercèdés GT One mod

Just curious, but what is the correct driving position for VR? Is it not just personal preference such that you set it to how you sit in real life which depends on your size and seating position preference?

Correct in my opinion. I am real gangly and as such sit way back, what the screen shows is not what you can see as you only see where you are looking, with rift s you can really look around with in the headset bh moving your eyeballs. Not saying I'm right but it's defo personal preference as it would be in real life and not a generic position as you get entering first person in a driving game.

[Jdramirez]

Well it was released as a prank to think it was the GT One mod, but it turns out its just a van. Why?

[Barbe Rouge]

I had read elsewhere that this forum that it existed well

[fast2ghl]

Yes, I do.

Next question incoming; "can you share it please?" - although there may not be a "please" at the end, I took the liberty of inserting it just to be safe.

I didn't see any problem with the seating position in that video. The shakiness made it a bit unpleasant to watch though, my VR does not shake rattle and roll like that.

From Dan Busca on FB:
Nissan R91CP (1991) v1.5
Are you ready?
Do you have what it takes to conquer The Ring in this infamous Group C BossCar?
I've spent a long time perfecting this legendary racing car, sharing my first version in December 2018, working on it on and off.
I believe I have a good enough version to release to you all. I could tell you about the extensive list of fixes, updates and additions I have made. But I'll just just say it has my touch...

I already had the original car.
This 'tuned' version is considerably faster , but I have an issue with it. Car damage display almost constantly flashes a red engine, indicating damage. It's not that I am hitting the red line all the time, even at (much) lower RPM's the engine flashes... Had no failure yet, but did only 5 laps.
Somebody else with this issue ?
I'm not on FB, so I can't contact him to ask about it.

Too bad i couldn't find the download link for the real mod instead of a sick prank.

Pretty sure there isn't a real mod, it was just a prank all along?

I'm assuming it's not this one then?

Or are you referring to the Mercedes-AMG One? Sorry I'm not clued up on Mercs at all

I will try, I just intalled it yesterday but I forgot to test it today ! ;-)

Which track did you use !?
My "test track" is vanilla Silverstone GP, I will drive after this post.

Cheers ! ;-)

Oh i was referring to the Project One, the concept car that i wanted to get but it turned out to be a bad prank when someone posted a download link to the car.

I'll have to backtrack through my posts.

EDIT: Okay i found the post for the fake Project One car mod. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/assetto-corsa-pc-mod-discussion.307899/page-258#post-12703610

Of course they didn't even try to upload the real car mod...
Even people got so angry that they wanted the real mod when it turned out to be a GMC van.

Ah, that clears things up sorry. May it be RTM's next £££ model??

[Fanapryde]

Which track did you use !?

To test the car behaviour I always use Okutama Grand...

For more intensive test I use different tracks, depending on the sort of car and where they would race normally.

My only question, was it out already? I have like two cars on my wishlist & still no leaks.

Can't upload something that doesn't exist.

I blame "heinrichk" for pulling a terrible prank. Guess im stuck with the GMC van until i get a replacement vehicle.
