Made a new nordschleife layout，Now you don't need to run a full lap to get into the hotlap. Starting from Nordschleife Tourist pit.Record the whole lap time.More friendly to online.

Create ID.R Time Attack server，Welcome to make a hotlap Track Laptime：http://topbug.iask.in:50041/lapstat?currservers=BUG9

The download links for the car and the track are in

Toprace Discord Server：https://discord.gg/ztX2AFK

Really nice version of the Volkswagen I.D. R by Whistleblower39, and it's a good that there's now a Time Attack layout for the Nordschleife as this car only has enough "juice" to complete one lap.

About the third lap I ran--a little loose and sloppy, so I could probably cut a few more seconds off after some more runs.

Any of you guys has an idea how to get a transparent background for the Track Description app ?
It had it always transparent, but latest CM updates seem to have altered a lot of things.
If there is a setting, I have forgotten about it.

Now it looks like this:

and when there is no message there is still that dark 'window', whereas before I got only text or transparency...

Also: my game sound has changed in several cars. Engine sound has weakened while others sounds are now stronger. It's not due to changed settings. I checked that and they are still the same as before...

That said, sound in replays is also much more quiet. Car sound is barely noticeable, only a bit louder in fly-by's.

[xezez]

does anyone else have this version of csp installed outta the blue even it says that its not available?

Yes. I think it's only downloaded if your CSP udpater option is set to download 'untested previews'... but I'm not 100% certain of that. Either way, I've got that version too.

[POLELUKE]

Is anyone on here willing to help me out with some remodelling I'm willing to pay some money CHeers

Hmmm. I thought the same thing about the engine sound level when driving a couple of different cars last night. Decided to go to bed instead of going on another 'bug hunt'. After spending the last two weeks trying to solve a GPU 'freezing' issue, I'm a bit over that right now and just want to spend more of my time actually driving!

(The good news is that I did finally find the source of my GPU/graphics issue.)

I always thought once you "pin" an app it makes the background transparent but I jut tried it with the Track Description app and it just made it disappear.

I had asked Ilja about the possibility to make all AC vanilla apps' background transparent, but he was not sure about that. he could rewrite them with the new imgui style

The last part is the best
I also like to maximise my driving time, but these 'issues' take away some fun. Car sound is much too weak now, while riding over kerbs is very load, as are the other noises (tires, shifting etc...)

Yeah, I thought so too, but now that does not do the trick anymore...

Let's hope he does then... Thing is, this particular has always had a transparent background and now it turned dark...

Hi everyone,
I've been following this thread for a while and wanted to get some opinions. I've been working on a set of nearly 40 replica skins for the AE86, but here is the thing thats bugging me. The cars that I'm basing these liveries off of are so much faster than the Kunos tuned AE86. I just feel it would be more interesting if the car was quicker and maybe BOP'd up to some other interesting competition, like maybe BTCC and then release the whole thing as a new car pack? What do you think? While I'm at it, is it possible to remove the Trueno badging and car stereo from the Kunos model? Any recommendations or help you want to give are welcome.

Here are some samples

[xezez]

I hope there's always the option to have both dark or no backgrounds. Some apps are terrible without a background. The figures just get lost among the trees as they whip by.

Not identical to the one in the video, but pretty close?

Yes, close, but would be nice if available. The resolution looks not so good, but might be better than nothing.
Still that model deserve a first rate mod to honour it.

It's not so bad, also available on Assettoland. Physics not so good though and no AO. Going to give it a quick overhaul and see how it comes out

I see there's 2 on Assettoland...One by Forceful and one by Assettogarage. Are they both the same model cause they look pretty similar to me. I'm sure I looked on there earlier and didn't see them on there.

[norms]

They do look pretty similar, they have different mapping though. So not sure if Forceful used his own model or reworked the AG one. Anyway, I am going to see what I can do with the AG one.

Cool. Be good to see it look a little less soft around the edges

Can I ask where the 996 cup is from?

Sorry mate, it has no author file. And many of my mods haven't it. Besides, I don't remember where I got it from.

Edit: Btw, I've found this 'civilian' 996 in my AC.

[a3rdperson]

Anybody knows how to decrease this new csp exhaust smoke on certain cars?

It can be made to go faster.
Nice skins.

There is another 996.

AO looking nice, original colour too, or as close as I can get. Got to leave it for tonight. Not a perfect model but decent enough that it deserves at least a bit of love but I'll not be spending a lot of time on this car as I have so much to do already. I'll try and fix the physics tomorrow. It would be good if @megolito would take over the physics part though

That looks a thousand times better

[TonySSS]

That error frequently comes up with improperly cloned cars. tyres.ini is not the problem per se, car name and folder doesn't match so data.acd won't work. CM picks up on tyres.ini.

If your folder name is ks_mercedes_amg_gt3_2020, use the attached data.acd (rename first). It's from the latest version on RD and adapted to that folder name.

Thanks a lot, it worked now, apart from two error messages and strangely having no sound at all, the rest is fine thankfully

[Real Toonces]

Golly, you're really putting the pressure on for this GT86 GT4 I'm working on. I'll have to revisit the Genesis and see if I can yet again get that feel.
Thanks for the nice comments about the handling.

It really is a sweetheart. Just right. I wouldn't change a thing.

Finally someone made the Bugeye wagon! But its quality is so bad that its not even playable lol! If only i know how to fix it...

I would search in here probably seeing as this is where it came from.

Probably isn't super important to anyone who has already downloaded it, but the Hyundai Genesis GT4 has gone live over at Racedepartment.

Here's something different to try. I told you I was working on trying to get Karts more into the fun range. If someone wants to try them and see if the fun value went up, here's a Kart 100 and Kart Track bundle.
They slide around more but remain controllable. I'm not really going for 100% accurate here, more for fun. The originals seemed to grippy and took 15 seconds to start going off the start. AI are given everything I could to make them competitive.

To try this it's recommended that AI = 100, Aggression = 100, somewhere around 7 laps and turn fuel consumption off so random AI don't start pitting (they may anyways for whatever reason though)
Also, I recommend counting to 5 before shifting to 1st gear and going. I know, lame, but these could really benefit from a rolling start in this game. The AI are going to get into accidents and go off. That's part of the fun. So tell me if it's worth it to copy to the other ones or if it's a lost cause. I had a couple good races and once the AI spreads apart, they get pretty fast, way faster than what they were before.
