Have you guys tried patrikpat's Suzuka which is based on the reboot version? I just did a quick hot lap on that one and it appears there is no timing problems?

Thanks I've just downloaded it, had seen it before but forgot about it, have to say I do prefer this to the older version. The issue isn't so much with the lap timing (that works fine on both old and new versions) but if you use the performance delta app within AC after the first lap it will update as it should from the early start/finish line until roughly the first grid slot and then freeze for the rest of the lap making it effectively useless. The timing itself works fine though and keeps increasing as it should, I test with the Z4 GT3 so I can see that the times work on the display.

Seems it's the same deal on this version, not a massive issue but I think I'm going to move the start line forwards on my PC, first for the quick fix with the performance delta, and second because that's where it seems to be on other games I've played, even if they use the current position now from what I've seen in F1 and Super GT.

Hello all. Hoping maybe some of the track tweaking gurus can fix a glitch in the Reboot Suzuka. The timing of the track is off--as evidenced by the delta timer freezing shortly into a hotlap. I identified the problem, I think, which is that the track seems to have at least two start/finish lines which confuses the timer. Upon entering the straight, at the beginning of the start boxes (at the DRS marker), there is a start line which triggers the timer, then the line where one would expect the start/finish (after the start boxes) freezes the delta timer. Is there a way to adjust and combine the start/finish line into a single point? Thank you for any guidance . . .

Here you can find the Reboot version tweaked by PatrikPat. It does not have this issue and has overall improved over the original:

Gosh, Thank you Im_Lukas. I will give that a try. I had tried fiddling with some kn5 file editing tutorials for a while last night, but was a bit overwhelmed. Really appreciate you sharing your tweaks.

Love this track. Came to adore it (Kansai) in Automobilista, and am pretty sure this is the same model, and it's great fun with the content of AC.

Thanks again.

I've noticed this before, I've just moved the start/finish objects to the line after the start boxes and it works fine for me now, surprisingly even the AI still work. I suspect the old AI lines may have something to do with whats going on with the original start/finish, possibly they were recorded with a single lap from the starting grid so they started ahead of the start/finish line and then the game doesn't know what to do with timing in between? That's only a guess though.

I've uploaded my quick fix though, I tend to only do hotlapping and track days so not sure if it's messed anything else up but would always be willing to look in to it.

This is exactly the issue I encountered on both versions. Actually, third-party delta timers worked fine---but it was still strange to have timing start in earlier than the start-finish line. Tried a quick race to see if it screwed up lap counting. I expected it would be a mess since some cars would start ahead of the timing line. Suprisingly, it didn't seem to cause a problem. But it will be nice to have the start/finish at the proper place. Thanks again, Lukas.

Sorry I thought you just meant lap timing :embarrassed: pleased you have found a solution though!

Fix V1.3

— new steering wheel (from ACC)
— new steering animation
— fixed Racelogic text transparency

Finally, now the Bentley is truly up to date!

As well as that, could someone fix this Vuhl I found on AC Car Mods? Something in the car file (The driver or sound file, can't remember) isn't extracting. I use 7Zip, so I'm pretty sure it isn't to do with my extractor!

Lukas---tested your fix over lunch. It works beautifully---completely solved the glitch. I also tested about 5 laps in a quick race, and the timing is accurate, with no ill effects on the AI behavior in that short stint. THANK YOU for sharing your time and expertise.

On that note---is a comparable fix feasible for the Patrickpat 2018 version? Its file structure is a bit different, but as noted earlier, it is based on the Reboot version. Or . . . a primer on how you solve the problem in the kn5? One should always prefer to learn to fish rather than just be given a fish . . .

Actually, Lukas and all---the fix for 2018 appears rather simple. Take Lukas' actiminggp.kn5 file and copy it over the 2018 Suzuka's posF1.kn5 file. Briefly tested, and the fix operates exactly the same as the Reboot version with the renamed file. Thanks again, Lukas.

Yeah I had a look at the files and I think posF1.kn5 is identical to actiminggp.kn5, so if you replace it as long as it's named correctly it will work.

I'm no expert when it comes to mods, mostly just have a poke around in the files to see what's what as I'm SLOWLY working on creating my own track when I feel inspired to do so which isn't so often. To "fix" this all I did was open actiminggp.kn5 with 3DSimED, find the start/finish line (always called AC_TIME_0_L and AC_TIME_0_R for circuits, the L and R being left and right of you when you drive through it) and move it with the X and Y coordinates so they were just ahead of the 1st grid slot (called AC_START_0), exported back to .fbx, opened that in the Kunos editor and saved it as a .kn5 file again.

There's probably an easier way to go about it, but it works so I can't complain.

I just love this car (IRL).
This one is certainly nice but needs some tweaking, mainly on the lights. Brakelights are way too bright, the normal rears are too dark, no dash lights either (maybe too faint, tried only in daytime yet).
Cockpit will need some shaders (my guess) ?

Car feels like the beast it is.
Thanks for the link
Toning down the main cockpit elements from ksAmbient 0.5 to ksAmbient 0.25 helps a lot, but the dashboard takes the body paint and can't be independently edited. Best option is to create a few darker paint jobs. The paint seems oddly matte out on the track too.
Great car though, tons of fun.

That's good information, Lukas. Last night, I had muddled through using 3dSimEd and the KS Editor, and found those values, but was lost from there. I may, if it's ok, play around with the old file and your new file and see your changes to values, and learn. There are loads of great mod tracks out there that exhibit minor issues, and from time to time guys like you, Lilski, and others solve nagging issues. This is one of the great aspects of AC as a platform.

I wish someone would make a carbon skin for the Donkervoort.
Two years ago, our Belgian (now ex) pro cyclist Tom Boonen shared a pitbox with us in Francorchamps on a track day. This is how his car looked (without the canvas hood he used to come to Spa, since it was raining a bit). Pure carbon, layers adjusted to match because it had no paint, only special sealant.

And here's the real dash:

@PC_da_one_84 FYI:
I downloaded the VUHL from your link, unpacked with WinZip, installed and there were no issues with the car.

What works fine for me is to record the replays (I use shadowplay) in 1080p60 resolution. Then I convert the video with Apowersoft Video Converter to 4K resolution. I then upload that 4K converted video (4K 60 fps @ 40Mbps) to YT. Firstly YT then compresses your video to AVC1, which gives horrible video quality. Just wait for a few hours (depending in the size of your video) and then check again the quality. YT compresses all video with higher res than 1080 to VC1 compression. That results in an almost perfect video quality. For me this results in great looking 1080p60 or 1440p60 video.

Thanks for getting back. Yeah, I know of that wait time for YT to convert I think its 360p during that time :D But I waited, it still looks bad - actually it looks just like your first video you posted as an example.
DL'd that program you mentioned, but when I went to convert, I dont get anything higher to convert it to.

Maybe you can pm me and we won't pollute more space here :D

Ah, that's a shame... :(

Btw: Until a few moments ago I have only tried the grey skin, wondering why it did not look like the carbon used IRL.
Now I see the dash matches the car colours... blue, orange, red...:crazy: ... that is plain ugly !

It should look like this:

Indeed I did. I'll send a PM, look top right by inbox, that big red blaring "1" that can be seen from 3 miles away is where pm's are. :D :D

edit: theres no "4k setting" but theres a custom resolution. So I used 3840x2160 (4K reso). Converting now... fingers crossed :D

Well... I just fired up Codermasters F1 2019 which I only got thanks to the Fanatec promotion where you get it for $1.50 with any wheel. My review:

Thank god for AC, Custom Shaders Patch, Content Manager & SOL. Switching from a proper sim back to a game reminds me once again why I don't drive anything but AC+ these days.

I'd like my $1.50 back please as I'll never using F1 2019 again.

Anyone have the same problem as me on the Indianapolis Oval Lane? I can not do race weekends, sometimes I only get training ... Even after I've acquired Content Manager. It gives an error "AI Spline Might" ... it does not happen with the Road Course version. Do you have any "fix"? Thank you very much in advance.

Ya, CM or not, the AI line for that track has been wonky for sometime now. If I have time tonight, I'll make one.

@delpinsky...

Just wondering if there's any possibility you could do a review on your updated Toyota FT-01 Gr.3 and make a version with a little less windscreen occlusion when they sun hits it. I love the mod and your updates, but just can't see enough out of the windscreen when driving into the sun.

Thanks :)

Anyone would have any tips to improve performance, not crash, not use too much CPU in the Le Mans Forza 7 track, the Le Mans 2017 by Tiago ... I downloaded the graphical settings, and it appears on the screen that my CPU is with 98% of acupação, I can not play, sometimes it seems that the cars are in slow motion. I have an i7 generation 4, 16gb of RAM, GeForce Nvidia 960 ... Just to get an idea ... in pCars2, in LeMans, perfect wheel ... as well as pCars1 with 56 cars and with rain. Do you have any adjustments to make in Content Manager? Thank you very much in advance!!

Speaking of an Ai spline....does anyone have one for the San Fran short track that was released a few days ago? The video showed Ai on the track , but after I installed it , said there was no spline. No track preview either.
