Hi guys and gals,
New update:
A monster, an untamed horse, a power to weight ratio worthy of a bugatti, a street car handcrafted by genius english craftsmen with stainless steel and carbon in leicestershire, a symbol of British genius:

Due to the wrong tyre size (i can't update this parameter because the car is floating over the track, sorry) i had to modify the final ratio to get 362 km/h without reaching the red line.

Get it there:

zero error in the log but no lods (please help me DBag )

Any chance to get the wheels to the correct size?

Diameter in real life (275/35 x 18) = 65cm
Diameter in this mod = 60cm

It looks a bit weird. :-(
hi Axel, this is a very common error for modders and can only be corrected by modifying the 3D. to prevent the car from floating above the circuit, you have to play with the size of the tires. Not very realistic indeed but you have to live with it

Thank You Mike, I understand. Tried it by myself with 3DSimed (isolate wheel objects, resize objects, paste it back), but I had no success. Different elements (rim, tyre) were not in line after that.
So it needs a guy with more skills in 3D modifying.

AWESOME! As an 04 VW R32 owner, I lover this!

If we join a Golf with a Skyline, what do we get? A Golfline or a Skyolf.

Here is a mixed one. Front Skyline and rear Golf.

Q for the Reboot Team. From release notes on SEBRING.. at 1.1 the "overly bumpy" road was smoothed out on "feedback".

The charm and sheer madness of Sebring in RF2 is that bone shattering tooth chipping track surface, you can feel every road join and seam. The AC version feels softer in comparison, (not a fair comparison I know, completely different engines), so was the original road surface close to this, and is the version that still had it available anywhere?

Thanks for these.
I'm enjoying the car a lot more after dropping the FFB multiplier down from 3.1 to 1.2. It was bloody hard work before, and the gyro forces on exit were crazy.

I used to live a stones throw from hitech in Port Elizabeth, South Africa where the chassis and body is built, and got to take one for a spin, dont recall exactly which model but it has a ford motor in the body not the volvo one. Still, absolute weapon. Cant wait to give this one a go!

Edit, just googled it, it was the M12 that featured the Ford motors.

Hey Mike, I added @DBag's LODs and shifting animation fixes to your 'Phantom GT-R' and added my own adjustment to the driver position (he holds the wheel now), a few cockpit shader tweaks, and a UI update. Hope this is cool with you. Feel free to rehost it if you want. Version is upped to 1.2 but it'll overwrite the original car.

Nissan Skyline 2000 'Phantom GT-R' KPGC110
The fourth-generation Skyline, the C110 (nickname: Ken & Mary), was launched in November 1972, but the GT-R version was launched in January of the following year so production only lasted four months. With its 6-cylinder in line DOHC 24-valve S20 engine, it was the first domestic car to have disc brakes front and rear. This advanced engineering made it very popular, but production was halted at 197 units after stricter exhaust emission regulations were introduced.
The fact that it didn’t participate in touring car races coupled with its very limited production run led this model being known as the “Phantom GT-R.” Intake air duct, disc brakes for four wheels, mesh front grille, over fenders on wheels, and the rear spoiler as standard equipment also attracted attention. But it was very rare even in those days for people to see this model running.

edit: oops, called it the Skylinen in the UI.
Fixed.
New link above.
Great car and great updates! One though, the mirrors on the fenders are screwed/flipped. Using VR real CSP mirrors.

Maybe I will convert Brooklands next? (and then resume open-sourcing "Guy-Ills")

Cool. I like what you are doing @RMi_wood with the conversions and making them available for free which "Guy-Illes" does not want to do.
Keep up the great work and i know you are learning allot by doing the conversions.

Thank you for the Zwickau track which you know who also did. Look forward to see any more tracks down the line you might try to do..

take care.

Essington Park --not an AC mod yet, but could be good (Actually Gilles has it--see bottom)

On the subject of converting tracks from older sims, I enjoyed this track in GTR2, and I know it came from rFactor. It has a nice flow and some elevation changes, and the trackside features are pretty good. I drove it quite often. As far as I'm aware, there's not a version of it for AC yet.

I couldn't for the life of me remember the name, but I remembered it had a windmill. I Googled "track mod with a windmill," and it popped up.

[EDIT] I spoke, or rather wrote, too soon, sorta. Gilles did do a basic, straight conversion. I missed it on a previous search, and you have to poke around his site to find things. Still, this track is a good candidate that could be "remastered" for AC.

Ok, ok... far from the real thing (lights etc). However, the CM/CSP night-track enhancement looks promising until a proper modified version is released... Just tidying up a few more bits, like a track-skin to give it some uniformity and an improved look... What's that you say? The FPS detriment counter? So far, have tried 18-24 car grids with an average loss between 15-20fps...

I'd be interested to know what the immersion-feel is like from a VR user's point of view once released... So far so good 👍

Edit: Just viewed the video from this link and the track-lighting quality is far poorer than the actual AC replay... hmmm

Looking good, would be great to get an update with the light posts in the correct spaces.

But please drop the flouro yellow lighting on the control tower ;) (and along pit lane)

Yes, it looks like a pretty good looking track in Rfactor with the animated windmill. I have the track from Gilles and will take a brief look at it again tomorrow. There is a video he did showing his version but it is a very very poor video so I didnt post that one. I want to see if the converted track provides for both the long and short versions of Essington. The GTR2 version has 3-4 layouts.

I Just browsed around myself, I found this you tube little better video of the Essington track for AC, but the track link leads back to Gilles. but anyway here is the video. I think he is a French Sim racer showing the video replay.

Just wondering if any of the GTP track modders might be able to throw some light on an issue I'm having with a track that is crashing since updating to CSP 0.1.64/0.1.65_Preview1.

It loaded just fine with 0.1.60, but now when I try to load the track, I get an error message that reads:

Unexpected Error
Ooops

File: source\ac_classes\ShaderVariable.cpp
Function:set
Line 53

Does that mean anything obvious to anyone here?
