Works only on oval now, I beleive its an update they made awhile back
How does CC know the track you’re driving on is an oval or not?
I have spotter turned off on my default profile, as it doesn’t feel right to me hearing that on road courses, but when I ran NASCAR’s at rt_daytona a month ago, my spotter-enabled CC profile didn’t spot.

Hi Guys

Here's a small update to the interior to the Dodge Chager STR8 GR.3 (Fictional Race Car) by JK1977

Do think that this car still needs a bit of work in the interior 3d model and texture allocations.

This is the best I can do with the textures allocated in this model :)

Copy my textures into each skins folder.

Update details:

  • New alcn_NM and upscaled
  • New alcnt and upscaled
  • Added curves to Bulloni_Loghi texture and upscaled
  • Added curves to detail_parts_out and upscaled
  • Reworked details_racing_01 texture
  • New Dirt_Metal_Scratches and upscaled
  • New ext_plastic texture
  • New red fabric_04_s texture and upscaled
  • Reworked INT_ALCANTARA_AO and upscaled
  • Reworked INT_CARBON_AO and upscaled
  • Hue and surface blur added to LCD texture, upscaled too
  • New leather texture and upscaled
  • New MAT_Carbon texture and upscaled
  • New MAT_Carbon_NM texture and upscaled
  • Reworked metal_detail texture and upscaled
  • Motec_LCD texture upscaled
  • Reworked net_01_occ texture and upscaled
  • New plastic_01_g texture and upscaled
  • New plastic_01_g_n texture and upscaled
  • Reworked interior racing_decals_g texture

Kunos cars are encrypted into kn5 and acd-files. Very easy to break with cm and various other now common software. In fact so easy that you might not even notice it is encrypted. But it is.
Technically all games are encrypted with personal files extension (most of the time) developed by the studio itself and which are not normally open to end-users.

Then there's people who develop software to decrypt those files. This means that (IF) someone wants, there's the possibility to un-encrypt mods too, but no one cares and no one have developed it yet (or make it available on the web at least) as far as i know.

There are some people who can decrypt mods from others. But it takes some searching in some groups :-)

I know it (even my previous messages says a bit different), but if no one shared a tool is because no one is almost interested in it. A great scratch made mod is perfect because curated on every single detail and, as said other times, in that case i accept the encryption to preserve what they did meanwhile for ripped things no, i can't accept it. Is like grab (in fact it is) others work and sell it as yours (even you put 200hrs of work on it it will never be 100% your work).

For those not already aware, Opperslang's Alfa TZ3 Stradale Zagato has been utterly transformed. Amazing mod.

that is an awesome mod indeed, and for all who prefer roofless cars ,
you can download my skin

There is a tiny hole now through which you can see the track , due to the roof parts hidden, but overall it's enjoyable I think.
(and from the outside it doesn't appear roofless I know... )

Was having a look at different patreon sites, am a paid member of few.

Have downloaded some of Ceky's public releases before but was just looking at he's fee's.

Madness!

Fortunately you can find all he's ripped mods on YouTube lol!

Don't get me wrong, he's conversions/work is good but fee's are a bit over the top

holy **** i thought this said he was making that much a month lol

Hi guys, i was surfing the net for some thew mods and i found this site that has two interesting cars, the Hipole Vento LMH and the Hipole Aria GT3, but i couldn't quite figure out how to get them, if anyone is interested to have a look here is the site:

You can find the car at overtake (it's still strage to call RD with its new name for me): https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/authors/hipole.2168889/

I totally agree with you. And i Even know there a different types of encryption. Mods I even can‘t generate custom previews are for the Recycling Bin. Mods with „soft“encrypted kn5 are totally ok for me, so i could editing the data.acd (for better BOP or other improvements to Race on Singleplayer)

Update day 3

F1 2012 2.5 End of Life update

This update adds a new Schumacher 3D Helmet to replace kunos one I was using for the 3rd schumacher skin

It also adds Ferrari India skin with the navy flag, renamed S4 to Valencia so that people knows that this S4 skin is from Valencia with Valencia mirrors

And finally, all cars have realistic leds animation, each team had a preference, catheram and ferrari had green leds for kers, redbull had a red drs button in the middle of the steering wheel, lotus marussia and other teams used the first two green led to tell that you are in a drs zone, and last 3 green drs to show you activated drs. Each car has its own animation. Discover them all. Kudos to Warlol for gathering all information about LEDS animation of each teams

This also fix any DRS leds from original codemaster steering wheel that had no shader applied and was all black and very reflective.

Fixes :

- Fixed Ferrari cockpit that had a white part due to bad UV mapping, fixed alpha testing on steering wheel decals and having the wrong driver3D.ini

- Fixed Mclaren Hamilton Silverstone helmet showing button skin instead

- Fixed redbull cockpit overlapping with another car part

If you have black tyres in game, switch compound once to force Assetto to load the textures, and it should work correctly for every compound you chose.
One thing about the 2007 mod:

Weirdly, when in track, upon pressing ESC(only in Weekend, not in Race mode), the F1 2007 mod keeps CTD-ing when trying to go back to the pits. I have no idea why it does it in this mode and not in Race.

All your other mods are fine in either mode.

I always install fully manually.

RSS encrypt their models, but, if you purchase them, upon request, they allow designers to develop livery that they shows on their instagram accounts for promote their work. This is what i call being professional. They protect their work, but allow people who supports them to use their assets.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong in grab stuff from others (like cars and tracks which basically almost 90% of the AC content is), but only if you do it in the right way (no encryption or paywall for things done by others).

I always shared my work for free and over the years i basically put my hands on almost everyone of the 600+ tracks i have in my HDD because almost all of them have small issue or things that can be improved ONLY BASED on my settings for my pc, settings in game and ppfilter i use, which is not meaning the work done by the author is bad, but means only that is not right for my own experience.

Why i always did for free? No idea, maybe because i'm idiot hahaha. Jokes apart, since all weekends i spend all my free times on configs and track cameras, like many others, i could have opened a Patreon but, until now, i never felt the need for it probably because i found a great place which is this community where i learnt a lot and where i saw my content being appreciated by others.

I will ever open a Patreon? Never say never said someone in the past. Maybe yes, maybe not, maybe is too late now. To be honest i don't know, maybe i could open it in order to allow people to request things when they need, but since i never thinked about it at the moment i have no idea on how i could structure it if i ever open it. The only thing i'm sure about is that, even i will ever open it, i will always keep releasing stuff for free since i'm grateful to this community for all the mods that they provided us and for the knowledge they shared with me too.

Oh yes, important thing that i forgot while writing this loooooooooong post: i will never ever encrypt anything (even i don't know if is possible with tracks and what its required to do it XD)

Literally something I would say lmao.

Yeah free is for idiots like us, who just want it easy and found our place in a community whom is willing to help us anytime. Still, being grateful is something that fades away in 2024, less and less people know the meaning of that word

Encryption is fine for 100% handmade assets, but encryption in conversion mods is...... questionable (don't want any more warning points mods) since the base content can be found elsewhere..... But it's like noooo this car that I took somewhere and on which I changed texture is now MINE! Ridiculous stance

Patreon is kinda late, but some people take on a patreon midway to publish "beta version" of their works in patreon before the 1.0 release for free. This seems the most "honest" way to do a patreon nowadays.

Totally agree with you, of course everyone is free to do whatever he want, i always did it for free because well, i would have done anyway for myself so, no one forced me doing anything. Modding is a passion, not a profession for me.

I spend my free time doing it because i like doing it and i want doing it.

As said, i don't have any plan to do a Patreon, but if i will ever do it, i will make in order to allow patrons to ask the things they need on their content (like happened many times via DM) with a reasonable timing and for a small fee, for sure not the amount reported few post above ahahahah.

As it happens, my problems with the wrong bridge #s 2&3 were solved by a fresh install of Brands, after which the intended 1970 bridge signage was working. Too many configs from various add-ons, I suspect. So if, when you have selected the 1970 layout and the 1970 skin, you are still seeing the modern day Brands logos on bridges 2&3, read on. (Or re-install ks_Brands...)

Re: Brands Hatch 1970 Skin
It was still sporting the newest Brands Hatch logo on the 2nd & 3rd bridges... I searched here <https://logos.fandom.com/wiki/Brands_Hatch_Circuit> , finding the logo for that year. I couldn't confirm that year's logo was on the bridges, but safe to say the current Brands logo wasn't (Immersion Buster). The attached file drops the old logos into the 1970 skins folder in ks_brands_hatch, so you need to have that skin loaded already, oc.

CORRECTION: I got wrong the first time. The sign shown here is from the 1963-1969 Brands Hatch. If that's useful to you, back it up, because it will be replaced with the 1970 version.

The skin: https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/brands-hatch-1970-track-skin.66996/

Hello guys.
i've a situation that is driving me crazy.
I'm trying to make races with 1/3 of the real race laps and 3 times the tyre consumption, but no matter what i try the ai start pitting when they shouldn't.
i've even removed the ai consumption, but they still pit, sometimes the same ai when they start pitting, it stops every lap on the race.
I don't know what might be doing this.
I've seen this behaviour on rss formula americas, but i don't know if it's because of that car or some sort of bug in the game.
Checking the log file on Assetto Corsa/logs folder i could see the following line multiple times
STINT IS OVER FOR CAR: 5 REQUESTING PIT STOP, FUEL:70.0 FUELLAPS: -1.0
But i don't know what that mean.
Can someone help me ?
Thanks

Fooling around with the vhe_hockenheim track. I forgot how much I like to drive this track. Most things are being done via track skins at the moment so I don't forsee the need to make a separate track. Plus, it will be easy to go back to the stock look if you don't like the changes by simply deleting the track skins. What is being done through the config file are things that people may want even if you don't use the track skins.

-- Config changes include real time car numbers on the digital leaderboard and live jumbotron displays (not shown in the images) as well as track lights when it rains.
-- Track skins include new grass textures, altered normals for the tree shader to fix the weird shadowing and a few ambient and diffuse adjustments.

I still need to work out the grass and tree brightness to try and match how the track looked originally, but I like the changes so far.

Someone already tried one of these?
Maybe someone could upload a "filled" excel file for both versions as I dont have access to my computer atm.

Thank you!
