did she improve?
A significant improvement, the problem is that currently everything halves more than 50% of the fps and in the test I did I went from 175fps to 60fps, so for me it's unusable, but there's a lot of room for improvement in the future, also because the dssl5 is a stolen version and not yet official... we'll see in the future...
I'm open to all changes, we try them, if they don't work, we trash them and move on, I don't see all these problems, you have to buckle up and enjoy the ride, also because we're not driving the train...

I’m going to reorganize the car logo sections mess, so as a sample then all the Ferrari’s can be found in the Ferrari section only and not in the ACL, Grandprix1958 or whatever group the car modder is using.
Is there a good website that does have ready to use car logo’s from specific long forgotten cars, like Studebaker, Panhard, Packard etc.

I know if there is an car update (=very rare), then I have to correct this manually.

Great job! This might be your best car yet. Cheers!

Edit: re bugs, the wiper isn't performing properly (even though only certified psychopaths would ever choose to drive a Group C car in the rain).

Or decide that you don't like where the train is headed, and decide it's time to get off and change your destination.

On a happier note:

New fantastic-looking track from the very talented creator of Pinwheel Circuit, je5.

Video:

Give it a look - I'll be doing so for sure this week.

I fired up RRE for the first time in probably 3-4 years, figure I check out the differences and also the Super Tourer contents. I still get weird bug for control mapping but outside of that, still decent. Also AI cars don't commit suicide everywhere....I honestly would prefer fixing that before introducing all the GFX niceties. AC is still a great solo lapping simulator, but I feel like it used to race a lot better...

A preview (hot laps) of the simulated race (1975 24 Hours of Le Mans) featuring Michèle Mouton (Champions Career Mode).
Due to PC issues, I likely won't be able to run the full race until next week; for now, it's just practice with some of the participating cars and a few final adjustments.

De Cadenet T380

Lola T294 (in reality, the cars (28/29) are like this)

BMW 3.0 CSL

Ligier JS2

Porsche Carrera RSR

Ford Capri

Sigma MC75
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UQVZfW3SMo

Mirage GR8 ( ReWork )
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XrL8w4TAxs

For now, only the Alpine A441 and the Moynet LM75 (a conversion) are missing. Many of the other cars appear in some videos, but I won't be doing laps with them (March 75s, Tecma 755, Porsche 908.03—which is a conversion; perhaps another modder will make a much better one soon).

This is simply amazing! Will you be working on more group C cars in the future?

Wikipedia is great for that

It doesn't have all of them though, for example the best I was able to do for the McKee logo was find a photo of one of the cars, crop it to be just the logo and some of the sheetmetal it was on, AI upscale it with chAInner and then finish cutting it out, and then manually retouching it a bit to get a logo that looked alright, and the upscaling model I used was probably not ideal for what I was doing either so it's slightly jank. Would be a good base to recreate as a vector though, which I don't know how to do. I think LeGrand was the other really obscure one I had to find and upscale and cut out. Also not my greatest work but for a tiny thumbnail in CM it does the job.

In case anybody wants them or wants to use them to create better ones:

what a nice track - the flow, the environment, the design is amazing, but am I doing something wrong with AI settings, because with the latest v1.5 I am 3 seconds ahead with not even extreme pushing. It was just a short testrace with kunos dtm cars.
however still amazing and nice work shin!
Thanks for your feedback!
I tried updating the AI, but I couldn’t create anything better than the v1.5 AI.
I’d be happy if someone could update the AI line (not just for this track).
Please test it in Hot Lap and Race modes.
If it’s faster than before, I’ll try to include it in the next version.

Helpful Tips for Creating AI line by parrilla;

... find a photo of one of the cars, crop... AI upscale... cutting it out, and then manually retouching... to get a logo that looked alright...
... and so, dear friends, that is how we get those wonderful mods we all enjoy (often for free) with a simple mouse click; mods that some people sometimes ruthlessly criticize without realizing the immense amount of work that goes into them.

Once again, thank you to all the creators.

Ugggh, Wikipedia. I prefer hopping on the bus down to the library and looking through the encyclopedias to get my information thank you very much. None of this lazy clicking on links in the ether.........

DLSS debate in a nutshell. It will all come out in the wash and we will look back and chuckle.

Well whatever its great watching the games people are adding DLSS 5 to, once its official i'll have a play around with it for sure. Wonder what it would do to say GTR 2.

What this and tell me that game devs ever need to get the graphiocs any better then a start point for AI to take over... incredible and scary at the same time...

Can DLSS5 stop Pyyer's track extension textures from shimmering and flickering like some cold war psychological torture apparatus? Or do they just need making properly?
the dlss that comes with the newest versions of csp in the last couple months has already fixed that. I use the DLAA method at the extensions look better than ever.

So it actually fixes all the z-fighting in the flickering textures? Interesting. Maybe that's why he never seems to see it, if he has DLSS active. I always found it weird that he was happy for his extensions to get released as automotive strobe lights.

My reply was about finding old manufacturer logos, not about the info within those pages...

NVM, needs ExtraFX which cannot run in VR.
I'll stick to the AMD FSR upscaling, which gives great results but doesn't magically fix flickering textures.

This is something that AI actually is useful for.
Just paste your rough version into ChatGPT and tell it to create a sharp high-quality vector from it. Moments later:

Pochi istanti dopo:

Biggest problem with this DLSS 5 stuff is that as a gamer in their 50s i can remember from ZX spectrum , Amiga 500, PS1, Xboxes then going through PC upgrades from 1060 to 2070 to 5060 ti over last ten years or so, that i used to play on my Amiga and think it was the muts nuts and my imagination added A LOT, DLSS 5 looks so good, there is a danger that once you play with it, its going to be hard to go back as your brain now knows how it should look rather than your imagination making up the rest...
I think ive expressed that about as well as i can....

Yeah, sorry, my comment was not even taking your reply into consideration (my bad). I was still dizzy with anti DLSSS thoughts and stopped assimilating information properly. Will do better going forward.

definitely do not replace anything made by the major mod teams with 101/VR Driving. you'd be doing yourself a big disservice.

the URD Radicals were made with real-world telemetry from the Radical factory itself - both of them are officially licensed, bespoke creations.

There's a reason the SR3 is still one of the most popular sim racing cars in ranked sim racing - it's an incredible car, extremely fun to drive, with fantastic FFB. And it's free.

The SR10 is a simple evolution of that car - with more power. Not too much different to drive, which is a good thing. Fits a little bit better on FIA Grade 2 tracks and even certain Grade 1 tracks. Its big weakness is its lack of skins available (likely due to it being a pay mod) - I've had to throw numbers on the stock colors.

I haven't driven the 101/VRD car, and won't ever. One of their "hallmarks" for the past year or two is using ChatGPT for a ton of the physics work, to predictable results. To be candid, that rendition won't be in the same universe as the URDs.
Have to agree with you there. The URD version is much better. And although it's not terrible, the 101 versions poorly done skins puts it in the recycle bin for me.
101's cars drivability have certainly declined with the use of AI 'physics'. I used to think a lot of their cars drove OK, but some of the more recent efforts have not been good at all. A prime example of that is the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR 2005 Time Attack, that I drove for 2 minutes before deleting. I think the suspension arms were made from pogo sticks.

Something something AI hallucination from a guy who literally AI-generated images of his sister, his house, and his cars on their Discord to make them look upper-class and rich. Same guy who claims that he was the first-ever customer for the Amuse R35 program (he was not; it was a Japanese person) and is now claiming to have moved to Hong Kong and set up an entire server and studio there.

Same guy who literally made up an entire person as the "spokesperson" for their AI physics to make them look professional, and is constantly lying about working with actual car companies to make simulator versions of their cars for customers to test out.

Yes, anyone with a brain can go over his "physics" and realize that the majority of it is bogus, completely incorrect, and all the other **** that he claims to be super accurate. I have owned a decent chunk of the cars he's made "physics" for, and they have always been complete fictional ********. R35, IS300, the Mitsu Evo you mentioned (similar, as I used to have a Time Attack build of one; idk, probably not a good comparison, but lol), and a few of his Mercs & BMWs.

His E90 M5 V10 is horrific to drive, but IRL it's absolutely a dream to drive. It's honestly impressive how bad it is.

You can maybe try this implementation and see how it looks/performs until its natively integrated into CSP.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet myself but I am using DLSS (DLAA) for my triples. The issues I reported in the past with it being blurry/low res were fixed.
