I just bought BF2 against my better judgement. A lot of luck involved in this game. Incredible graphics and sound, terrible gameplay. Fun if not taken seriously but it's no Counter Strike or Day Of Defeat.

I've only played for one day and unlocked 2 weapons got about 9 awards and went up in rank 4 times! Took me months to be as good as I am in Counter Strike and I'm still trying to improve at Day Of Defeat. That's because BF2 is mainly luck.

Another thing with this game is all the idiots. It seems to have a lot more players that are team wounding and team killing than any game I've ever played. Far too many players do nothing but try to ruin the game.

It's certainly not as good as the original Battlefield in gameplay but it does have much, much better graphics. I'm using the tweak to get the Ultra_High graphics settings and still getting over 60FPS.

I also think the commander mode is a feature that should not have been implemented and I think the squad system needs work.

Another thing I would have liked would have been some war theatre history rather than this fictional scenario with this bullcrap MEC side.

Ah well I'll have to wait for the FH, EOD, SH, USI, TW, POE and DC modifications to be released. They'll be far better than BF2.

But have you had a 360 order get lost on there system, and then they go oh we get your 360 to you on the 2nd shipment. Then they do not.

@Cobra: You know there will not be a DC mod out for BF2, since the makers of DC mod helped out in BF2. But there is a copy version of DC mod being made mate.

Well that was great fun! I was playing with one guy named Weary and we were both in the SU-30 bombing everything, then next map Dalian Plant a bunch of his buddies came in and 4 of us were in 2 Z-10s obliterating everything, my gunner's TV missle skills were superb. It was so much fun but then they had to leave. I was excited to see my rank progress after all those high scoring rounds but I didn't even put a small dent in it. But still great fun! 👍

Sure mate, no problem at all.

If I was involved in DC I'd remove the commander mode. I'd also have a player controlled UAV (limited air time) and "big" missiles (Tomohawk/SCUD/etc). These will be controlled by the same player once entering a building with a radar dish and close to it would be the launchers. Both of these could be destroyed by C4 and not respawn until repaired.

I'd go back to a stationary ammunition and health unit (both in one unit). I'd really like to see the old style artillery (Paladin and MRLS). Old style artillery used in conjunction with UAV info and squad leader intel can still make it a very potent weapon. I'd also make all homing missiles more accurate. I'd also limit the squads to 4 and increase the number of players to 12 per squad. I'd remove the ability to throw med and ammo kits on the ground to prevent stat padding. The support class will simply give ammo by coming close to another player, like the medic class. I'd remove the ability to repair any vehicle in motion to stop the Blackhawk exploit. I'd also remove the player controlled missiles and just make them homing.
I'd also have some bigger stationary SAM sites like the Patriot system at airfields.

Helicopters are not fun anymore. The pilot should fire unguided AG missiles and homing AG missiles. The gunner should fire the machine gun and AA missiles. Also the manoeuvrability of the helicopters needs to be improved. It's now even worst than BF:V.

What do you guys think? Do you think these changes would be good?

The manueverability of the Blackhawk is bad, yes. But the cobra, z-10, and mi-28. But I defintely would like EA to tone down the power on the MI-28 Gunner gun. It's unfair to cobras, the gattling gun is not match to it. IT's like throwing grenades at you that explode on impact.

Anyway I recently got into jets after finally finding out how to bomb correctly. But the tking for jets is worse then Helos. It's horrible. I got a J-10 and a guy got in my runway wanting me to TK him and I swerved to the otherside of the runway and missed him but once I crashed near the end of the round he chased me with a FAV untill he ran me over and took the jet.

I have been having problems of late with bombing, keep training in single player with the jets. Some tips fly a bit lower, and lower your speed as your about to drop the bombs.

Yeah, you've gotta hate that. Generally if i'm running to get any vehicle at the same time as a team mate, i'll stop running a walk away. I hate the smug remarks people post when they beat you, so i just walk away and if they comment, just reply "I was even racing you homo" or words to that effect. Damn kids

I play with Dodge The Viper quite often, actually just stopped recently after getting kicked for TKing because I ran over a guy on the runway because I got to the F-15 first.

Anyway if you can understand this, for bombing.

American jets. Wait untill the the box touches the very top of the line then drop the bombs, this is most of the time effective in fighter jets and always get a kill with bombers. (F-15)

Chinese And MEC : These are hard because you have to drop the bombs when the box gets to the middle of the line. Which is hard going 800km/h.

I prefer american jets. Definetly the Su-34, F-15, or SU-30.

And Donbenni, TVR, and DQuan. You should join me and Dodge The Viper sometime.

But before I got kicked, in the previous map (Wake Island 2007) me and Dodge The Viper were having a battle taking the lead of score and we were going back and forth untill finally I ran out of targets to bomb and he got the top score for our team. Next map (Operation Clean Sweep) me and him sweeped the map almost completely in taking over CPs. Oh and when trying to take over the last flag of the MEC's I took the MI-28 and a friendly F-15 shot me down. (1st teamkill) Then we were taking over a base and the dropped bombs on us because it was still the MEC's flag. (2nd Teamkill) We were driving along in a DPV and he bombed us again I guess thinking we were the enemy dunno why we were the only car around and then he got kicked. He TKed us three times. (Username was Photec, btw.) Then Dodge The Viper's computer crashed so I took the F-15 and got 45 points worth of kills before the round was over. Once you finally get how to bomb you really rack up the points. Then of course next round, as I said, I got kicked for running over someone on accident because he wanted the jet.

Oh and then something that made me chuckle, after killing the same guy for the third time with the F-15 after I bombed him in his AA tank he typed. "I know you want to be good but you still are a noob."
