How do you pick up other peoples kit? I haven't managed to do it yet.

You have to be standing over the satchel type bag and then press the relevant key which you should be able to see in the control menu somewhere. I think I've set mine to G, but that may not be the default key

G is the default. Useful thing to know. A lot of people's favs is if a medic on their squad dies near them then they switch to his kit and revive him. You do loose your kit though.

I just remembered, i stabbed a sniper in the head last night, was very funny. He was standing on a roof overlooking a load of my troops and i was only 5 meters away from him. I had my DAO out but thought that was too easy so switched to knife and sprinted at him, didn't even stop when i reached him, just knifed in the head, and dived off the building to rejoin the battle. Sick, but funny.

I was at Fushe Pass, I think, and I was ambushed by a tank with Dodge_The_Viper and I got out of the car and managed to climb the hill fast enough to get away from it. As I was about to pass over the top of the hill I saw a missle that sounded the same as an AT missle pass right over the top of the hill just missing me. I took out my 92FS and ran over the hill and was rather suprised to see an enemy AA tank right infront of me. Luckily he was pointed in almos exactly the opposite direction, and I spotted him because what he was pointing at was our Cobra. So now that our cobra knew it's position they obliterated it and I was on my merry way.

I had fun at Strike at Karkland last night. Me and another medic were lying on the floor trying to take control of an out post when i got shot and killed. The other medic swiftly took out the offender and revived me, only to then get shot himself. I repeated the favour for him and then got shot again myself, so he did it again. This happened three or four times untill we took control of the outpost and took off!

So whats peoples opinions of BF2 SF?

For me, the biggest merit for getting SF are getting access to the new unlocks for base BF2. The SCAR-L has become my favorite weapon in the game by far and flashbangs are quite useful on Karkand and Sharqi. You can even blind tanks and such, so it gives infantry a new advantage there.

The SF maps aren't bad, with only 3 really standing out as great IMO: Ghost Town, Devil's Perch and Warlord. I really dispise Leviathan for some reason... I've yet to have a satisfying round on that map.

Whether or not it's worth the ~$30 USD really depends. It was a no-brainer for me, since it's not all that expensive and I wanted the new toys for use with the base game.



....I've also fixed my frame rate issues. I'm averaging about 60-70 FPS at 1280x1024 with everything set to high except textures. Turns out I've had my Cool N Quiet settings all messed up from the get go. Loaded new NForce4 drivers and it was all good. Funny how much better your CPU runs when you let it go from a x5 to x9 multiplier

I had some real great matches last night. Got spec ops combat, medic combat, supply combat, ground defence, anti tank combat, Silver star and Armoured Service Ribbon.

Unfortantly the badges havnt been updated yet, and im wondering if they will at all.

Got a new kill streak of 24 and a new Best round.

My score hasnt been updated, though my kills and deaths have. So weird, btw i was playing on GameArena Servers.

yes, its apparetnly a problem with GA servers, so i wont be playing on them again until they fix this issue.

I think Surge and Mass Destruction are better for me. I'm still lost on the Iron Gator map. Usually, I try to get to the top to see if anything is going on there.

Ah well I've finally cracked and ordered SF. I figured it would probably be worth it as I always get my moneys worth out of all the BF games I've bought so far (well I've never bought an addon, unless you count Vietnam) and more variety is always good. As I'm usually a lone gunman the extra tactical element should be fun. Or rather any weapon that helps me take out as many bad guys as possible before I'm gunned down (Something I always found easy in BF V).

Noticed in many of the screenshots posted here are only on 16 player maps (or atleast maps with few players), maybe its just me but I much prefer 64 player games. Always good when 15 or so players are all firing their assault rifles at the same time in one area.

I use 64 on BF2, but I can go for 32 on BF2:SF.
