I'm starting to think that with snipers if you shoot someone very close to they're base and you are a distance away it's going to take a few more shots. Because every time I shoot someone in the head at their base it doesn't kill them but when it's at our base it kills them...

Ok I finally got my replacment PSU through after the new one I brought before sending it back was faultey. This replacment should work now right I hope my big bro comes around later today, then I can start playing BF2 tonight or Sunday.

Install it yourself. You can't spend forever asking other people to do computer shizzle. It's not that hard to replace the psu, i'm sure google can find you a good tut.

I can install the PSU myself I decide about it later its just all those cables. Which means I do not want to fry the motherboard.

Strange I got a basic pistol combat badge and a veteran pistol combat match in the same round at exactly the same time, yet in stats it only lists a veteran pistol combat badge?

Now I'd be suprised if I got a Veteran badge so quickly, especially if a basic pistol combat badge does actually exist?



I hate installing PSUs particually if your replacing one, seperating all the cables is annoying.

I did the same thing. For basic you need 7 kills in 1 round, but for veteran you need 50 kills and 7 kills in 1 round.

I got the basic Medic, Command, and Anti-Tank medals today, along with a Combat ribbon and a silver star.

I played straight from 1 in the afternoon to 10 at night, and i've barely gone up towards Corporal...jeez this is hard. O_o

Yep, yep. I got my basic armour badge today. No biggie I'm not really aiming for anything maybe when I get bored I'll go for certain badges and ribbons and such.

I got first defrib kill yesterday Was hilarious. The guy had just killed one of my team mates and lay down next to the body. I ran up and defribbed both of them

The Comp. Restarting problem has gotten worse. After a few trys, it used to work, but now, nothing!
I've checked tons of BF2 forums, and no one can find out how to solve the problem for everyone. Tons of people have the problem. They all say, "Its the game, not your comp."

I can see why so many people are boycotting the expansion until this one is fixed.

Since upgrading to 1gb ram and the 1.02 patch, I haven't had this issue.. any issues actually.

What's your specs McLaren?

I'm running a 2600XP, 1gb, 9800pro and i've not had one issue with the game. If you're using anything less than 512 mb RAM, you should definitely upgrade and if you have got 512 maybe, as Lee is suggesting, you should get a gig.

I've had 1 gig for ages and had no problems whatsoever with 1.01 before it was discontinued. Yet with 1.02 every map load the hard drive goes nuts for about 10 seconds (in game) and occasionally when I fire the anti-tank rocket launcher, which is pretty annoying. Certainly not an issue with my comp, it runs BF2 fine (perfectly before). Hoping the next patch will be as good as 1.01 was for me
