A cracking setup absolutely love it, I'm able to go faster and faster the more I get use to the feel of the car, plus having recently turn off all assist. :gtpflag:
 
As mentioned in previous page, I still have quite a few tunes that need posting, hoping to get them up this weekend. But the next round of Lap Time testing is underway, 550pp but cannot reveal the track. Found a surprising car and may have found a sneaky sleeper as well. Car of the Month reviews and prep for next month are taking up some time, but will be getting that sleeper tune up really soon.

Great tune Bowtie,,,,I took it out to the National A at Silverstone. Great grip and acceleration. Needs some throttle control, however, if you get a little greedy with the right foot....it is very forgiving. Was turning 2:20.xxxs with it, definite room for improvement on my part. Fun ride!

I tested this car at the Indy Road course in the current Seasonal. While a little stiff for my liking, it was a very competitive tune. Easy on the gas is the word here. This car has lots of power and will light up the tires at about any time. Good grip and holds the corners well. Liked the new trans., fits me and the track well. (how are you liking the new packages Bowtie?) One of the fastest down the front straight I have seen today. (165+) A wild child for sure, but a lot of fun!

Both can be a bit wild but that should be expected. The newer needed to be to get it to rotate, PD botched this car a bit as I've driven them and they don't PLOW in reality as they do virtually. I like my new way of setting the trans, gives me what I'm looking for, other ways may benefit certain cars, but it works for me on a broad spectrum of tunes. Think it helps control many cars on exit while still giving the power down the straights. Again, there may be better out there, but I like it.:dopey:

NOTE: All of the muscle cars from the 60's-70's for the most part are quite disappointing by the way PD programmed them, this car and the El Camino to me are the most. GT5 this car was eh!, still is or worse in GT6, needs to be driven a certain way to really enjoy. The trans is set up to keep the rear in check and to optimize power - therefore you need to shift early at 6000rpm and not red line. Keeping trans in higher gear will actually benefit some corners.

What a great tune @Bowtie-muscle! 👍 I didn't install the Triple-Plate Clutch, only because I don't like how fast it makes the shifts. I really only put those clutches in modern supercars that come with flappy paddle selectors and a DCT type of transmission stock. But anyway, yeah...this tune is awesome! The car is a total torque monster. :D

I was a little nervous, at first, by the 58:42 weight distribution but all fears were quickly removed by the end of my first lap around Red Bull Ring. I misread the tune and installed Sport Hard tires, but truth be told SH tires still provide plenty of grip for this car. You will light 'em up though...so I had to carefully and slowly push my foot to the floor when coming out of a corner in 2nd gear.

Per your note, I did a couple of laps where I would keep the car in 3rd gear instead of 2nd gear around corners and you're absolutely right...the car feels a lot more settled and thanks to the obscene amount of torque you can still pull away from those corners like a lightning bolt!

I had already purchased my '63 Vette in Red, but I may buy another just so I can have one in that gorgeous Silver Blue. The car in your photo is absolutely stunning. I really need to start doing some Photomode of my own. When I see photos, like yours for this car, I'm totally blown away at how good the graphics are in GT6 considering how antiquated the PS3 is. Can you imagine what GT7 on the PS4 might look like? :crazy: :eek:

Great job with this tune! :cheers: I look forward to putting a lot of miles on this Corvette. Oh, I forgot to mention -- these C2's have always been a favorite style of mine among Corvettes. They look classy, like a Mercedes Benz 300 SL Coupe classy, to me, yet they also look so menacing. I've seen a few in person (Black) and they always blow me away.

It can be a really fun car to drive, if you keep in mind the year it is and how PD model the older ones. Really close in my opinion but should be a little better.

Silver blue or a Burgundy look good on this car in my opinion.
