Good playing Minus, I don't know what happened but that was some of my worst playing ever.

 I know he's much worse than I ever was. I'm only a part-time player in comparison.

Yeah... if someone wants to do the math, find my first posts in this thread and compare them to my time played, which I think is 25 and a half days. Then factor in that I was PS3less for a month.

GO!

Somebody get on so I can show off my golden AK.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Glorified excrement! I've been trying all I can to get enough headshots to have a gold AK. But I still have like 250+ to go in the G3, M14 and AK. :indiff:

I think the G3 and MP44 were the hardest. The problem with the G3 is aiming with a single fire weapon is hard because you have to delicately move the right stick but hammer R1 at the same time. The M14 was easier for some reason, probably because Stopping power makes headshots a one-hit kill. I also used the M14's iron sights because they seems to work best. The MP44 was really annoying, the only way I could consistently get headshots was in HCTD. There headshots are one-hit kills so the recoil wasn't a problem. I just had to ninja around and sneak up on people, I got maybe 5 or 6 per match, compared to 1 or 2 on regular (even though I got much more kills.)

Last night I played Sabotage and I was the first in the lobby (meaning I was the host.) I often can't host but I tried it for the hell of it. I ROCKED. It was at Bog and I went 64-20 (the most kills I've got in a single match excluding Shipment.) I used the M16, G.T style. :dopey: )

Forgot to mention the MP44 also. I always do HTDM and I get about 4-7 per match but the respawning has me pissed. I always respawn right next to someone shooting at where I'm standing or OI respawn at the whole other side of the map when I have a nice advantage in weapons over the others.

New modes on their way, ETA still unknown. 402's breakdown:

New Playlists - Status / Process
July 21, 2008 · 22 Comments

Thanks to everyone who helped play test the new playlists last weekend, as well as everyone else who volunteered to help! I received an overwhelming amount of messages, emails, and other friend invites over the past week from the community offering to help out! THANK YOU and I’m sorry we couldn’t include everyone, but the good news is the tests went great (helped us find a few bugs with the new settings) as well as come to final decisions.

That said, we’ve already begun the process to add the new playlists to the game. Don’t get your hopes up just yet, as there is currently no ETA on when you can expect to see them go LIVE, but as soon as I know when you can expect them, I’ll let you know. I’ve walked you through the process we’re going through now at the end of this post. It’s not a long process, but still a process nonetheless.

Hit the jump for a full breakdown of the playlists we’ll be adding, as well as the process involved in adding new playlists to the game.

To give you an idea of what’s required to add a playlist to the game, I’ll break down the process we’re going through now.

1) Setting up the playlists.

Now that we’re ready to make these official playlists, one of our designers (Brent M.) is setting up the playlists and uploading it to PartnerNET so that we can play it locally on the GOLD build of the game.

2) Internal QA Testing

Once the playlists are set up so we can play it locally, the QA department will play test the new playlists and ensure there are no bugs and no problems with the settings. As I said, this past weekend we found a few bugs with Bare-bones Team Deathmatch when we disable perks which allowed you to still use perks in slot 1. So we’ll have to make sure that doesn’t happen in the actual playlist and adjust accordingly.

3) Localization / Translations

While it’s going through QA, our production team has to work on localization of the Gametype descriptions and names so that we can get the new descriptions translated in every language the game is available in.

4) Pushing the playlist live

Once all localization and testing is complete, then we can upload the new playlists and flip the switch to make it available to everyone over Xbox live / PSN. No download or anything is required. The playlist will update seamlessly the next time players get on once it’s uploaded.

As I said, no ETA on how long all this will take, testing is always unquanifiable because you never know what could come up, but I’m expecting this to be a rather smooth process. As soon as I know when we’ll be pushing them live to you guys, I’ll post here and let you know you can expect them.

As a reminder, the new playlists we’re planning on adding include:

Bare-bones Team Deathmatch

No more excuses. No more blaming Martyrdom or Juggernaut for your lack of skills and kills. Bare Bones Team Deathmatch eliminates the excuses and takes it back to basics with standard Team Deathmatch with no perks, no kill streak rewards. Just you, your skill, and your weapons.

Hardcore HQ

Hardcore HQ requires a lot more than just spamming the HQ position with nades and running in guns blazing. Hardcore HQ encourages more tactical gameplay and communication to win with increased damage, no HUD elements, and friendly fire on.

Multi-bomb Search and Destroy

Multi-bomb Search and Destroy starts every member of the attacking team with a bomb. So everyone has the opportunity to plant if they’re good enough.

Hardcore FFA

Even faster paced Free For Alls, where every bullet counts and playing smart is key for a solid k/d ratio. Standard Free for All rules, with Hardcore mode enabled for extra damage, no HUD, and no health re-gen.

****ENDS.

No health regeneration in Hardcore FFA?

Interesting...

Sounds awesome but I can imagine setups on HCFFA being

SAW LMG (very spray friendly)
3xFrag (enough said)
Sonic Boom
Martyrdom

etc :indiff:

The modes that are most interesting are HCHQ (grenades pretty much ruined the regular one for me and BBTD. Man that's gonna rock. :D

All in all I'm very pleased that they are still adding new content. :)

Only setting on FFAHC will be "camp till ya drop".

And I guess many shots will find their head there for becoming headshots.

Is anybody else having a connection issue? I can't even get to the online part of the game.

"Unable to connect to Activision Matchmaking (Error 33)"

Edit: Alright, that cleared up with resetting the PS3.

Going for the Gold Dragunov now. I have red tiger camo for M40 & Drag, Blue Tiger for M21 and R700* and I'm about 20 headshots from blue tiger on da fiddy cal.

*I had 72 headshots by the time I did the Marksman Challenge (100 kills) for this weapon.
edit:
Okay,

M40A3 - Complete
M21- 65 more headshots
Dragunov - Complete
R700 - 65 more headshots
Barrett - 75 more headshots

im nearly lv55 now
so if i go prestige i lose everything correct?
all my perks?
what about the challenges?
lol all for a damn badge
but i know i wont be able to leave it without going prestige

anyone up for a game sometime?
i got 2 or 3 peeps on my list i could see if they wanted to play too
just to keep the numbers up
hopefully this time if i set it up my ps3 wont die like last time
cf you gotta play because i want to see your gold bling :dopey:

Its really not that big of a deal really. Yeah you lose all that stuff, but it doesnt mean that much anyways. And, its a lot of fun restarting over, adds a ton of length to an already addictive mulitplayer.

I will never do prestige. The thought of being away from my .50c for any given amount of time sadens me. Also I would loose my progress for the golden AK-47.

I did prestige, but I'm not doing it anymore, lol.

Anyway, if my parents didn't go overboard thinking I hate them and games are the cause I'd love to play, but it seems like all I get to do is play RB (with supervision!) now...

From,
Chris.

I've done it once for the hell of it.

I'm now back up to lvl. 41, and I have to say I don't regret doing it, as it does add a lot to the game. The only thing I missed was my claymores early on, but they are quick enough to get back. With my favourite gun still being an M16 with ACOG it didn't take long to get that back either.

That said when I get to 55 this time around I'm sticking with it and going for all the challenges.

Regards

Scaff

I have been at lvl 55 for about 2 weeks now and im not budging. I enjoy the game being a lvl 55 so i have everything i have worked to unlock. I am working on all the challenges though. I have a good bit of them and some were fun to get like the hot potato one...haha. And the one where you cook a grenade and kill someone by suicide, hell i do that any chance i get just because i know if they watch the cam they will be like....damn. The one i am going to have a hard time getting is the one where you kill an enemy by shooting c4 through a wall to blow him up, thats going to be a tough one.

I know exactly what you mean breakpoint. I was 55 for only a shortwhile my first time around and then i decided to do prestige and it was the worst decision ever! After I get to 55 again i'm staying there. Alot of those challenges are luck I think. Case in point my first one where you have to kill two people in one shot. I hit two people in the head with the M95 from one end of the map to the other. It's just pure luck or at least that one was. I was aiming to shoot one guy and the second guy ran behind him at the right moment. One thing doing prestige did for me was learn to like guns I disliked the first time around which was the G3. I didn't even use it enough to get the ACOG scope, now I have that and i'm working on the blue tiger camo right now.

I use the G3 some but it all depends on what map really. I like doing overkill with a sniper rifle and the G3. I hate only having a sniper rifle with me, the G3 works well for me unless i get caught at a pretty close combat situation. But at medium to a good ways out the G3 works well for me. I have the ACOG unlocked for it but i don't use that crap on any of my guns, i use the red dot on all of them if they have a scope. I can shoot just as far away and have better accuracy with the red dot. To each his own though.

Anyone up for some playing? I haz a gold Dragunov nao!!

The only challenges I haven't done (besides SMG, LMG and Shotguns) are Counter-Claymore, Counter-C4, and Hot Potato. Go me.
